  • The stress concentration ratio in accordance with area replacement ratios were considered as core elements of design. However, the stress concentration ratio will be vary depends on progress of consolidation in clay ground. And, since it is not sure to know the affecting factors accurately, the value is decided based on field experiences. To use SCP method more effective and correspond to soil improvement, the decision on proper area replacement ratio through the exact stress concentration ratio is very important. Accordingly, a numerical analysis on influence of various factors that needed to make rational designing guide for decision of proper area replacement ratio to stress concentration ratio was executed in this study.

  • This paper deals with design and implementation of the controller for optically guided AGV. When AGV has only three photo sensors in front of body, AGV doesn't know how much the entry angle to guide line is. In this case, it is difficult to compensate the tracking error. To make sure that the AGV does not secede the guide line in tracking, PI controller and fuzzy logic controller is proposed. The proposed controller was verified and experienced through real AGV system.

  • Activation battery that are required to deliver short pulses to power, for instance, pyrotechnic devices required during jettison payload separation. Activation battery contains 24 Sony US18650 cells configured as 3 strings in parallel, with each string containing 8 series connected cells. This allows to meet voltage and capacity requirements specified for the mission. In this paper design description and specifications of Activation battery are presented. Qualification test flow and results are also shown to make sure the performance in the predicted space environment. Electrical performance was proven on real equipment load assembly.

  • The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of light intensity variation on the polymerization rate of composite resin using IB system(experimental equipment designed by Dr. IB Lee) by which real-time volumetric change of composite can be measured. Methods: Three commercial composites [Z100(Z1), AeliteFil(AF), SureFil(SF)] were photopolymerized with Variable Intensity Polymerizer unit (Bisco, U.S.A.) under the variable light intensity (75/150/225/300/375/450㎽$^2$) during 20sec.(omitted)

  • Recently, due to high rise building by rapid urbanization, the spaces incapable of being penetrated by sunlight into interior is increasing. So, sunlighting systems are important means to be able to get sunlight into indoors and to make sure of sunshine awareness. This study aims to evaluate lighting performance of sunlighting mirror systems. As results. these are very useful for the increase of an average illuminance of indoors and the penetration of sunlight. Especially, the second reflecting mirrors can be applied to spaces lack of sunlight. And these sunlighting systems developed in the present study is validated physical and psychological performance to both building and people.

  • Let {$X_k;k{\in}N^d$} be centered and identically distributed random field which is asymptotically negative dependent in a certain case. In this note we prove that for $p{\alpha}$ > 1 and ${\alpha}$ > ${\frac{1}{2}}$ $E{\mid}X_1{\mid}^p(log^+{\mid}X_1{\mid}^{d-1})$ < ${\infty}$ if and only if ${\sum}_n{\mid}n{\mid}^{p{\alpha}-2}P$($max_{1{\leq}k{\leq}n{\mid}S_k{\mid}}$ > ${\epsilon}{\mid}n{\mid}$) < ${\infty}$ for all ${\epsilon}$ > 0, where log$^+$x = max{1,log x}.

  • This paper present an effective modeling scheme of SPE cell system for hydrogen production. As oxygen and hydrogen produced by water electrolysis using SPE are high purity, we can use oxygen in biomedical and hydrogen could be used in many ways. Recently, it is under the eye as a surplus power storage system. PSCAD/EMTDC model of SPE cell system for hydrogen production to efficiently utilize solar cell energy is showed in this paper. The simulated results are then verified by comparing them with the actual values obtained from the data acquisition system. Authors are sure that it is a useful method to the researchers who study SPE cell system for hydrogen production.

  • A representation technique of a given track topology is required by many software applications in railway technology such as signalling system simulator. To achieve these, the concept of double vertex graph architecture is proposed. These are composed of pairs of vertices and node between the single vertices. Double vertex graph architecture can be understood as a extension of classical graphs. In developed railway signalling simulation software, it is shown that track topology can be represented by proposed algorithm in a efficient way. Especially it makes sure that these are suitable technique for representing and implementing of switch, routes which can be introduced some mistake in classical graph algorithm.

  • Forest fire can give a serious damage to overhead conductors. Therefore, the definite understanding about aging behavior of burned conductor is very important in maintaining the transmission line safely. It is sure that the temperature of conductor itself will be affected by the distance apart from flame. From this point of a view, we monitored the conductor's temperature with distance from flame. As a result, the conductor's temperature decreased as the flame goes away from the conductor gradually. The temperature of conductor was reached up to 55~65% level of its atmospheric temperature. The detailed results will be presented in the text.

  • This paper presents an newly developed MPPT method for PV-SPE system. To chase maximum power point at every moment under conventional MPPT control method, voltage and current coming out from PV-cell are needed to be feedbacked. In this newly developed Maximum Current Control method, however, current flowing into SPE cell is only one considerable factor. To verify the theory, simulated results are compared and shown in this paper. Authors are sure that it is the most useful method to the maximum power from PV to SPE with only a feedback of SPE input current.
