조피볼락, Sebastes schlegeli의 초기생활사 동안 생존율 향상을 위한 생물학적 연구 - II. 자치어기의 에너지수지 (Biological Study on the Increment of Survival Rate during Early Life Cycle in the Rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli (Teleostei: Scorpaenidae) - II. Energy Budget of the Larvae and Juveniles Stages)

  • 조피볼락의 출산 후부터 치어기에 이르기까지 경과한 일수별로 성장, 호홉, 배설, 섭식 및 동화효율 등을 측정하여 에너지수지를 분석하였다. 출산후 자어의 전장은 4.56~5.49mm (평균 4.97mm, n=20)였으며, $20^{\circ}C$에서 1일 평균 성장률은 0.50mm였다. 출산후 경과일수에 따른 건중의 관계식은 $16^{\circ}C$에서 DW=$0.0380e^{0.1120D}$($r^2$=0.9049), $20^{\circ}C$에서 DW=$0.0324e^{0.1394D}$($r^2$=0.9239)였다. 비체중 산소 소비율 및 암모니아 질소배설률은 개체의 크기가 증가할수록 감소하였으며, $16^{\circ}C$에 비해 $20^{\circ}C$에서 높았다. 섭식율은 $16^{\circ}C$에서 자치어기의 25일 동안 65.8cal를, $20^{\circ}C$에서는 89.2cal를 섭취하여 $20^{\circ}C$에서 높게 나타났다. 동화효율은 수온에 따라 차이는 없었으며, 출산 후 20일째에는 $16^{\circ}C$$20^{\circ}C$에서 86.2% 였다. 출산 후 치어로 성장하는 동안 호홉에 비해 체성장에 더 많은 에너지를 이용하였으며, 수온이 높을수록 성장률이 빠르게 나타났다 출산 후부터 치어로 성장하는 동안 누적 섭식에너지에 대한 총성장효율은 43%~47%, 순성장효율은 50%~55% 였다.

동자개의 형태발달과 성장특성 (Development of Eggs, Larvae and Juvenile of the Korean Bullhead, Pseudobagrus fulvidraco (Richardson) reared in the laboratory)

  • 사육 조건하에서 동자개 Pseudobagrus fulvidraco의 발육에 따른 형태 변화 및 상대성장에 대해 검토하여 발육단계를 구분한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 수정난은 난경 2.04${\pm}$0.07 mm (n = 100)의 비교적 큰 구형의 분리되는 침성부착난으로서 수조의 바닥 및 기질에 강하게 부착한다. 2. 부화자어는 전장 약 4.92${\pm}$0.33 mm로, 부화 후 1일에 입이 열리고, 부화 2일후에는 항문이 열리고, 부화 후 3일에 섭이를 시작하여 후기자어기에, 부화 후 30일경에 전장 약 32 mm에 유어기에 이른다. 3. 전장에 대한 각 부위의 상대성장에 굴곡점은 전장 7~8 mm, 17~32 mm, 32 mm 전후에 집중적으로 나타났다. 4. 외부형태의 변화 및 상대성장의 굴곡점이 나타나는 어체 크기 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 자어기에서 유어기까지의 발육단계를 구분하면, 자어기는 전장 17 mm 이하, 치어기는 17~32 mm, 유어기는 32 mm 이상으로 사료된다. 상대성장의 측정결과 전기자어기에는 머리부분에 관련된 형질, 후기자어기 이후에는 운동능력에 관련된 형질의 우성장이 뚜렷하였다.

사육수조 내 사육기질이 어린 해삼의 성장 및 체조성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Different Substrates in the Rearing Tank on Growth and Body Composition of Juvenile Sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus)

  • 본 연구는 사육수조 내 shelter와 sand가 어린 해삼의 성장 및 체조성에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 수행되었다. 사육수조에 shelter와 모래를 넣지 않거나(Con), shelter (Shelter)와 모래(Sand)를 각각 넣어 사육 조건을 달리하여 평균체중 3.6 g의 어린 해삼을 3반복으로 수용하여 수입 분말사료(조단백질 16.8%, 조지방 0.3%)를 8주간 공급하였다. 생존율은 80% 이상으로 모든 실험구간에 유의한 차이가 없었다(P>0.05). 증중율과 일간 성장율은 Sand 실험 구에서 가장 높았고, Con 실험 구에서 가장 낮은 값을 보였다(P<0.05). 해삼의 단백질과 지질 함량은 Con 실험구에서 가장 높게 나타났으며, 회분 함량은 Sand 실험구에서 가장 높은 값을 보였다(P<0.05). 이상의 결과로 보아, 사육수조 내 shelter와 모래는 어린 해삼의 성장과 체조성에 영향을 미치며, 모래는 어린 해삼의 적정 성장을 위한 사육수조의 기질로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • An 8-week feeding experiment was conducted to evaluate three types of squid Sepia esculenta liver powder (SLP) as a dietary protein source replacing fish meal (FM) in juvenile olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. To replace FM, six experimental diets were formulated with three types (A, B, C) of SLP at the 5 and 10%: SLP-A5, SLP-A10, SLP-B5, SLP-B10, SLP-C5, and SLP-C10. One control diet contained 100% FM as the main protein source and another was a commercial diet (Com). Fish with an average body weight of $22.8{\pm}0.4$ g ($mean{\pm}SD$) were allocated randomly to aquaria in groups of 20 fish and fed the experimental diets in triplicate to satiation. The weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) of fish fed the SLP-C10 diet were lower than those of fish fed the FM and SLP-B5 diets. No significant difference was observed in the WG and SGR among fish fed the diets other than SLP-C10. The feed efficiency (FE) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) of fish fed each SLP diet did not differ from those fed the control diet. However, fish fed SLP-C5 and SLP-C10 had a lower FE and PER than the fish fed commercial, SLP-A5 and SLP-B5 diets. Each SLP diet except for SLP-C10 could replace up to 10% of FM for juvenile olive flounder. The results of this experiment provide information that will assist in formulating an inexpensive practical diet containing SLP for juvenile olive flounder.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of various dietary lipid sources on the growth performance, body composition, and fatty acid profiles of juvenile fancy carp (Cyprinus carpio var. koi). Three replicate groups of fish (initial mean body weight, 15.1±0.18 g) were fed one of five experimental diets containing fish oil (SLO), soybean oil (SO), linseed oil (LO), lard (LA), or a mixture of SLO, SO, and LO (Mix) for 8 weeks. Fish fed the LA diet gained less weight than did fish fed the LO diet. The feed efficiency and protein efficiency ratio of fish fed the LA and Mix diets were lower than those of fish fed the SO and LO diets. The body lipid content of fish fed the SO diet was lower than those of the other groups. Whole-body fatty acid compositions reflected the fatty acid compositions of dietary lipid sources. Fish fed the SO diet had high concentrations of linoleic acid and arachidonic acid, whereas fish fed the LO diet were rich in linolenic acid. Fish fed the SLO diet had significantly higher levels of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid compared with fish fed the SO, LO, and LA diets. The results of this study suggest that SO or LO could be used as a replacement for SLO in the diets of juvenile fancy carp without any negative effects on growth and feed utilization when the dietary essential fatty acid requirements are satisfied for juvenile fancy carp.

Evaluation of Rice Distillers Dried Grain as a Partial Replacement for Fish Meal in the Practical Diet of the Juvenile Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus

  • We evaluated the effects of rice distillers dried grain (DDG) as a partial replacement for fish meal in the practical diet on growth performance, feed utilization, and body composition of juvenile olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. Six isonitrogenous and isocaloric diets were formulated to contain 0%, 7%, 14%, 21%, 28%, and 35% DDG (designated DDG0, DDG7, DDG14, DDG21, DDG28, and DDG35, respectively). Three replicate groups of juvenile olive flounder averaging $9.6{\pm}0.2g$ were fed one of the experimental diets to visual satiety twice daily for 8 weeks. Neither survival nor daily feed intake was affected by the dietary DDG levels. Weight gain of the flounder fed the DDG28 and DDG35 diets was lower than that of flounder fed the DDG7 diet. The feed efficiency of flounder fed the DDG28 diet was lower than that of flounder fed the DDG0, DDG7, and DDG14 diets. The protein efficiency ratio of flounder fed the DDG28 diet was lower than that of flounder fed the DDG7 diet. The proximate composition of muscle was not affected by the dietary DDG levels. The plasma contents of total protein, glucose, cholesterol, glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, phospholipid, and triglyceride were not affected by the dietary DDG levels. The results of this experiment suggest that DDG has the potential to replace fish meal and could be used up to 21% DDG without any negative effects on the growth and feed utilization of juvenile flounder.

Distillers Dried Grain as a Partial Replacement for Wheat Flour in the Diet of Juvenile Rockfish Sebastes schlegeli

  • A 9-week feeding experiment was designed to test the effects of the dietary inclusion of distillers dried grain (DDG) on the growth performance, body composition, and antioxidant activity of juvenile rockfish Sebastes schlegeli. Five isonitrogenous and isocaloric diets were formulated to contain 0% DDG (DDG0), 7% and 14% DDG from rice (diets DDG-R7 and DDG-R14, respectively), as well as 7% and 14% DDG from rice and wheat flour (diets DDG-RW7 and DDG-RW14, respectively). Three replicate groups of juvenile rockfish averaging $68.0{\pm}0.4g$ were fed one of the diets to apparent satiation twice a day. Survival, weight gain, feed efficiency, and the protein efficiency ratio of fish were not affected by dietary DDG (P > 0.05). Proximate and amino acid compositions of the whole body were not affected by dietary DDG (P > 0.05). Plasma total protein, glucose, total cholesterol, glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, glutamate pyruvate transaminase, phospholipid, and triglyceride were not affected by dietary DDG (P > 0.05). Radical scavenging activity on 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) in the plasma of rockfish fed the DDG-RW14 diet was higher than that of fish fed the DDG0 diet (P < 0.05). Hydroxyl radical scavenging activity in the liver of rockfish fed diets containing DDG was higher than that of fish fed the DDG0 diet (P < 0.05). Alkyl radical scavenging activity in the liver of rockfish fed the DDG-R7 diet was higher than that of fish fed the DDG0 diet (P < 0.05). These results suggest that DDG is a suitable ingredient for the partial replacement of wheat flour and can be used at a rate of up to 14% in the diet without incurring negative effects on the growth performance or body chemical composition of juvenile rockfish.

Effects of enzymatically hydrolyzed fish by-products in diet of juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

  • Five experimental diets were formulated to evaluate the effects of dietary enzymatically hydrolyzed tuna by-product on growth, non-specific immune responses, and hematology of juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). A basal diet with 50% of fishmeal was used as control (CON) and four other diets replaced 12.5% ($TBB_{12.5}$), 25% ($TBB_{25}$), 37.5% ($TBB_{37.5}$), and 50% ($TBB_{50}$) of fish meal in the CON diet. Juvenile rainbow trout ($4.87{\pm}0.05g$) were randomly distributed into 15 tanks (50 L) and fed 3-4% of wet body weight two times a day. At the end of 7 weeks of feeding trial, weight gain, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, and protein efficiency ratio of fish fed CON diet were significantly higher than those of fish fed $TB_{50}$ diet (P < 0.05). But there were no significant differences among fish fed CON, $TBB_{12.5}$, $TBB_{25}$, and $TBB_{37.5}$ diets (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in GPT levels among fish fed CON, $TBB_{12.5}$, $TBB_{25}$, and $TBB_{37.5}$ diets. Also, there were no significant differences in lysozyme, superoxide dismutase, glucose, and total protein levels in all experimental diet (P > 0.05). The broken-line analysis indicated that the minimum dietary level of enzymatically hydrolyzed tuna by-product to replace fishmeal could be 29.7% in rainbow trout. These results indicated that the optimum level of dietary enzymatically hydrolyzed tuna by-product could replace greater than 29.7% but less than 37.5% of fishmeal in juvenile rainbow trout diet.

The Effects Of The Dietary Microbial Phytase Supplementation In Juvenile Olive Flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus And Juvenile Korean Rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli Fed Soybean Meal-Based Diets

  • This study was conducted to determine the effects of the dietary microbial phytase (P) supplementation on growth performance and bioavailability of phosphorus in juvenile olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus and juvenile Korean rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli fed soybean meal-based diets. Nine experimental diets were formulated to be isonitrogenous and isocalolic to contain 50.0%crude protein (CP) and 16.7kJ, 48.6% crude protein (CP) and 16.0kJ available energy/g without the dietary phytase supplementation for olive flounder and Korean rockfish, respectively : 100% fish meal (FM); 70% FM + 30% soybean meal (SM); 70% FM + 30% SM + Phytase(P) 1000U/kg diet; 70% FM + 30% SM + P 2000U/kg diet; 70% FM + 30% SM with phytase-treated (Ptre) P 1000U/kg diet; 60% FM + 40% SM; 60% FM + 40% SM + P 1000U/kg diet; 60% FM + 40% SM + P 2000U/kg diet; 60% PM + 40% SM with Ptre P 1000U/kg diet. After two weeks of the conditioning period, triplicate groups of 25 fish initially averaging 6.15$\pm$0.04g, was randomly distributed into the aquarium for olive flounder, and 20 fish initially averaging 7.25$\pm$0.04g was randomly distributed into the aquarium for Korean rockfish. After 8 weeks feeding trials, there was no significant difference on weight gain fish fed between 100% FM and 70% FM+30%SM with Ptre P 1000U in olive flounder and Korean rockfish. Apparent phosphorus digestibility fish fed phytase supplemental diets were significantly higher than those of fish fed phytase non-supplemental diets in olive flounder and Korean rockfish. Therefore, these results indicated that pre-treated soybean meal with phytase 1000U could replace fishmeal up to 30% for the maximum growth of juvenile olive flounder and Korean rockfish. Phytase supplementation could improve apparent digestibility of phosphorus in olive flounder and Korean rockfish fed soybean meal based diets.

  • 전남 연안역에 출현하는 멸치 치어의 성장을 연구하기 위하여 전남 연안역의 3개 정점에서 1988년 5월부터 1989년 8월 사이에 정치망으로 멸치를 채집하였으며, 멸치의 연령은 이석에 나타난 성장선수로부터 결정하였다. 체장의 성장은 Gompertz의 성장식으로 표현하면 $$L =5.76{\times}E xp(1.66 \times(1- E xp(-0.44\;t)))$$, 또는 $$L=3.7{\times}E xp(1.99\times(1-E xp(-0.0614\;t)))$$로 표시된다. 20일부터 40일 사이의 평균 일일성장율은 0.38mm/day였으며, 일일성장율은 10일경에 최대를 보인후 서서히 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 멸치의 성장은 채집시기나 채집장소에 관계없이 거의 일정한 것으로 나타났다.
