A comprehensive program for children's leadership improvement by enhancing their self-esteem, empathy, communication competence and emotion regulation utilized core concepts and techniques or the Solution-Focused Model of Chung et al. (2005), Satir's Experiential Model(Chung, 2003), Cognitive-Behavioral Model (Kim, 2002) and problem-solving games (Chung & Kim, 2005). Twenty-six $3^{rd}$, $4^{th}$, and $5^{th}$ graders from public schools in Seoul participated in six 2.5 hour sessions and their mothers participated in two 2.5 hour sessions. All subjects received pre-, post- and follow-up tests. The results showed that children's self-esteem, empathy, communication competence, and emotion regulation increased as a result of this program and the effects lasted for at least three months after the termination of the program.

A 67-year-old man visited our plastic surgery clinic complaining of a palpable protruding mass (2.0×2.5 cm) in the right occipital region. To establish an appropriate treatment plan for the cystic mass, brain magnetic resonance imaging was performed. A 2.2 cm nodular lesion with peripheral enhancement in the right occipital region of the scalp was confirmed. In addition, two rim-enhancing nodular lesions up to 9 mm with marked perilesional edema in the right frontal lobe were confirmed. The findings suggested metastasis from cancer. After further evaluations, a mass in the right lower lung field was identified as adenocarcinoma of the lung. Histological examination characterized the excised lesion as a cutaneous metastasis from lung adenocarcinoma. This case report shows that a cystic mass, which commonly occurs in the scalp, may indicate lung cancer. In particular, if a cystic mass of the scalp is identified in a person at high risk for lung cancer, appropriate evaluation and urgent treatment should be performed.

Properties of oxynitride films oxidized by $N_2O$ gas after thermal oxidation and $N_2O$ oxide films directly oxidized using $N_2O$ gas on the bare silicon wafer have been studied. Through the AES analysis, Nitrogen pile-up at the interface of Si/oxynitride and Si/$N_2O$ oxide has observed. Also, it could be presumed that there are differences in the mechanism of the growth of film by observing film growth. $N_2O$ oxide and oxynitride films have the self-limited characteristics. Therefore, it will be possible to obtain ultra-thin films. Nitrogen pile-up at the interfaces Si/oxynitride and Si/$N_2O$ oxide strengthens film structure and improves dielectric reliability. Although fixed charge densities and interface trap densities of $N_2O$ oxide and oxynitride films has somewhat higher than those of thermal $SiO_2,\;N_2O$ oxide and oxynitride films showed improved I-V characteristics and constant current stress.

Polyphenol oxidase (PPO) was purified from fresh ginseng roots using acetone precipitation, carboxymethyl (CM)-Sepharose chromatography, and phenyl-Sepharose chromatography. Two isoenzymes (PPO 1 and PPO 2) were separated using an ion-exchange column with CM-Sepharose. PPO 1 was purified up to 13.2-fold with a 22.6% yield. PPO 2 bound to CM-Sepharose, eluted with NaCl, and was purified up to 22.5-fold with a 17.4% yield. PPO 2 was further chromatographed on phenyl-Sepharose. The molecular weight of the purified PPO 2 from fresh ginseng was determined by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and was about 40 kDa. The optimum temperature and pH were $20^{\circ}C$ and 7.0, respectively, using catechol as a substrate. Pyrogallol showed the highest substrate specificity. The effect of a PPO inhibitor showed that its activity increased slightly in the presence of a low concentration of citric acid. High concentrations of acidic compounds and sulfite agents significantly inhibited purified ginseng PPO 2.

When actual IPMSM is driving, it is difficult to figure out the correct current during the current control period due to the operation speed limit of digital signal processing. Therefore, in order to control IPMSM for electric vehicle efficiently, we should design 2D Look-up Table to find out optimal current reference corresponding to speed and torque of IPMSM. This paper explains the design method of 2D Look-up Table for optimal current control of constant torque area and constant output area of IPMSM for electric vehicle. Finally, experimental results are presented to verify the reliability of 2D Look-up Table.

In this paper we consider the asymptotic mean squared error of positive part James-Stein estimators. In the normal-normal example, estimators of the mean squared error of these estimators are provided which are correct asymptotically up to O($m^{-l}$). Asymptotic estimators of the MSE's which correct up to O($m^{-l}$) are also provide. Here, m denotes the number of strata. A simulation study is undertaken to evaluate the performance of these estimators.

Eu-doped lead zirconium titanate $Pb_{1.1}(Zr_{0.3}Ti_{0.7})O_{3}$ thin films on the Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si substrates prepared by a metalorganic decomposition (MOD) method. The effect on the structural and electrical properties of the films measured according to Eu content. Eu-doping altered significantly the dielectric and ferroelectric properties. The remanent polarization and coercive field decreased with increasing the concentration of Eu content. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the film decreased with increasing Eu contents. The 3 mol% of Eu-doped PZT thin film showed large remanent polarization and the fatigue characteristic of the film did not change up to $10^9$ switching cycles.

Excessive spending and the ever-changing fashion trends lead to an increase in material production to meet consumers' needs, which also in turn, increase the amount of industrial waste and many harmful pollutants. To address this problem, this study aimed to utilize discarded jeans' parts, reconstructing them into edgy and functional designs for everyday products. Six pairs of discarded jeans were collected and were used to create six types of functional products -three types of baskets, a bag, a slipper, and a key-holder. The benefits of up-cycling outweigh recycling because it not only increases the recycling rate, but also decreases the amount of energy and cost, thereby increasing the efficiency in recreating new innovative products. These proposed up-cycling ideas will serve as a great alternative for consumers to actively participate in reducing carbon emission, water usage, and waste to landfill by utilizing used clothing. This will guide how consumers can extend the life of their used clothing, utilize recyclable items more thoroughly, and keep used clothing out of landfills.
