This study analyzes the effects of the three types of flexible work arrangements (part-time, flexitime, and reduced working hours for childcare) available in Korea on work-family conflict, facilitation, and job satisfaction for married working women ages 15-49. The study employs a panel analysis based on the first to the fourth data from the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women & Families (KLoWF). The major results are as follows. First, the availability of part-time jobs and reduced working hours to facilitate childcare is significantly related to work-family conflict for married women. If a married woman is employed in a part-time position or if reduced working hours for childcare are available, the conflict within the family caused by the job is reduced. Second, none of the three types of flexible work arrangements have a statistically significant influence on work-family facilitation for married women. Third, the availability of reduced working hours for childcare has a positive effect on the job satisfaction of married women. In conclusion, flexible working hours for women who are raising children are the main factor in reducing the negative effect of a job on a woman's family life as they contribute to work and family compatibility.
This study examined the factors that affect the relationship among coffee barista employees job stress, job satisfaction and customer organizational loyalty. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed to consumers, of which 188 were deemed suitable for analysis after the removal of 12 unusable responses. In order to perform statistical analyses required by the study, the SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was employed for frequency, factor, reliability correlation, and regression analyses. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that three factors regarding job stress were extracted from all measurements with a KMO of 0.714 and a total cumulative variance of 64.368%, with regards to job satisfaction, three factors were extracted with a total cumulative variance of 151.612% and a KMO score of 0.659. One factor for organizational loyalty was extracted that accounted for a total cumulative variance of 62.102% and a KMO score of 0.750. All factors were significant to 0.000 and the correlation between variables was significant. Thus, based on the results, the main research hypothesis that identifies the relationships among job stress, job satisfaction and organizational loyalty was partially adopted.
The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of job satisfaction on job performance and to examine the moderating effects of employment type of the employees in franchised Korean restaurants. The questionnaire was distributed to the employees in Korean restaurants having abroad branches of the 300 distributed questionnaire, and 271 copies were used in the analysis by exploring factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression and hierarchical moderated regression analysis through SPSS ver. 18.0. The results of the study were as followed; First, job satisfaction, the work and superior factor have positive influence on job performance, but wages and promotion factor have negative influence. Second, the employment type has the partially moderating effects between job satisfaction and job performance with interactive term(superior$^*$ employment type). On the basis of these results, it is suggested that the company has fair criteria for evaluating systems and reward program to the employees regardless of employment type. This study has the limitations of simple variable and employment type.
The purpose of this study is to present the psychological capital as a leading factor affecting organizational commitment, to determine the role of job satisfaction as a mediator among those, and finally to find the way to increase the commitment by suggesting a new idea for human resources management in the foodservice firms which were having difficulties in finding new employees and in high turnover rates. A survey was conducted on the employees in foodservice firms including both franchise management and direct management restaurants for the period of the month of February 2012, and the data were analyzed with frequency analysis, reliability test, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, path analysis, and mediating effect analysis by using SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 7.0. As a result of the study, the psychological capital factors such as hope, resiliency, and optimism had significant effects on organizational commitment, and job satisfaction strongly mediated the relations of the psychological capital factors as presented above and the organizational commitment.

Conflict may occur during teamwork activities. Conflict is the incompatibility of interest of participants; hence, it is more common in a wide varied activities involved construction field. Goals and values involve positive or negative features and are therefore common sources of conflict in construction field. Excessive conflict is a major hindrance to the effective operation of a team. If the conflict is not managed timely and properly, it could be transformed into a big dispute, thus to avoid these situation, it is necessary to augment working together culture. This paper aims to identify project team working factors and to uncover underlying relationships between these factors. A questionnaire survey was used to collect data from professionals. Factor analysis was employed to categorize twenty-one teamwork items evaluated by 169 respondents working in three major construction parties namely, owners, consultants and contractors. Factor analysis uncover that these team work factors can be grouped under three categories titled as: integrative working culture, relationship building and trust building. Multiple regression analysis however, showed that relationship building factor does not influence job satisfaction of project participants. Results of this study can be used as a tool to strengthening relationship between project participants in the construction industry.
Purpose: This study analyzed domestic articles that studied job-stress of nurses using Meta Analysis to evaluate the responses resulted from job-stress and the factors affecting them. Method: To conduct this study, data were collected primarily from database of "richis" and additionally from 8 nursing journals and 5 theses for a degree on job-stress of clinical nurses. Result: As a result of Meta Analysis casual factor of job-stress, the result represented that two reasons; personal factor was the age, occupational factor were ward, duration of employment and position. By the result of analysis of effect of job-stress, satisfaction of the job, exhaustion, health status and immersion of the job were strongly related to job-stress. According to the general solution against job-stress that referred from job-stress related theses, there are several; Imagination Therapy, Assertive Training and Value Clarification Training could bring significant result. Conclusion: This study showed that because job-stress of clinical nurses had nothing to do with personal factors, job-stress management plans for nurses are needed to focus on occupational factors. Also the study suggested that various coping skills that proved to be effective are needed to be used to relieve job-stress and that's responses on nurses.
School foodservice employees are involved with every aspect of ensuring that high quality meals are prepared and they influence student satisfaction. The objective of this study was to identify whether job satisfaction of cooks is affected by their relationships with management. Survey forms that were developed for foodservice dietitians and employees were interviewed. Questionnaires to measure job satisfaction were distributed to 30 schools in the Gyeonggi province and completed by 30 dietitians and 323 cooks. Foodservice cooks' job satisfaction was evaluated by measuring attitudes towards aspects of their job using the modified Smith method(1969). All items in the scales were coded by 4 Likert scale(1: nerver satisfied, 4: very satisfied), then grouped by using factor analyses. Statistical methods used in this study were a $x^2$-test, t-test with SPSS software(version 12.0). The study results were as follows; 1) The demographic data showed that 65.3% of respondents were in their 40s, 96% were married, 68.8% were high school graduates, and 93.5% were contracted employees. Regarding overall experience in their current workplace, 27.9% had been in their position over 5 years and 25.7% said less than 2 years. 2) Most of the school lunches was served in the classroom(73.3%). The cook working was rotated among the employees(90%). Most employees did not use a day's leave of absence per month because they were averse to burdening their coworkers. 3) There were no significant differences in job satisfaction between the cooks' self-evaluation scores(2.92) and those of the dietitians(2.92). Among the factors influencing job satisfaction, dietitians(2.10) perceived that cooks(1.99) were more satisfied with their salaries than was actually the case. The cooks(3.19) rated their level of work satisfaction higher than the dietitians(3.03) perceived it to be. Employees rated their relationship satisfaction as 3.50, but dietitians on the other hand rated it 3.37. Most of the cook respondents want a higher salary and a some kind of employment guarantee. This study provides foodservice managers information useful for design positions that will increase productivity. Future study is needed to determine the factors that will improve job satisfaction and satisfy the employees' needs, which in turn will improve school food service quality.
Background: We hypothesized that the growing demand of Korean workers for work-life balance would change the factors influencing job satisfaction. We sought to verify our hypothesis by conducting a conjoint analysis based on the Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS). Methods: We analyzed the raw data of the KWCS, conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute from 2006 to 2017. To complete the analysis, we counted on a conjoint model of analysis, typically used in the analysis of customer satisfaction. The dependent variable was the satisfaction of workers with their working conditions, and the independent variables were the job quality indicators identified by Eurofound. Results: The factors that have the greatest impact on working conditions satisfaction are summarized as follows: "physical environment" for the first wave, "adverse social behavior" for the second wave, "occupational status" for the third and fourth waves, and "management quality" for the fifth wave. "Earnings" were not a major factor in determining employee job satisfaction, and the relative importance index is decreasing. Conclusion: According to the results of the analysis of the tendencies of Korean workers, the factors that affect the satisfaction with the working conditions have changed over time. It is crucial to identify factors that affect working conditions to assure the health and productivity of workers. The results of this study demonstrate that policymakers and employers are required to attentively consider human relations and social environment at work to improve working conditions in the future.
Investment in training by a company can lead to the retention and motivation of its valued staff and promote high self-fulfillment by providing career development. The objectives of this research were (a) to test the perceived satisfaction with a training based on respondents' socio-demographic characteristics, (b) to investigate training motivation factors affecting employees' training satisfaction, (c) to assess how training motivation factors affect the employees' satisfaction, and (d) to indicate the relationship between training satisfaction and the employees' job satisfaction. Additionally, by developing an employees' training motivation model and conducting multiple regression analysis, two types of motivation factors, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation, were shown to be positively related to employees' training satisfaction. Subsequently, this employees' training satisfaction was a significant determinant factor for improving job satisfaction.
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to offer basic data in arranging the improved working environment to Emergency Medical Technicians, by analyzing the influence of job satisfaction in Emergency Medical Technician within hospital upon organizational commitment. Method : This study was carried out targeting 203 Emergency Medical Technicians who are working at hospitals in B Metropolitan City, U Metropolitan City, D Metropolitan City, an d G Province. The data collection was performed from April 1, 2009 to June 10. The statistical processing was used a program of SPSS WIN 12.0 Version. The statistical significance was set to p<.05. Results : 1. In the descriptive statistics of the job satisfaction and the organizational commitment. the whole average for job satisfaction was 3.06 points. The whole average for organizational commitment was 3.05 points. 2. In the difference between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, the group for job satisfaction was indicated to be statistically significant in job-choice motive(F=2.710, p<.05) and turnover propensity(t=.662, p<.001). The group for organizational commitment was indicated to be statistically significant in working department(F=2.871, p<.05), job-choice motive(F=2.944, p<.05), turnover propensity(t=.903, p<.001), and turnover reason(F=3.415, p<.01). 3. In the correlation between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, the job satisfaction showed positive correlation(r=.736, p<.01) with organizational commitment. 4. As for the influence of job-satisfaction factor upon organizational commitment, salary(${\beta}$=.162, t=2.739, p<.01), autonomy(${\beta}$=.372, t=4.633, p<.001), working environment(${\beta}$=.139, t=1.968, p<.05), and organizational needs(${\beta}$=.172, t=2.291, p<.05) were indicated to have significant effect on organizational commitment. Conclusion : The institutional arrangement is considered to be likely to be necessarily made highly for improving social image and enhancing salary and working environment so that Emergency Medical Technician within hospital can be enhanced job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
