The official talks on the amendment of the Korean - Japanese Fisheries Agreement which was concluded in 1965 are under way since 1996. The convention area of the existing fisheries agreement is the high sea, but it should be changed to the exclusive economic zone(EEZ) for the newly amended fisheries agreement. Accordingly, the fundamental policies to be embodied within the amended fisheries agreement are summarized as follows : 1. One of the basic doctrine of the new agreement should be the formulation of a device of international cooperation for the fishery development as well as the conservation and management of the fishery resources. 2. The preparation of the future-oriented international relationship which reflects the specific character of the fishery relationship between both countries. 3. The existing fishery results of both parties should be protected on the ground of the reciprocity principle. 4. Both parties should reach an agreement upon the joint conservation and management measures for the transboundary fishery resources. 5. In consideration of the difficulty of EEZ delimitation between both countries, a provisional fisheries agreement can be an alternative measure.

Clear cell acanthoma (CCA) is an asymptomatic benign lesion of unknown origin that typically appears as a brownish, dome-shaped papule on the leg. It has an unusual clinical feature in that it appears as chronic eczema, Bowen disease, or Paget disease on the areola. Its histopathologic findings are well-demarcated psoriasiform acanthosis with pale keratinocytes (clear cells) that are rich in intracellular glycogen, which stain positively with Periodic acid-Shiff. We report herein on a young female patient with CCA on the areolar areas.

To prepare an environmental friendly high-solid coatings an acrylic resin containing 80% of solid content was synthesized by addition polymerization of caprolactone acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, ethyl methacrylate, and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. The conversion was $78{\sim}93%$ and the prepared resin's physical properties are as follows: viscosity, $212{\sim}3424cps: $M_{n}$ $1740{\sim}2400$. There was a trend that viscosity and molecular weight of the resin increased with Tg, but no direct proportionality was observed.

This paper includes an example of applying Six Sigma to Non-function test process to improve the efficiency and reliability of the Ammunition Stockpile Reliability Program (ASRP). By applying the DMAIC which is one of the Six sigma methods. we found out the vital few and as an improved version : effective redesign of check-sheets, pre-examination of technology, on-the-scene support system. As a result, we could enhance the reliability and reduce manpower and additional expenses.

Sophoricoside was isolated as the inhibitor of IL-5 bioactivity from Sophora japonica (Leguminosae). It has been reported to have an anti-inflammatory effect on rat paw edema model. To develope as an anti-allergic drug, genotoxicity of sophoricoside was investigated in bacterial and mammalian cell system such as Ames bacterial test, chromosomal aberration assay and single cell gel electrophoresis (Comet) assay.(omitted)

This paper introduces an experimental study for the noise reduction of a ventilating fan system. For the purpose of noise reduction, conventionally an absorptive duct silencer filled with a glass fiber has been utilized. However, a glass fiber has some disadvantages like hygiene and secondary pollution problems. In order to overcome these problems, in this paper, a perforated duct silencer has been applied to the ventilating fan system. For the designing of a perforated duct silencer, the transmission losses for various perforated panel systems are measured and compared with its noise reduction performance.

In recent, Kalman filter technique has been much used as one of technique for tracking of the moving target. But some problem are still remained to be resolved. For example, when Kalman filter technique is applied to nonlinear system, the technique is nonoptimal estimator. Therefore, extended Kalman filter is proposed to reduce modeling error for nonlinear system. In this study, an extended Kalman filter in Cartesian coordinates is described for moving target, when the radar sensor measures range, azimuth and elevation angle in polar coordinates. And an approximate gain computation algorithm is proposed. In this approach, Kalman gains are computed for three uncoupled filter and multiplied by a Jacobian transformation determined from the measured target position and orientation.

This paper describes the results of experiments on the bending behavior of welded square tube structures for drive shaft sub frame of BIMODAL Tram. The used specimens to test were two different type made of ATOS60 and ST52-3. The square tube made of ST52-3 is the non-welded structure, while the square tube made of ATOS60 is the welded structure. The welded square tube made of ATOS60 will be applied for drive shaft sub frame of BIMODAL Tram. This welded square tube could reduce the manufacturing cost in comparison of non-welded square tube. The results showed that the bending performance of welded square tube made of ATOS60 was proven, and the bending behavior was in an good agreement with that of nonlinear finite element analysis.

Catalytic trimerization of isobutene to produce triisobutenes has been performed over cation-exchange resin and zeolite catalysts. Resin catalysts have the advantage of long lifetime and high trimers selectivity even though the regeneration of an aged catalyst is not satisfactory. On the contrary, zeolite catalysts can be regenerated facilely by simple calcination in air even though the lifetime is short and trimers selectivity is low probably due to small pore size and strong acidity, respectively. It is, therefore highly desirable to develop an inorganic acid catalyst with macro- or meso-pores to show catalytic performances similar or superior to those of macroporous resin catalysts.

In order to evaluate seismic performance of multi-degree-of-freedom bridge structure, moderate lateral load distribution methods using the pushover analysis were developed by many researchers. One of important variables to improve an accuracy of pushover analysis is lateral load distribution. In this study, pushover analyses were performed using the five types of lateral load distribution and seismic performances were evaluated by capacity spectrum method (CSM). To verify an accuracy of suggested lateral load distribution, the maximum displacement estimates by the CSM were compared to those by inelastic time history analysis.
