Feed Intake, Nutrient Utilization and Growth Rate of Jamunapari Goats Fed Sundried Leucaena leucocephala

  • In a feeding trial, Jamunapari male kids (18) of about 4 months age were equally divided into two groups of nine animals each. Goats in the experimental group were fed sun-dried pelleted Leucaena leucocephala leaves and those in the control group were offered a conventional diet without Leucaena leaves as per Kearl (1982) recommendations for a period of 6 months. Daily dry matter intake DMI/100 kg BW was $3.13{\pm}0.04kg$ in the Leucaena group and $3.30{\pm}0.05kg$ in the control. There were significant (p < 0.01) differences in the apparent digestibilities of DM, OM, CP, EE, CF and NFE being lower in the Leucaena group. Contents of digestible crude protein (DCP) and total digestible nutrients (TDN) were 11.40 and 52.20%, respectively, in the Leucaena group and 14.04 and 66.10%, respectively in the control. The nitrogen in the Leucaena group was not well utilized as compared to the control, though kids were in positive nitrogen balance in both the groups. The average daily weight gain of kids on pelleted Leucaena was $29.95{\pm}2.60g$ as against $42.09{\pm}3.24g$ observed in the control. The mean DMI/kg LW gain was significantly (p < 0.01) higher in the Leucaena group ($14.70{\pm}0.78kg$) as compared to the control ($11.55{\pm}0.46kg$). The Hb, BUN, SGOT and SGPT concentrations were statistically similar in both the groups. Histopathological examination of thyroid gland of goats sacrificed at the end of experiment did not reveal any signs of colloidal goitre associated with mimosine toxicity. No significant pathological alterations were observed in vital organs irrespective of dietary treatment. Sundried, pelleted Leucaena foliage appears to be a promising potential feed for growing goats without any significant deleterious effect.

  • Specially, the character in the kids animation is the fundamental visual element, and also has the high value which is to connect to various related businesses. The main purpose of this study is the analysis for character's appearance by the basic plane figure, and it has studied on the authority of recognition capability which is to catch the simple shape rapidly and clearly rather than complex shape. For this study, I established the standard of analysis and then applied that to the characters which were selected in broadcasting domestic kids animation on EBS. Through this procedure, I analyzed character's appearance with the distribution chart. As the result, the circular and oval shapes are the most frequently used shapes for character's appearance. Finally, I expect the result of this study could be one of the design index for the character creation in practical environment.

Future of Performing Arts Specialized Animation Characters Theme Park (공연전문 애니메이션 캐릭터 테마파크의 미래)

  • I will analyze the current status and limit of domestic animation character theme parks as a new trend of Kids industry so that diagnose the future of performing arts specialized animation character theme parks through the examples of foreign ones such as , , , and . Revisiting ratio is the most important factor for the domestic animation character theme parks which are being built in downtown. Close interaction with visitors will be possible through great quality character shows. Top quality shows could make this possible so that visitors could be more familiar with the park and the revisiting ratio must be raised as well as the difference between the theme park and others would be emphasized.

Educational Applications for Kids in Google Play (구글 플레이스토어 키즈용 교육앱의 실태 조사)

  • 본 연구에서는 구글 플레이의 키즈용 교육앱의 현황을 조사하였다. 모바일앱의 활용 시작 연령이라고 판단되는 키즈용 교육앱을 대상으로 사용자수, 평점, 사용연령을 조사하였다. 또한 사용연령에 따라 사용자수나 평점의 차이점이 있는지, 사용자수와 평점의 상관관계가 있는지 등 비교연구도 실시하였다. 조사 결과 전연령을 사용대상으로 한 앱의 만족도가 가장 높았으며 가장 높은 사용연령인 12세 사용대상의 앱의 만족도가 가장 낮았다. 사용연령별 사용자수의 차이는 통계적으로 의미가 없었으며 사용연령별 평점의 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 사용자수와 평점간에는 상관관계가 입증되지 않았다.

Analysis of Dietary Informations in Newspapers and Magazine for Children (2002) (어린이신문 및 잡지에 게재된 식생활 관련 정보 현황조사(2002년))

  • Children regard newspapers and magazines as the important source of information. Because informations about diet in the newspaper and magazines are regarded as good, it is necessary to find out whether informations provided to children are correct. Thus, this study shows the present situation of informations on diet by monitoring 3 newspapers (Kids. Chosun, Kids. Donga, Kids. Hankook) and 2 magazines (Earinee - Dongsan, Sae-But) for children. This study focused on the quantitative and the qualitative analysis for articles and advertisements. For the quantity, rate and number were calculated. For the quality, the accuracy was analyzed. Result of this study were as follow; Analyzed the number of articles and advertisements on diet, there are 2 times more number of advertisements (339 cases) than that of articles (180 cases) in the newspaper. There are slightly more number of advertisements (24 cases) than that of articles (18 cases) in the magazine. Most of advertisements are about processed foods and children' favorite foods. Especially, the advertisement of processed foods are ranked first by the quantity with 245 cases (75%) in the newspaper. In the magazine, 10 cases (42%) are about processed foods. About source of advertisements on diet informations in the newspaper, there are 300 cases (86.7%) without evidence based data and 34 cases (9.8%) of interview with entertainers, from the total 346 cases. In the magazine, there are high rate of cases without evidence based data and interview with entertainers. For the evaluation of the information about diet in the newspaper, there are 148 cases (19.7%) with no clear guidance and position, some cases with advertisements for specific products and etc. Discordance between subjects and contents, and emphasis of specified field or some parts are found from the total 750 cases. About the accuracy of contents, from the total 180 cases in the newspaper, 99 cases (55%) are inappropriate and 19 cases (10.6%) are appropriate. In magazines from the total 18 cases, 7 cases (38.9%) are inappropriate and 11 cases (61.1 %) are appropriate. With these results, we can conclude that informations about diet in newspapers and magazine for children needs improvement. Therefore, for newspapers and magazines contents should be reported scienifically by inspecting contents and by taking professional advice, in order to spread the accurate information about diet. The Relationship between Attachment to Parents and Adaptation to School Life of Children (아동의 부모에 대한 애착과 학교생활적응과의 관계)

  • Social area of children moves to school from family. Attachment to parents of children influences Adaptation of new environment. Development and adaptation of whole life are based on attachment that was formed the early days period of life. This study aims at finding out how are the factors like Relationship between Attachment to parents and Adaptation to school life of children. The targets of the study are 260 kids of the 1st grade and the 2nd grade that are collected at primary school of K city in Jeonlabuk-Do. As for measurement tool that was used for this study, it used the questionnaire for parents Attachment which OK Jeong(1997) adopted from IPPA-R that was manufactured by Armsden & Greenberg(1987), and the questionnaire on adaptation to the school life made by Byung soo, Min(1991), and it found means(M), standard deviation(SD) as for the collected data, and it practiced three way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and Multiple regression. The result of this study was as follows. First, the girls were more attached to father than Boys. According to the contents, alienation to father of boys is higher than that of girls. Also, grade of children and employment or unemployment of mothers factors mutuality effect had significant differences in the area of alienation. Second, the children's attachment to mother that the Kids perceived in total has significant differences statistically according to gender of children and employment or unemployment of mothers factors mutuality effect. Boys of unemployment of mothers and girls of employment of mothers are more attached to mother. Third, the children's attachment to parents showed significant positive correlation in the area of the adaptation to school life. The dimension of communicate, by fathers were shown to affect largely to the adaptation to school life of the kids and among the sub-areas of attachment to fathers, the dimension of confidence by parents were shown to affect largely to the adaptation to school life of the kids. As we saw the study result above, we could confirm that children's attachment to parents had significant relations with the adaptation to school life of the kid, and furthermore, those were affecting importantly to the adaptation to school life the kid. So, we could know that it is important for parents and children to attach mighty so that can be increased adaptation to school life of the kids.

  • Stop-motion animation is highly valued for realistic imagery and its ability to captivate the five senses of the audience. Despite this, practical research in this area is limited to date. The long hours required to produce stop-motion animation and turn these into profits can be attributed for the lack of knowledge in this area. In production research, the matter is made worse as it is difficult to protect the intellectual property made through the collaborated efforts of students and teaching staff through each laborious stage of planning, broadcasting and making 2D models. Meanwhile as the animation industry finds the investigation of new production processes taxing, it has maintained its focus on pre-existing processes such as the use of pipeline. This paper aims to shed light on new production methods that can be used to improve the effectiveness of existing stop-motion production. In addition, by working with Taktoon Enterprises on its T.V series Galaxy Kids the paper will revise real world production methods including the traditional use of hand made models. Thus by investigating the use of graphic technology such as 3D printing the paper will be able to extend current business models. Research conducted in this paper is a necessary part of overcoming various contents production obstacles. Furthermore, it may help publicize issues faced in production leading to the discussion and sharing of new innovations.

  • 최근 개봉하는 영화들을 살펴보면 2D Animation이었던 작품들이 3D Animation으로 제작되고 있다. 먼저 1981년 미국 NBC에서 방영된 후 2011년과 2013년에 실사합성 Animation으로 개봉된 'The Smurf'가 있고, 1999년 'Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards'에서 처음 방영되어 2015년 2월에 실사합성 Animation으로 극장에 개봉한 'The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water'이 있다. 과거 만화책과 TV에서 방영되어 아주 큰 호응을 받은 작품들을 기억하는 관객들에게는 3D Animation에서 만들어지는 3D의 공간감과 입체감이 보는 관객들로 하여금 이질감을 느낄 수 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 이질감을 프로이트의 논문 '두려운 낯설음'에서 이야기한 Uncanny현상에 대입한다. 2D Animation이 원작인 작품을 3D Animation으로 만드는 데는 적지 않은 어려움이 있고 각 작품들만의 특징이 있기 때문에, 본 연구를 통해서 2D Animation을 원작으로 하는 3D Animation작품에서 감상하는 관객들로 하여금 이질감을 느끼는 Uncanny현상이 작품에 미치는 영향 대한 연구 결과를 도출하고자 한다.

A Study on Space Representation of Kid Theme Park using Green Contents (그린콘텐츠를 적용한 키즈 테마파크 공간연출에 관한 연구)

  • As environmental pollution and resource exhaustion have been considered as social issues, interest in green content industries which lead low-carbon green growth is increasing. In various areas, green content products and programs have been presented. Of them, kid theme parks are designed to recognize fun and advantages eco-friendly consumption with green contents has and lead children to recognize the problems of environmental pollution and the importance of environment. This study aims to analyse kid theme parks using green contents and characteristics of their space representation. The analysis frame was made through theoretical examination for bibliographical data and a direct interview in terms of factors of green contents. For the analysis frame, visitors were directly interviewed from June to July, 2012. Cases of introduction were analysed to identify realization and characteristics of green contents. As a result of the analysis, it was discovered that kid theme parks using green contents pursued green stories, but they did not consider environment seriously in terms of content materials and methods of realization. To develop successful kid theme parks using green contents, multi-dimensional research is needed in various aspects and various contents such as media should be introduced. The parks should provide fun space for children and propagate green ideas. Its success can lead in green entertainment. The study will be helpful for design of future kid theme parks.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the story-retelling structure of tablet PC-based applications that designed to help infants to create stories. Owing to the popularization and the usability of smart devices, infants have become from content consumers to creators who reconstruct stories in creative ways, based on the stories they heard. In those participatory process, infants experience enjoying stories independently and expanding the meaning of texts. Story-retelling is an adequate methodology that cultivates creativity, expressiveness, and literacy ability to infant. Consequently, this study investigates three types of story-retelling in , , and , and searches structure elements and methods of story-retelling in integrated approach. In conclusion, the story-retelling applications that provide 'creative gap' have educational value, because they allow infants to demonstrate imagination by filling in the gap and to realize the rule of stories.
