  • Methods for identification of modal properties of linear structures are presented. The extended Kalman filtering technique is empolyed. The state equation is formulated by two different ways, namely by the time domain and frequency domain approaches. Verifications are carried out by using simulated records of ground acceleration and structural response. Then the techniques are applied to the estimation of modal parameters of a scaled model for a 3-story building which is installed on a shaking table.

  • This paper's purpose i to obtain tracking information of an object using a camera. This system embodies to know tracking information of an object using Kalman filtering. As we use java program, it is possible to make system regardless of operating system, set up the system. We used an comfortable USB port camera everywhere without the capture board. We can use the internet by using the applet and JMF everywhere. We regard the camera as fixed.

  • Initial alignment of gimballed INS is accomplished by the gyrocompassing techniques. These cannot be used in the case of strapdown system where the inertial instruments are directly strapped down to a vehicle frame. The basic objective of this paper is the development of digital methods performing the initial alignment of a SDINS from vibration and sway currupted data on the launch pad.

  • The occurrence of cycle slips is a major limiting factor to attain high precision positioning and navigation results with GPS. Cycle slips must be correctly repaired at the data processing stage. In this study, the technique to find cycle slips in the processing of data collected with Trimble 4700 GPS receivers is suggested. The use of Kalman filtering techniques is used in an attempt to reduce the effect of the noise in the different quantities involved and to improve the accuracy in cycle slip correction.

  • The primary purpose of port filming is to verify the treatment volume under treatment. Although the image quality with the megavoltage x-ray beam is poorer than with the diagnostic or the simulator film. This paper proposes an edge-adaptive Kalman filter for the image enhancement of port films. Suggested filtering procedure preserves edge information and eliminates edge noise and inside and outside treatment area preserving treatment boundary.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 단일입출력 환경에서의 칼만필터 기반 반향제거방법을 다중입출력 구조로 확장하는 방법을 제안한다. 다중입출력 구조의 반향제거방법은 단일입출력방식보다 우수한 반향제거 성능을 보이면서도 더욱 낮은 음성왜곡도를 보였다.

  • Localization is the key role in controlling the Mobile Robot. In this papers, a development of the sensor fusion algorithm for controling UTV(Unmanned Tracked Vehicle) is presented. The multi-sensocial dead-rocking subsystem is established based on the optimal filtering by first fusing heading angle reading from a magnetic compass, a rate-gyro and two encoders mouned on the robot wheels, thereby computing the deat-reckoned location. These data and the position data provoded by LBL system are fused together by means of an extended Kalman filter. This algorithm is proved by simulation studies.

  • An efficient interacting multiple mode(IMM) approach for tracking a maneuvering target with kinematic constraints is described based on the square root information filter(SRIF). The SRIF is employed instead of the conventional Kalman filter since it exhibits more efficient features in handling the kinematic constraints and improved numerical characteristics. The kinematic constraints are considered in the filtering process as pseudomeasurements where the degree of uncertainty is represented by the magnitude of the pseudomeasurement noise variance. The Monte Carlo simulations for the constant speed, maneuvering target are provided to demonstrate the improved tracking performance of the proposed algorithm.

카오스 시계열에 대한 잡음영향 분석과 필터링 기법의 적용 (Analysis of Noise Influence on a Chaotic Series and Application of Filtering Techniques)

  • 본 연구에서는 비선형 카오스 계열에 대한 잡음의 영향 분석을 위하여 대표적인 비선형 카오스 특성을 보이는 것으로 알려진 Logistic Map 자료계열을 이용하여 연구를 수행하였다. 잡음을 임의로 추가하여 잡음 수준에 따라 자료계열을 재생성 하였으며 비선형 자료의 분석 방법으로 활용되고 있는 상태공간 재건, 상관차원 추정, BDS 통계, DVS 알고리즘 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 자료계열은 잡음의 수준이 높아짐에 따라 비선형 카오스적 특성을 보이는 원시자료의 특성이 사라지고 무작위한 추계학적 특성을 보이는 자료로 변화하였다. 그리고 잡음의 영향을 받고 있는 자료에 대한 잡음제거 방법으로 Low Pass Filter와 Kalman Filter 기법을 적용하였다. 전통적인 비모수 통계기법은 비선형 무작위 시계열 또는 비선형 시계열을 구분하는데 어려움이 있지만 비선형 통계기법인 BDS 통계는 비선형 시계열을 구분할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 분석을 수행한 결과 잡음 수준이 높을 경우 Low Pass Filter는 잡음을 효과적으로 제거하지 못하여 비선형 자료를 선형자료로 판정하였지만 Kalman Filter의 경우 잡음을 효과적으로 제거하는 것으로 나타나 적용성이 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we investigate the co-movements of the real GDP cycle and the telecommunications service expenditure cycle over 1980 through 2000 in Korea. We used several appropriate statistical tools to characterize and to compare the co-movements between the two aforementioned variables. The statistics presented in this paper are common, easy to Interpret and capture important visual, descriptive information and the dynamics of data that would be lost if one focused only on the unconditional correlation coefficients of de-trended data. This paper examines four possible characteristics for the co-movements of real GDP and telecommunications service expenditure in Korea. The first is that in low frequency, the cyclical movements in telecommunications service expenditure are very similar to the cyclical movements in real GDP, The second is that in the high frequency, the estimated stationary cyclical telecommunications service expenditure is not closely related to the estimated stationary cyclical real GDP. Third, according to co-spectra analysis, the strong relationships between the variables are found in the mid-term frequency and as such this empirical finding has important implications for telecommunications policy and telecommunications service implementation strategies. Finally, in the short-term period, our empirical results support telecommunications network theories such as path dependence properties, lock-in, positive feedback externality, and network externality.
