지식관리 아키텍처의 현황과 방향 (The Current Status and Direction in Knowledge Management Architecture)

  • 기관이나 회사에서 도입하는 지식관리 시스템에서 효율적인 지식의 저장, 탐색 및 검색에 관련되는 지식관리 아키텍처에 관해 알아보았다. 먼저 기존에 발표된 문헌을 중심으로 지식관리 아키텍처의 개념을 살펴보았으며, 지금까지 발표된 관련된 이론을 정리해보고, 실제 사례에서 지식관리 아키텍처를 어떻게 운용하는지 살펴보았다. 이로써 실제 지식관리 아키텍처가 어떻게 활용되고, 어떤 특성을 가지고, 어떤 부분에 주력이 되어 있는지 알아봄으로써, 이를 바탕으로 가장 바람직하고 효율적인 발전방향을 제시해보고자 하였다.

  • As a knowledge-based economy is emerging, knowledge management (KM) is being rapidly disseminated in both academic circles and the business world. Accordingly, how to effectively manage knowledge is vital to the survival and advance of a company, particularly in project-based industries such as construction. For these reasons, construction companies have adopted IT-based Knowledge management systems (KMS), which is the technology platform and infrastructure that an organization employs to support knowledge management. However, many construction companies have spent resources on developing a KMS that only focus on codification. Furthermore, small and medium-sized companies have limited resources to afford extensive investments. This research addresses the problems found in the current KMS and develops a web-based construction knowledge management portal (CKMP). To achieve these objectives, a case study is conducted and requirements for implementing KM are identified. Based on the identified requirements, this paper builds CKMP using Expert Index (EI), blog, ontology based knowledge retrieval, and wikiblog. The most important functionality of CKMP is their fundamentals to synchronize and support KM process. In order to validate the CKMP, a pilot test with actual users is conducted, and the usability of the system is compared with the current systems. This study is relevant to both the construction industry and academia, as it provides a means of enhancing the performance of KM.

  • 오늘날 지식관리시스템은 효과적으로 지식 프로세스를 지원하고. 다양한 비정형의 지식들을 처리하기 위한 다양한 시도들을 하고 있다. 그러나 지식 검색, 정보 추출, 관리 등에서 근본적인 약점을 갖고 있으며, 다양한 지식 자원들을 통합하고 연동하는데 어려움을 갖고 있다. 이런 한계들을 극복하고 지식관리 방식을 개선하기 위한 다양한 연구들이 시도되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최근 주목받고 있는 시맨틱 웹 기술을 적용함으로써 지식관리시스템들이 직면한 한계들을 극복할 수 있는지, 그리고 어떤 장점과 기회들을 얻을 수 있는지 고찰하였다. 그리고 기존 지식관리시스템 아키텍처와 비교하여 변경되는 부분들을 살폈으며. 새로운 시맨틱 지식관리시스템 아키텍처와 향후 전망, 그리고 나아갈 바를 제시하고자 하였다.

Ontology를 활용한 무기체계 품질경영 연구 (Quality Management Study of Weapon System using Ontology)

  • Purpose: This study is addressing the establishment of the knowledge information system supplying the quality management of weapon system. It is going to support the continuous quality management through the linkages and integration between the product structure and the quality information. Methods: The interrelated relationship of the product structure information and quality information of weapon system would be expressed explicitly by taking advantage of the ontology concept. The quality information of distributed systems would be integrated through the SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)-based Web services. After defining the inference rules, which could be utilized in the quality management, in the constructed knowledge information system, the quality information would be inferred through the queries. Results: By building the integrated quality information knowledge system through the ontology and SOA, the connectivity between the product structures and dispersed quality information was enhanced. The utility and applicability of this study were checked up through the inferences on the products and quality information by using the information built by the semantic relationship of facts. Conclusion: We established the knowledge and information system as a systematic approach to support the quality management of weapon system. This is not affected by the organizations and systems, and it seems that it could be utilized across the quality management as the efficient knowledge sharing architecture supporting the quality management of weapon systems in the aspect of the product integration.

  • Intranet is information technology for information sharing and collaborative work in geographically dispersed organizations, and has clear potentials to combine with other information technologies such as data warehousing and knowledge management. Data warehousing make it possible that the data stored for business analysis can most effectively be accessed by separating it from the data in the operational systems, and knowledge management is the paradigm to make the enterprise realize the best value of its knowledge assets, This paper is to suggest an architecture of knowledge sharing to combine knowledge management with data warehouse under the Intranet environment for the purpose of achieving the competitive advantages through the effective decision making in the modern companies, This paper also addresses the steps to implement this architecture.

  • As development of information technology, companies stress the need of knowledge management. Companies construct ERP system including knowledge management. But, it is not easy to formalize knowledge in organization. They experience that constructing information system help knowledge management. Now, we focus on engineering knowledge. Because engineering data contains experts' experience and know-how in its own, engineering knowledge is a treasure house of knowledge. Korean shipyards are leader of world shipbuilding industry. They have accumulated a store of knowledge and data. But, they don't have data mining tool to utilize accumulated data. This paper treats development of data mining tools for the utilization of shipbuilding knowledge based on genetic programming(GP).

  • In construction industry, while requiring advanced knowledge of technicians through a long experience, there is a problem with the tacit knowledge is not carried on the inner organization. Recent technological developments allow sharing and application of the tacit knowledge while technology tools use the CoP(Community of Practice) that mainly interacts between people. Clearly, the most consideration in stimulating CoP is the circulation of knowledge, namely the willingness to share and use knowledge with others. It is then important to explain why individuals factors to share and use knowledge with others when they have a choice. In this paper, we would like to report to find out about factors whether people are actually sharing and using the knowledge obtained in CoP. The results help to analyze which factors are influenced to be a successful CoP in construction industry. The implications for theory and future research direction are discussed.

  • As the age of information technology is coming, companies stress the need of knowledge management. Companies construct ERP system including knowledge management. But, it is not easy to formalize knowledge in organization. we focused on data mining system by using genetic programming. But, we don't have enough data to perform the learning process of genetic programming. We have to reduce input parameter(s) or increase number of learning or training data. In order to do this, the enhanced data mining system by using GP combined with SOM(Self organizing map) is adopted in this paper. We can reduce the number of learning data by adopting SOM.

  • 전 세계적으로 지식경영의 중요성이 확산되는 가운데, 지식관리는 단순히 저장 및 취합하는 방식에서 벗어나 업무프로세스관리(BPM: Business Process Management)와 지식관리(KM: Knowledge Management)를 상호 연계한 지식기반 업무처리(PKMS: Process based KMS) 연구로 확대되고 있다. 특히, 업무 수행 시 다양한 지식을 사용하는 공공기관은 업무에 효과적인 지식관리 필요성이 커지고 있다. 본 논문은 공공기관 업무에 효과적인 지식관리체계를 수립하여 업무프로세스관리시스템(BPMS)와 지식관리시스템(KMS)을 통합한 지식기반 업무처리(PKMS) 시스템을 설계하였다. 이러한 설계를 위하여, 본 연구는 공공업무와 다양한 지식 유형간 상관관계를 조사하고 지식유형을 세 가지 지식그룹으로 분류하여 업무프로세스를 기반으로 한 지식그룹 간 우선순위를 고려한 지식관리체계를 시스템화하였다. 이와 같은 지식관리체계를 기반한 PKMS시스템은 BPM 생명주기와 KM 생명주기의 통합을 통하여 두 가지 패러다임의 장점을 승계하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 PKMS 개념을 고용보험 업무에 적용한 사례를 소개한다. 고용보험 PKMS시스템은 단위업무별로 찾아가는 지식관리 환경을 제공함으로써 업무생산성을 극대화한다. 현재 많은 공공기관에서 지식관리시스템을 도입하거나 업무시스템과 연계하는 현 시점에서, 본 연구사례는 BPMS와 KMS의 통합에 관심 있는 기관에게 사례를 바탕으로 한 시사점을 제공하였다.

  • The rapid development of Kuala Lumpur has seen numerous new and high-rise buildings introducing Building Automation System (BAS). Whilst effective application of Knowledge Management (KM) within BAS is the pre-requisite for the achievement of optimum BAS performance, there has been little research undertaken to investigate if have been the case. This paper presents a research undertaken to get a view of how KM applies in BAS in six (6) selected case-study buildings in Kuala Lumpur, all operating with the 'one-system' M&E workstation control BAS. The emergent findings positively suggest that adequate KM approaches were employed within their BAS management processes, but further studies would be necessary to determine the extent of their application and effectiveness.
