의료기술의 발달로 인하여 인간의 평균 수명은 80세가 아닌 100세까지 늘어나며, 곧 100세 시대가 열릴 것으로 전망되고 있다. 더불어 융합이 핵심인 4차 산업혁명이 현대 사회의 최대 관심사로 떠오르면서 의료기술의 중요성과 함께 서비스에 대한 중요성도 높아지고 있다. 이에 의료기술과 관광의 융합인 의료관광이 발전하면서 유망산업으로 부각되고 있으며 세계 여러 나라들이 의료관광산업을 핵심전략산업 중 하나로 분류하고 적극 육성하고 있는 추세이다. 이에 맞는 경영전략으로 사용자에게 강한 인상을 심어줄 수 있는 콘텐츠, 마케팅 등이 개발되고 제공되고 있으나, 관리 시스템의 경우 기존의 것을 그대로 유지하고 있어 그 한계가 존재한다. 따라서 마케팅, 콘텐츠 등의 사용자 중심의 시스템과 함께 그에 맞는 효율적인 의료관광 관리 시스템이 필요하다.

국내 B2C(Business to Customer)서비스 산업의 경쟁력 제고를 위해서는 고객 중심의 피드백 분석 및 프로세스 개선과 평가 서비스 체계로의 전환이 필요하다. 이를 위한 중요한 요소는 고객 만족도의 정확한 피드백인데 우리나라에서는 고객 만족도 측정에 대한 정량적이고 표준화된 시스템이 부재한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 여러 B2C 서비스 산업 중에서 최근 고부가가치 산업으로 각광을 받고 있는 의료관광산업에 있어 고객만족도 평가모델을 제안하고 스마트폰을 이용하여 의료관광 고객만족도를 평가하는 어플리케이션 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

고부가가치사업인 헬스케어 산업은 인구의 고령화, 융·복합 의료기술의 발달로 지속적인 성장세를 보이고 있다. 특히 의료관광 산업은 의료선진국들이 정책적으로 추진하고 있으며, 한국도 외국인환자 유치 사업을 적극적으로 지원하고 있다. 다만 한국 의료통역사 정책에 대한 선행연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 외국인환자를 위한 의료통역사 정책의 현황과 문제점을 분석하고, 과제를 제시하고 있다. 문제점은 정책 컨트롤 타워의 미흡과 지방자치단체와의 연계 부족, 의료통역사의 전문성 결여, 의료통역 서비스의 품질 저하, 의료통역사의 열악한 처우 등이다. 개선방안으로써 정책 컨트롤 타워의 구축과 지방자치단체와의 연계 강화, 의료통역사 자격사 제도 전환과 의료통역능력검정시험 응시언어의 다양화, 의료통역 서비스의 품질 향상과 의료통역사 연수 과정의 내실화, 의료통역사의 채용 우대와 간호인력의 활용 및 다문화 의료인력의 양성이 제시된다. 본 연구가 의료관광 산업 발전에 이바지하기를 기대한다.

의료관광은 의료관광객의 응급하지 않은 의료행위에 대해 해외 의료서비스에 접근할 수 있도록 의료서비스와 관광을 함께 연계하는 것을 의미한다. 전세계적으로 의료관광객의 수가 상당한 수준으로 증가함에 따라 의료관광에 대한 관심은 연구자, 정책 입안자, 그리고 매스 미디어에 이르기까지 폭넓게 관심을 받고 있다. 그러나 의료관광에 대한 체계적이며 세부적인 연구노력은 현재 매우 미진하고 제한적인 편이다. 본 연구에서는 중국 의료관광객이 목적지를 선택할 때 선호하는 의료속성을 파악 및 분석하였다. 중국 의료관광객의 중요 선호속성의 이상적 조합을 통해 한국으로의 중국 의료관광객을 유치를 증진할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 컨조인트 분석을 통하여 의료관광 중요 선택속성조합을 도출하였으며 연구결과, 목적지 선택에 있어서 의료 기술의 경쟁력이 가장 중요한 것을 파악되었다. 선택속성조합의 하위요소에 있어서는 국제의료인증이 중요한 사항으로 입증되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 의료기관과 여행에이전시 등 관련 기업에게 마케팅활동을 위한 통찰력을 제공할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 의료관광객이 선호하는 브랜드와 그에 따른 선호요소를 기존의 의료관광목적지 분석연구와 연계하여 좀 더 체계적인 의료관광 상품의 개발과 한국의료관광의 역량을 강화하는데 본 연구가 일조할 것으로 판단된다.

이 연구는 최근 성형을 원해 우리나라로 들어오는 외국인 환자들을 응대하는 서울 소재 성형외과를 중심으로 의료관광 활성화를 위한 모바일 헬스케어 애플리케이션 활용의 필요성 인식과 향후 기대효과를 알아보기 위해서 성형외과 직원들을 대상으로 연구하였다. 데이터 분석을 위해 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 개인특성 및 의료기관 특성에 따라 모바일 헬스케어 애플리케이션 활용의 향후 기대효과를 분석함으로써 의료관광 활성화에 도움이 될 방안을 모색하였다. 그 결과 응답자의 미래 모바일 사용 의지가 높을수록, 소속된 의료기관의 외국인 환자 숫자가 많을수록 모바일 헬스케어 애플리케이션의 활용 기대가 유의한 정(+)의 관계인 것으로 추정되었다. 또한, 모바일 헬스케어 애플리케이션의 필요성을 높게 평가할수록 앞으로 의료관광 활성화에 도움이 될 것이라는 응답이 많았으며, 미래 기대 전망에 대한 긍정적 인식도 높았다. 이 연구가 의료관광 활성화를 위해 의료종사자들의 수요분석과 서비스 활용에 관하여 모바일 서비스 앱의 지속적 추진과 확대를 위한 IT 기반이 마련되길 기대해 본다.

Gangwon province has been chosen as a health tourism site by one of the nation level projects from 2008. This study surveyed local governments in the province in 2009, in order to develop suitable approaches to health tourism for the province. From the result, all respondents supported the health tourism in their city. Furthermore, an appropriate type of health tourism for the province identified as health promotion whereby the natural environment rather than advanced medical care. To respond to this, cooperation between local governments and hospitals is important, thus Gangwon province should seek the strategies for this.

This study investigated the differences in patient experience by arrangement type of medical tourism facilitators(MTF) from the pre-visit to visit stages. Specifically, patient experiences from each stage with different service providers (MTFs and medical institutions) were measured: provision of information and respect for patient preferences as pre-visit experiences with the facilitators, communication and concierge services as visit experiences with the facilitators, and medical services as medical institution experiences. The scale to measure foreign patients' experiences was modified from the 'Picker in-patient questionnaire(PPE)' and the 'Picker patient experience questionnaire(PPE-15)'. Quantitative data were collected by conducting a self-administered questionnaire on 173 patients from China, Russia, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. Qualitative data were collected by conducting in-depth interviews with 9 patients and 9 service providers. The data were collected between January and October in 2019. Quantitative data was analyzed by SPSS 25 for Chi-squared test and ANOVA, and qualitative data were analyzed based on keywords. The main results are as follows. When foreign patients used only overseas MTFs, they had a relatively positive patient experience in respect of receiving pre-visit information(F=7.47, p<.01) and respect for patient preferences(F=3.11, p<.05). Looking at both domestic and overseas facilitators during the visit, the patient experience was relatively negative for communication(F=3.75, p<.05). Regarding medical institutions, patients had a relatively negative patient experience with regards to medical services when they used both domestic and overseas facilitators(F=6.49, p<.01). The implications of this study are as follows. Patients should have a seamless and high-quality experience regardless of the facilitator arrangement type. This can be prepared through service standardization for the service providers. It would be also necessary to consider each other's features and problems at the institutional level and to improve service coordination by having service providers periodically communicate with each other.

본 연구는 의료관광선택속성의 중요도 및 성취도 분석을 통해 마케터들이 의료관광객들의 만족도를 높이기 위한 전략적인 수립에 유용한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였고 의료관광활성화를 위한 관광정책의 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이에 방한일본인 의료관광객을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 대응표본 T-test를 실시하였다. 또한 요인분석을 통하여 편의성, 서비스품질, 차별성, 접근성의 4가지 요인을 도출하였으며 IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis)기법을 이용하여 집중(I사분면), 유지(II사분면), 저순위(III사분면), 과잉(IV사분면)의 항목들을 도출하였다. 의료관광선택속성에 대한 IP분석결과 가장 집중해야할 노력 집중영역에는 예약수속신속성, 정보시스템의 용이 등으로 나타났다. 이는 중요도는 높은데 성취도가 낮은 항목으로 의료관광객을 대상으로 개선되어야 할 요인 중 가장 우선순위가 되어야 할 부문으로 집중적인 관리 및 운영이 필요함을 시사한다. 따라서 예약과 수속절차에 있어서 일본어가 가능한 직원의 배치가 필요함을 나타내며 직원교육 시 병원에서 필요한 기본 일본어 교육 등을 통해 이러한 점을 집중적으로 보완해야 할 필요가 있음을 알 수 있다. 병원웹사이트를 운영함에 있어서도 수요자들이 원하는 정보를 다양한 방법으로 접근 가능하게 하고 일본인 의료관광객들에 대한 온라인 상담 또한 신속하고 원만하게 이루어질 수 있도록 다양한 방안이 모색되어져야한다.

This study attempted to develop the directions for developing customized health tourism programs of Gangwon province. The data was collected by telephone surveys for 500 citizens in a metropolitan and regional cities in Korea in 2009. In conclusion, the province has many advantages to develop health tourism industries because the image of Gangwon health tour was represented to be generally positive and more than 65% of respondents were interested in participating health tourism of the province. The respondents also considered that the purpose of the tour is for relaxation rather than medical treatments. However, it requires flexible seasonal employment, scientific investigations of the natural environmental treatments and connectionwithleisureactivities, also need to collaborated with health and hospital services.

The number of patients from Middle Eastern Arabic countries is steadily increasing in respect to the South Korean government's medical tourism strategies. Word of mouth is one of the main determinants concerning the Middle Eastern Arab patients' medical tourism destination. Further, patients' satisfaction affects repurchase and revisit intention. This study aimed to measure the level of Middle Eastern Arab patients' satisfaction, and to measure the effect of different medical factors on satisfaction in such patients who are seeking medical attention in South Korea. A 110 Middle Eastern Arab patients who visited South Korea for medical purposes participated in our survey between November, 2016 and April, 2017. All factors had a high mean (${\geq}4.24$; ${\geq}84.8/100$) except for one factor (hospital halal meals (3.82; 76.4)). To identify factors influencing participants' overall satisfaction we used multiple regression analysis. Physicians, interpreters, and halal meals were the main factors influencing overall Middle Eastern Arab patients' satisfaction. Physicians and interpreters in Korea are recommended to be oriented to basic Islamic beliefs and Middle Eastern Arab patients' behavior. Daily communication, such as speaking directly to the patient, limiting important issues to two or three at a time, and translating sentence by sentence, could help to improve Middle Eastern Arab patients' satisfaction. Enlisting Middle Eastern nutrition specialists in medical institutions in South Korea may substantially improve non-medical services satisfaction such as halal food and dietary restrictions.
