A Numerical Study on Flow Control Structure of a New-Type Submerged Breakwater (신기능 잠제의 흐름 제어 기능에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • In case of constructing submerged breakwaters, the circulation current is occurred around the open inlet because of mean water level difference between front and rear sides of them. The aim of this study is to investigate the flow control structure of new-type submerged breakwater which is able to reduce mean water level at rear side of it. At first, the numerical model (LES-WASS-3D) is validated by comparing with existing experimental data. And then, numerical simulation is carried out to examine wave height, mean water level and mean flow around the newtype submerged breakwater. From the numerical results, it can be pointed out that the new-type submerged breakwater with drainage system reduces the rip current around the open inlet.

  • A selection of the analysis section for traffic accidents is used to analyze definitely the cause of accidents sorting similar accidents by a group and to raise the effect of improvement projects deciding the priority of accidents. In the existing method, an uniformly dividing method based on road mileages has been used, which has no consideration for similarities among accidents. Consequently, in recent, a slider-length method considering accident types rather than road mileages is widely used. In this study, using K-mean method, a non-hierarchical grouping technique used in the Cluster Analysis ai a applicatory method for the slider length method, a method classifies accidents that occurred the most nearby mileages into one group is proposed. To verify the proposed method, a comparison between the f-mean method and the dividing method at regular intervals on the data of a total of 25.6km lengths along Kyung-bu freeway in Pusan direction was made so that the K-mean method was proved to an effective method considering the similarities and adjacencies of accidents.

  • 고밀도 유도결합 플라즈마 장치의 $O_2$ 방전에 대한 공간 평균 시뮬레이터를 제작하였다. 제작된 시뮬레이터는 $O_2$ 플라즈마 방전에서 발생되는 전자, 양이온, 음이온 및 중성종, 활성종들에 대해 공간 평균된 유체 방정식을 기반으로 하고 있으며, 고밀도 유도결합 플라즈마 장치에서 전자가열 모델은 anomalous skin effect 를 고려한 파워 흡수 모델을 적용하여 전자가 흡수하는 고주파 파워량을 결정하였다. 완성된 시뮬레이터에서 RF- 파워, gas-inlet, pumping-speed등의 조정 변수를 비롯한 여러 가지 장치 변수들의 변화에 대한 하전입자, 중성종, 활성종들의 밀도 변화 및 전자 온도 의존성을 계산하였다.

  • If the lowest leaves of the cucumber were removed or training cultivable method was changed, a computer vision system could divide well the cucumber fruit from the others, and also an end-effector could reach and grip cucumber fruit and cut well its fruit stalk. Therefore, this study investigated whether removal leaves and training cultivable method of a cucumber could affect its growth and yield. They can help to be designed the vision system and the end-effector. A cucumber fruit grew by 6-l5cm long for 2 days regardless of removing leaves. Removal leaves didn't affect growth of cucumber fruit. Number of cucumber fruit was produced within 10% different values by three methods (A, B, C) of removal leaves. The first grade rate (best quality) of 4 B and C was 56.7%, 53.1%, 56.3% respectively. Consequently, proper removal leaves were better than traditional way, which does not remove a leaf, because they make cucumber plant ventilate more freely and absorb more light.

Factors Affecting Final Adult Height in Patients with Turner Syndrome (터너증후군 환자에서 최종 성인키에 영향을 미치는 인자들에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose : Short stature is one of the characteristic features of Turner syndrome. We investigated the factors affecting final adult height(FAH) in patients with Turner syndrome. Methods : The study group was comprised of 60 patients who were diagnosed with Turner syndrome by chromosomal study and clinical phenotypes and attained FAH. Data were obtained from retrospective review of the medical records. We analyzed the factors influencing FAH in growth hormone(GH) treated and GH untreated groups. Results : Sixty patients were enrolled; 48 patients received GH treatment, and 12 patients did not. Mean duration of GH treatment was 35.8 months(range 4 to 120 months), and mean dosage of GH was $0.8{\pm}0.2IU/kg/wk$ in GH treated group. Mean growth velocity was $5.6{\pm}2.0cm/yr$, which was significantly higher than that during pretreatment period. In the GH treated group, mean chronological age, bone age, mean height, and height standard deviation(SD) score at GH treatment were $12.2{\pm}2.7yr$ $10.3{\pm}2.5yr$ $127.5{\pm}10.1cm$ and $-3.1{\pm}1.1$, respectively. In the GH treated group, the mean FAH and SD score of FAH were $146.9{\pm}5.8cm$ and $-2.7{\pm}1.2$, respectively, which showed significant differences compared with those of the GH untreated group. Analyzing the factors affecting FAH in GH-treated patients, only the SD score of height at the time of treatment was significantly related to FAH. Conclusion : GH treatment leads to an increment in FAH in patients with Turner syndrome. Average FAH gain was as much as 5.8 cm. SD score of height at the time of GH treatment was the only factor influencing FAH.

Analysis of Daily Milking Flow in Holstein Dairy Cow Using the LactoCorder (전자식유량계를 활용한 홀스타인 젖소의 비유형질 분석)

  • A total of 486 milk records were collected from 16 diary farms in Imsil-gun, Jeollabuk-do. Results obtained were as follows: The average 3MG (amount of milk within the first three minute) was 7.44 kg and 55% of total milk yield was produced within 3 min. The average of SPL (% of foam in milk) was 33.93% and the average of MNG (strip yield) was 0.14 kg, which was less than 1% of total milk yield. The averages of HMF (highest milk flow), HMG (maximum milk flow rate in one minute) and DMHG (average milk flow in the main milking phase) were 3.03 kg/min, 2.94 kg/min and 2.05 kg/min, respectively and the average milking speed in Imsil-gun was slower than other regions. The average of tS500(time to reach 0.5 kg/min at beginning) was 0.23min (about 14 seconds) and that of tMGG (duration of the total milking) was 7.75min. The average tMBG (duration of the dry milking phase) was 0.58 min (35 seconds) and that of tMNG (duration of the stripping phase) was 0.42min (14 seconds). The averages of ELHMF (electrical conductivity at highest milk flow) and ELAP (beginning peak level of the electrical conductivity) were 6.81 mS/cm and 7.58 mS/cm, respectively. The average of ELMAX (maximum electrical conductivity) was 7.48 mS/cm and that of ELAD (beginning peak difference of the electrical conductivity) was 0.61 mS/cm. While the total milk yields for DMHG, tMHG (duration of the main milking phase), tPL (duration of the plateau phase), tAB (duration of the descending phase) and tMGG were positively correlated (0.35~0.54), those for tMBG and SPL were negatively correlated (-0.11 and -0.27). As the DMHG increased, tMHG, tPL, tAB, tMGG and SPL decreased. While the cows with higher electrical conductivity at the beginning of milking had less somatic cell counts, cows with higher electrical conductivity after the peak of milk yield had more somatic cell counts. The results of this experiment indicated that through milking based on milking and lactating standards and the regular checking of milking status, the qualities of milk and milk yields could be improved.

  • 본 논문에서는 평균이동 (mean shift) 기법을 이용하여 랜덤포레스트 (random forest) 기반 실시간 얼굴 특징점 추적 (facial features tracking) 방법을 제안한다. 우선, 눈의 위치를 이용하여 검출된 얼굴영역을 적절한 크기와 위치로 개선하여 랜덤포레스트를 이용한 얼굴 특징점 추적 알고리즘이 받는, 얼굴검출 (face detection) 과정에 얻어지는 얼굴영역 상자 (face bounding box) 크기와 위치의 영향을 감소 하였다. 또한 랜덤포레스트의 얼굴 특징점 추정결과에서 추정평균 대신 평균이동기법을 이용하여 잘못된 추정결과들을 제거하고 제대로 된 추정결과만 사용하여 얼굴 특징점 검출 정확도를 개선하였다. 따라서 제안하는 방법들을 이용하여 기존의 랜덤포레스트 기반 얼굴 특징점 검출 기법의 성능을 제고하고 실시간으로 얼굴 특징점을 추적할 수 있다.

  • 소프트웨어신뢰도의 일반적인 이론에서 소프트웨어의 고장율은 소프트웨어결함의 평균크기, 겉보기 결함밀도, 작업량의 곱인 것으로 제안한다. 고전적인 소프트웨어신뢰도모델들의 가정에 부합되는 이런 인자를 가진 모델들을 개발하였다. 선형, 기하학적, Rayleigh 모델들이 이에 해당된다. 선형신뢰도모델은 잔여결함의 평균크기와 작업량이 일정하고 겉보기 결함밀도가 실제 결함밀도와 동일하다는 가정 하에 유도된다. 기하학적모델은 결함을 수정함에 따라 평균결함크기가 기하학적으로 감소한다는 가정에 있어서 차이가 있다. 한편, Rayleigh 모델은 잔여 결함의 평균크기가 시간에 따라 선형적으로 감소한다는 가정에 있어서 차이가 있다. 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어의 신뢰도 요인의 거동을 가정하여 이러한 다양성을 수용하기 위한 모델링을 하였다.

Effect of Mean Diameter on the Explosion Characteristic of Magnesium Dusts (마그네슘의 폭발특성에 미치는 평균입경의 영향)

  • A study was carried out on the effect of particle size (mean diameter) on magnesium dust explosion. Experimental investigations were conducted in a 20-L explosion sphere, using 10 kJ chemical ignitors. Explosion tests were performed with three different dusts having mean diameter (38, 142, $567{\mu}m$) and the dust concentrations were up to $2250g/m^3$. The lower explosion limits(LEL) of magnesium dusts were about $30g/m^3$ at $38{\mu}m$ and $40g/m^3$ at $142{\mu}m$. LEL tended to increase with particle size and this means that the explosion probability of magnesium dust decreased with increase of particle size. The maximum explosion presssure ($P_m$) and $K_{st}$ (Explosion index) decreased with the increase of particle size. For magnesium powder of $567{\mu}m$, however, the explosive properties were not observed in the 5 kJ ignition energy.

도매시장 돼지평균가격 산정방법

  • 농림부는 지난 11월 10일 도매시장 돼지평균가격 산정방법을 개선하여 '98년 12월부터 가격발표 방식을 변경할 수 있도록 시.도 등 관련기관에 협조를 요청했다. 농림부는 각 시.도, 본회, 축산물등급판정소, 육류수출입협회 등 관련기관에 공문을 보내 "현행 도매시장 전체평균가격 정산제도에 미흡한 점이 있어 비육돈 평균가격 기준으로 정산방법을 바꾸도록 유도한다"고 밝히고, "시.도 및 관계기관에서는 도매시장에 조속히 알려 '98년 12월부터 가격발표 방식을 변경하도록 협조하여 줄 것"과 "적정지급률이 만들어 지도록 관내 육가공업체와 농가간에 공청회, 간담회 등을 개최하여 여론형성을 하고, 그 결과를 알려줄 것" 등을 요청했다. 다음은 농림부의 도매시장 돼지평균가격 산정방법 개선내용이다.
