This study examines determinants of user immersion for Korean drama and entertainment genre programs among Chinese students in Korea. The major results are as follows: firstly, user immersion for entertainment genre was more greater than that of drama genre. Although drama was tended to evaluated based on star appearance and narrative structure, entertainment program was favored by its pleasure and vividness. Secondly, there were gender differences for entertainment and drama genre programs between male and female respondents. Also, there was a correlation between drama immersion and duration of stay. Thirdly, although determinants of drama immersion were program characteristics, duration of stay and drama preference, those of entertainment immersion were program characteristics, appearance of star players and entertainment preference.

This study employs model of susceptibility to imported media to examine Korean drama exposure, evaluation and viewing intention among viewers living in foreign cultural background. Analyzing data collected from 176 female viewers in the U.S., it founds knowledge about Korea and general drama exposure give direct effect on the future viewing intention. Korean drama exposure directly affects drama evaluation and viewing intention. Korean network, however, has no significant effect on the dependent variables. Result of the present study shows that cultural capital of foreign viewers has effects on Korean drama consumption. Another result that behavior of general drama consumption has contributed to Korean drama consumption gives meaningful implication for the policy of Korean television export.

Problems and improvemental measures for the historical inquiry of TV drama costumes and for the reproduction of them were investigated. For this study, the MBC historical drama 'The way of the Great King' started on march 24 in 1998 and ended on september 26 in 1998 was selected as the subject. The reasons why the drama was selected are as follows. First, the historical background was the time of King Young ＆ drama introduced various kinds of costumes Joungjo, which is the starting era of traditional costumes peculiar to Korea. Second, the based on the historical inquiry of that time. There is a limitation in the process of historical inquiry about the costumes of that time because we don't have enough research data such as relics, remains, references, literary works, pictures, etc. Although, in some cases, exact historical inquiry about the costumes were made, they could not be reproduced in the original forms due to several reasons: the absence of the materials of that time, structural changes including length and size for convenience of action, alterations of the manufacturing method for the reuse, addition of the gorgeous and various olors for the enhancement of image quality, variations in colors according to the actor's character, modulations of the structures and colors by the producer's intention, and the restraints in time and money for manufacturing. In view of these situations, it seems to be difficult for us to settle the problems occurring between the historical inquiry about the traditional costumes and the reproduction of them in drama. However, the costumes presented in historical drama have the meanings to provide informations of that time with TV audience. Therefore I think that it is necessary to narrow the gap between the historical inquiry of TV drama costumes and for the reproduction of hem, First, It should be restrained that each broadcasting stations show the costumes under the similar situations of the same age in different ways. Second, We need to unify the inquiry systems concerning historical drama costumes, In addition to this, it is also necessary for broadcasting stations to establish internet sites of traditional costumes for communication.

The purpose of this study was to review the effectiveness of drama program for the people with developmental disabilities in Korea by using method of meta-analysis. At first, master's theses, doctoral dissertations, and journal articles published in Korea up to January, 2022 were reviewed. Resultingly a total of 13 studies were eligible base upon the inclusion criteria. The mean effect sizes and test for homogeneity of effect size (Q-statistic) were analyzed by using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Software 2.0. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, the average effect sizes for drama program for people with developmental disabilities were ES= 0.8335 for sociality, ES= 0.6512 of self-expression. Second, by analysing the moderate variables of the effect size for drama program for people with developmental disabilities, 'age', 'the number of session' 'the type of drama program', 'the major of drama director' were statistically significant. The research and practice implications of drama programs for people with developmental disabilities in Korea were suggested.

Korean dramas since the 2000s are continuously experimenting with new narrative possibilities. Especially in the recent Korean drama, various modes of hybridization, mixing, and transformation are attempted. Therefore, this study aims to examine the consensus of literature and drama through popular drama in 2010. This study examines how literary texts are utilized in dramas through the use of Kim Eun-sook's lonely and glorious god-goblin and gentleman's dignity, and how these narrative and visual effects are gained. These two dramas are not only popular drama in Korea but also have important implications for interpreting literature and drama consciousness because they actively utilize literary texts in drama. This is the process of interpreting the main scene in which literature and the drama conspire, and grasping its significance. Through this study, we analyze the process of borrowing the part of the text of the text, drama, and taking the effect of storytelling by using 'book' as its materiality. This will confirm the way in which various genres are mixed and juxtaposed in one video text and its effects.

TV drama is the entertainment content which is the very popular and profitable program than any other TV program genre. Although recently some broadcasting companies have been tried to set up the drama production system, they don't have the formal system yet. This study analyses the practices and mechanisms of the drama producing process by doing the dept-interview with the experts in the drama production field. The Korean drama production system is 'the producer-director system' and the strategies for the windowing effects are not applied systematically from the pre-production step. For the broadcasting companies to have the competitiveness through drama, the expert-producer system should be applied, the production elements should be controled systematically, and the multi-use strategies should be established.

The purpose of this study was to develop creative drama group program for children with mental retardation. To develop this program, the study begins with and in depth examination of the prior creative drama models, techniques and constructivism theory. The style of this creative drama program for children with mental retardation is a 24 session structured program, a small group program. The techniques of this creative drama program are a orientation, warming-up, main performance, feedback and sharing. Major findings were as follows. 4 mentally with mental retardation in creative drama group program showed a significant increased social competence. Also, children with mental retardation children showed the positive social skill change through the creative drama group program. Based on these findings, implications for creative drama group program for children with mental retardation were suggested.

This study investigated the effects of rehearsed English drama activities on the learner variables and oral communication achievements of Korean elementary school students. Forty children in the treatment group participated in the drama activities while forty-two children in the contrast group participated in the regular classes. The results of the study are as follows: the treatment group showed significant differences between the pre-tests and the post-tests in language learning strategies, motivation, confidence, perceived competence, willingness to communicate, and listening and speaking achievements; the students in the treatment group progressed in their attitudes toward and participation in the classroom activities. Based on the findings, it is concluded that the rehearsed drama activities positively affect the learner variables and oral communication. The pedagogical implications are discussed in the conclusion.

This study investigated how Korean drama viewing of chinese people influence their formation of Korea's national image as well as their satisfaction through consumption of Korean products. The direct effect and indirect effect of Korean drama viewing on Korea's national image were focused. The survey data on 105 Chinese citizens in Shanghai was put into the analysis. The study found that 1) Korean drama viewing has a positive effect on consumption satisfaction of korean products; 2) Korean drama viewing does not have any direct effect on Korea's national image; 3) the consumption satisfaction of korean products has an positive effect on Korea's national image; 4) Korean drama viewing has an indirect positive effect on Korea's national image, mediated by consumption satisfaction of Korean products. Theoretical and practical implication were discussed.

Korean web drama are undergoing changes before and after the popularization of the OTT platform. The previous web drama were mainly aimed at teenagers, with school content as a genre feature, and the active casting of new idols and the use of B-grade emotions as production characteristics. After the popularization of OTT represented by YouTube and Netflix, there are signs of significant change. This study examined the hyperrealistic content characteristics of the web drama , which can be the center of the change. Through this, it was considered that has a greatly changed aspect from previous web dramas through stereoscopic typification, emphasis on detailed expression, active use of experiential narrative characteristics, and a new media creator-centered production method.
