There were significant differences in health status, sleep and depression by employment status. As for old adults with job, job satisfaction had the greatest effect on depression, followed by perceived health status, difficulty of daily activities by disease, and deep-sleeping days in the order. These variables accounted for 29% of depression. As for old adults without job, perceived health status had the greatest effect on depression, followed by difficulty of daily activities by disease, deep-sleeping days and total sleeping time in the order. These variables accounted for 32% of depression. Therefore, the health-promotion intervention to improve the health status, sleep and depression of the elderly should be planed and provided considering such differences by employment status.

Results: Visiting nurses' job was derived as the theme of present versus transitional roles. The present role was categorized as 'providing individual- and group-focused services' and 'conducting organization management', while the transitional role was categorized as 'providing district-focused services' and 'responding to new health issues'. The job generated 13 duties, 28 tasks, and 73task elements. The tasks showed the levels of frequency (3.65 scores), importance (4.27 scores), and difficulty (3.81 scores). All the tasks were determined as important, exceeding the average 4.00 scores. The group- and district-focused services of the tasks were recognized as more difficult but less frequent tasks. • Designing the industrial ventilation system is the complex and time-consuming job. It could generate some errors in the design calculations if one uses the hand-calculator or the spreadsheet program. To overcome these difficulties, VSDS(Ventilation System Design Software) had been developed a few years ago. But, it had the difficulty in designing a complex system having many branches because the user can not see the layout of the system on the screen. Another difficulty is that VSDS had been based on the assumption of the standard air condition. VSDS has thus been improved to overcome the shortcomings of the old version of VSDS.
