제주·호남권 전통된장과 고추장의 미생물 군집구조의 분석 (Comparison of microbial community profiling on traditional fermented soybean products (Deonjang, Gochujang) produced in Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, and Jeju province area)

  • 전통방식으로 제조하는 전통 장류인 된장과 고추장은 제조하는 환경과 방법, 미생물 그리고 제조자에 따라 다양한 풍미와 특성을 나타낸다고 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 전통 된장과 전통 고추장의 미생물 분포도를 제주도(된장 2점, 고추장 2점), 전남권(된장 3점, 고추장 3점), 전북권(된장 7점, 고추장 5점)으로 구분하여 미생물(세균, 진균) 분포의 차이점과 유사점에 대해 차세대 염기서열 분석법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석시료는 종균을 이용하지 않고 자연발효 되었고, 1~5년간 발효 숙성된 제품으로 수집되었다. 전통 된장의 세균 분포도를 보면, 3개 지역에서 공통적으로 우점하는 세균은 B. amyloliquefaciens와 Tetragenococcus halophilus이었으며, Bacillus 속은 전남권(43.16%), 전북권(64.54%)에서 주요한 우점균 이었다. 그러나 제주도의 시료는 Bacillus 속이 0.22%로 내륙과 제주도는 현저한 차이를 보여주었다. 진균 분포도를 보면, Candida versatilis는 3개 지역에서 공통적으로 우점 하였으며, Candida 속은 전남권(64.22%), 전북권(33.68%)이었고, Mucor 속은 전북권(36.73%), 전남권(15.66%)의 주요한 우점종이었다. 그러나 제주도 시료는 곰팡이 보다는 효모인 Candida 속과 Zygosaccharomyces rouxii가 우점균이었다. 전통 고추장의 세균 분포도를 보면, 3개 지역에서 공통적으로 우점하는 세균은 B. subtilis와 B. licheniformis이며, B. amyloliquefaciens는 호남권에서만 우점종 이었다. 전반적으로 고추장에서 Bacillus 속이 우점균이라는 내용과 일치되는 결과를 나타냈다(Jin et al., 2007). 진균 분포도를 보면, 3개 권역의 고추장에서 공통적인 우점종이 없었으며, 제주도와 전남권은 Aspergillus 속과 Rhizopus 속이 우세하였고, 전북권은 Zygosaccharomyces rouxii가 우점종이었다. 이러한 결과는 본 연구를 위해 수집된 표본에서는 전통 된장과 전통 고추장은 지역적인 특징보다는 각 시료의 군집특성에 따라 유사 군이 형성된 것으로 사료되었다. 따라서 본 연구결과를 기반으로 하여 우리나라 전국적으로 표본을 수집하여 분석함으로써 보다 명확한 지역적, 시료 특성별 유사점과 차이점에 대한 미생물의 군집 분포도를 정의할 수 있을 것으로 예상되었다.

  • 본 연구는 개정된 새 도서관법에 의한 지역대표도서관의 역할 규명을 위한 것으로, 특정 지역을 선정하여 그 지역대표도서관이 해당 지역 공공도서관 발전 도모를 위해 필요한 역할을 중심으로 진행되었다. 연구에서는 지역대표도서관의 본질적 기능과 해당 지역의 현장 사서들의 인식 및 환경적 요인을 바탕으로 하여 지원적 역할과 협력적 역할을 찾고자 하였다. 그 결과 협력적 역할로는 5개 지역의 특성화된 지역거점도서관의 활용으로, 지원적 역할로는 전북지역 지식정보원의 구축에 의한 교육 및 문화행사의 지원 등을 도모하도록 한다.

전북지역 도축 출하돈 병변 조사 (Survey on the gross lesions of slaughtered pigs in Jeonbuk area, Korea)

  • Respiratory disease in pigs is common in modern pork production worldwide and is often referred to as porcine respiratory disease complex (PRDC). PRDC is polymicrobial in nature, and results from infection with various combinations of primary and secondary respiratory pathogens. The control of swine respiratory disease requires an understanding of the interactions between the organisms that can cause this illness, the pig and management of the environment. This study was carried out to investigate the lesion of red internal organs in slaughtered pigs and provided assistant data for pig farms. A total of 900 lung samples, 45 farms were collected randomly from slaughtered pigs in Jeonbuk province from April to December in 2014. Gross lesions such as swine enzootic pneumonia (SEP), pleuritis, pleuropneumonia, pericarditis, liver white spots were examined for the pigs. Overall prevalence of SEP was 70.8%. According to season, the incidence occurred higher in summer than winter, fall and spring. The mean SEP score was 1.4, the highest incidence occurred in fall. The prevalence of pleuropneumonia, pleuritis, pericarditis, and milk spot was 26.1%, 71.4%, 2.8%, 21.6%, respectively. In the detection of pathogens, PRRS was not detected, PCV2 was positive in 87.6%.

전북지역 복분자와 오디 음료 제품의 구매실태 및 제품 속성의 중요도와 만족도 비교 (A Study on the Consumption Patterns, the Importance of Product Properties, and the Satisfaction Levels of Blackberry and Mulberry Fruit Beverage Products in the Jeonbuk Area)

  • The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the consumption patterns, the importance of product properties, and the satisfaction levels of blackberry and mulberry fruit beverage products(BMBPs) in the Jeonbuk area, Korea. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 294 customers(male 40.8%, female 59.2%) residing at Jeonju in Jeonbuk area. Descriptive and comparative statistical analyses were completed using SPSS PC program(version 19.0). Approximately, 61.6% of participants consumed BMBPs 1-2times a year. Only 1.7% of participants consumed BMBPs everyday. The main information source about BMBPs was 'families/friends'. About 58.8% of participants responded that the main reason for purchasing BMBPs was 'for health'. The result indicated the overall importance level(3.94) was higher than the satisfaction level(3.41)(p < .001). The importance and satisfaction levels of the older group (50's) were significantly higher than the levels of younger group(20-30's)(p < .01 ; p < .05). According to the IPA(Importance-Performance Anslysis), 'price' and 'credibility' of companies were the most important properties that had to be changed as soon as possible to increase satisfaction with BMBPs. Therefore, to increase BMBPs'-consumption, quality improvements on these products through cooperation between BMBPscompanies, the regional government, and research institutions are necessary.

지역 간 시계열 인구이동의 정량적 특징 분석 및 인구이동 네트워크의 연결중심성 분석 (Analysis of the Spatio-temporal Migration and Degree Centrality of Migration Network)

  • In this study, we visualized the regional migration in Korea from 2001 to 2015 using the Chord diagram which can represents amount of migration and flows at the same time. In addition, we constructed a migration network and analyzed the degree centrality of each region for identifying the main regions linking to various regions. In 2001~2005, most of population moved into Geonggi from various regions. However, the capital function was transferred to Sejong in 2011~2015, and population moving into Sejong and Chungnam was increased significantly. The main outflow of population in migration network were shown at the regions in Jeonbuk and Gyeongbuk province in 2001~2004, and recently the regions in Gyeongnam, Gyeonggi, and Seoul were identified as the main nodes in terms of outflow of population. We also focused on migration in rural area through degree centrality, and cord diagram in Chungnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeonnam where include the representative crop area. In 2015. there was the significant increase of migration from Gyeonggi to Chungnam, and internal migration within Jeonbuk increased rather than cross-border migration. In addition, migration from Jeonam to capital area decreased in 2015 but migration among cities within Jeonman increased. In particular, Yesan-gun showed the significant migration to other cities in Jeonnam. Population is necessary to develop community and sustain economic growth in rural regions. Therefore, migration is important for the transfer of manpower. The strength of this study is to approach the temporal change of migration from the viewpoint on quantitative and structural characteristics.

고전류밀도 전해도금 공정에서 PEG 첨가 효과 (Effects of PEG addition as an additive for electroplating of Cu at high current density)

  • In this study, copper foil was electroplated under high current density conditions. We used Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), known for its thermal stability and low decomposition rate, as an inhibitor to form a stable and smooth copper layer on the titanium cathode. The electrolyte was composed of 50 g/L CuSO4 and 100 g/L H2SO4, MPSA as an accelerator, JGB as a leveler, and PEG as a suppressor, and HCl was added as chloride ions for improving plating efficiency. The copper foil electroplated in the electrolyte added PEG which induced to inhibit the growth of rough crystals. As a result, the surface roughness value was reduced, and a uniform surface was formed over a large area. Moreover, the addition of PEG led to priority growth to the (111) plane and the formation of polygonal crystals through horizontal and vertical growth of crystals onto the cathode. In addition, the grains became fine when more than 30 ppm of PEG was added. As the microcrystalline structure changed, mechanical and electrical properties were altered. With the addition of PEG, the tensile strength increased due to grain refinement, and the elongation was improved due to the uniform surface. However, as the amount of PEG added increased, the corrosion rate and resistivity increased due to grain refinement. Finally, it was possible to manufacture a copper foil with excellent electrical and mechanical properties and the best surface properties when electroplating was carried out under the condition of additives with Cl-20 ppm, MPSA 10 ppm, JGB 5 ppm, and PEG 10 ppm.

람사르협약의 습지보호지역으로 지정된 전북 고창 운곡습지의 곤충상에 관한 연구 (Insect Fauna of Ungok Wetland in Gochang, Jeonbuk, Korea, Designated as a Wetland Protection Area at Ramsar Convention)

  • Insect fauna were surveyed in 2011 at Ungok wetland, Obeygol, located in Gochang, Jeonbuk, Korea. In total, 149 species belonging to 11 orders and 57 families were surveyed. Among them, Lepidopterans composed 23.5% (35 species) of the total insect numbers surveyed, comprising the most abundant group, and followed by Coleoptera, Hemiptera, and Odonata with a composition of 22.1% (33 species), 17.4% (26 species), and 10.1% (15 species), respectively. Bothrogonia japonica Ishihara was the most dominant species, and followed by Gastrophysa atrocyanea Motschulsky and Celastrina argiolus (Linnaeus). Phytophagous insects accounted for 60 percent of the total species. Dominance index was the highest in spring by 0.21. Diversity, richness, and evenness indices were the highest in summer by 4.07, 11.84 and 0.96, respectively. In the study area, the legally-protect species were grouped into five groups; 9 export-restricted species, 17 endemic species, 28 indicator species, 1 climate-sensitive biological indicator and 3 southern characteristic species. Additionally, twenty forest insect pest species were surveyed, belonging to 5 orders and 15 families. Therefore, it is required to conduct long-term monitoring and appropriate management based on the ecological characteristic of the habitats to continuously conserve and maintain of wetland.

정읍지역 한우에서의 백혈병 항체가 조사 (Investigation of antibodies to bovine leukosis virus from Korean indigenous cattle in Jeongeup area)

  • Bovine leukosis is one of the important diseases in Korea because of economic losses, and this study was conducted to provide basic information for the control of the disease. A total of 2,104 sera were obtained from 491 farms and examined by commercial kit. In the seroprevalence of farms and heads, 71 farms out of 491 were seropositive (14.5%) and 119 heads were positive (5.7%) out of 2,104. In the areal distribution of seropositiveness, Soseong-myeon showed the highest rate (39.5%, 15/38 farms)and Yeongwon-myeon was the lowest (2.6%, 1/38 farms). By age, positive rate in the below of 1 year old cattle was much less than that in the over of 1 year old, namely, the former was 1.9% (3/161 farms) and the latter 20.6% (68/330 farms). According to the farm size, there was no significant difference among the size. However, the highest rate was shown in the farms having 50-99 heads, 23.2% (13/56 farms).

Interstitial Lung Abnormality in Asian Population

  • Interstitial lung abnormalities (ILAs) are radiologic abnormalities found incidentally on chest computed tomography (CT) that can be show a wide range of diseases, from subclinical lung fibrosis to early pulmonary fibrosis including definitive usual interstitial pneumonia. To clear up confusion about ILA, the Fleischner society published a position paper on the definition, clinical symptoms, increased mortality, radiologic progression, and management of ILAs based on several Western cohorts and articles. Recently, studies on long-term outcome, risk factors, and quantification of ILA to address the confusion have been published in Asia. The incidence of ILA was 7% to 10% for Westerners, while the prevalence of ILA was about 4% for Asians. ILA is closely related to various respiratory symptoms or increased rate of treatment-related complication in lung cancer. There is little difference between Westerners and Asians regarding the clinical importance of ILA. Although the role of quantitative CT as a screening tool for ILA requires further validation and standardized imaging protocols, using a threshold of 5% in at least one zone demonstrated 67.6% sensitivity, 93.3% specificity, and 90.5% accuracy, and a 1.8% area threshold showed 100% sensitivity and 99% specificity in South Korea. Based on the position paper released by the Fleischner society, I would like to report how much ILA occurs in the Asian population, what the prognosis is, and review what management strategies should be pursued in the future.

지리 정보 시스템을 활용한 소아 전문 치과의 공간적 접근성 평가 (Assessing Spatial Accessibility to Pediatric Dental Clinics Using the Geographic Information System)

  • 이 연구는 지리 정보 시스템을 활용하여 우리나라 소아 전문 치과 병·의원의 접근성을 평가하고 접근성이 가장 좋은 지역과 좋지 못한 지역을 정량적으로 비교, 분석하고자 하였다. 분석 결과 서울에서 가장 높은 정도의 밀집도를 보여주었고, 경북과 전북에서 가장 낮은 정도의 밀집도를 보여주었다. 서울은 10 km 기준에서 모든 행정구역에서 100%의 서비스 면적 비율을 보여주어 서울의 모든 지역에서 수요가 발생할 수 있음을 나타냈다. 하지만 경북, 전북의 경우 절반 이상의 행정구역에서 0%의 서비스 면적 비율을 보여주었다. 초등학교에서 가장 가까운 소아치과 병·의원까지의 거리를 살펴보았을 때 서울은 평균 3.45 km였으나 경북, 전북은 각각 43.66 km, 40.57 km로 서울에 비해 각각 12.66배, 11.76배에 달하는 평균 거리를 보여주었다.
