  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the validity examination of the J-R curve characteristics for the nuclear reactor pressure vessel steels and Al alloys by the load ratio analysis. The results of the load ratio analysis are compared with those of the J-R curve which are obtained by the ASTM unloading compliance method. The crack length calculated by the load ratio analysis is agree well with the measured final crack length. The slope of the exponential J-R curve estimated by the load ratio analysis is slightly smaller than that by the ASTM unloading compliance method. The J-R curve obtained by the ASTM unloading compliance method is over-predicted and should be offsetted due to the initial negative crack. On the other hand, the load ratio analysis method can evaluate the J-R curve by only load-displacement curve without particular crack measurement equipment.

  • Let R be a right near-ring. An R-group of type-5/2 which is a natural generalization of an irreducible (ring) module is introduced in near-rings. An R-group of type-5/2 is an R-group of type-2 and an R-group of type-3 is an R-group of type-5/2. Using it $J_{5/2}$, the Jacobson radical of type-5/2, is introduced in near-rings and it is observed that $J_2(R){\subseteq}J_{5/2}(R){\subseteq}J_3(R)$. It is shown that $J_{5/2}$ is an ideal-hereditary Kurosh-Amitsur radical (KA-radical) in the class of all zero-symmetric near-rings. But $J_{5/2}$ is not a KA-radical in the class of all near-rings. By introducing an R-group of type-(5/2)(0) it is shown that $J_{(5/2)(0)}$, the corresponding Jacobson radical of type-(5/2)(0), is a KA-radical in the class of all near-rings which extends the radical $J_{5/2}$ of zero-symmetric near-rings to the class of all near-rings.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity. In this paper, we introduce a new class of ideals called the class of strongly quasi J-ideals lying properly between the class of J-ideals and the class of quasi J-ideals. A proper ideal I of R is called a strongly quasi J-ideal if, whenever a, b ∈ R and ab ∈ I, then a2 ∈ I or b ∈ Jac(R). Firstly, we investigate some basic properties of strongly quasi J-ideals. Hence, we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for a ring R to contain a strongly quasi J-ideals. Many other results are given to disclose the relations between this new concept and others that already exist. Namely, the primary ideals, the prime ideals and the maximal ideals. Finally, we give an idea about some strongly quasi J-ideals of the quotient rings, the localization of rings, the polynomial rings and the trivial rings extensions.

  • We have developed technology to fabricate large-size active matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) displays with good color purity. Using these innovations, we have developed a 40inch diagonal WXGA AMOLED full color display. Because the TFT circuitry occupies a large portion of the pixel structure, an efficient white emission OLED is essential to integrate the device onto the active matrix backplane. The development of these technologies enables OLED displays to fulfill the requirements for larger size applications such as HDTVs

  • In this study, the effects of specimen size and side-groove on the results of the J-R test for leak-before-break (LBB) evaluation were investigated. A series of J-R tests were conducted at both RT and $316^{\circ}C$, using three different sizes of compact tension (CT) specimens machined from SA508 Gr.1a piping material: 12.7 mm-thick 1T-CT, 25.4 mm-thick 1T-CT, and 25.4 mm-thick 2T-CT with and without side-groove. The results showed that side-grooving reduced the J-R curve for all specimens and the effect of side-grooving was more significant at $316^{\circ}C$ than at RT. As the thickness of the specimens decreased and the width of the specimens increased, the J-R curve slightly decreased at RT but it increased at $316^{\circ}C$. However, the variation in the J-R curve of SA508 Gr.1a with the thickness and width of CT specimen was insignificant.

  • The goal of this article is to present the graded J-ideals of G-graded rings which are extensions of J-ideals of commutative rings. A graded ideal P of a G-graded ring R is a graded J-ideal if whenever x, y ∈ h(R), if xy ∈ P and x ∉ J(R), then y ∈ P, where h(R) and J(R) denote the set of all homogeneous elements and the Jacobson radical of R, respectively. Several characterizations and properties with supporting examples of the concept of graded J-ideals of graded rings are investigated.

  • A ring $R$ is called semiregular if $R/J$ is regular and idem-potents lift modulo $J$, where $J$ denotes the Jacobson radical of $R$. We give some characterizations of rings $R$ such that idempotents lift modulo $J$, and $R/J$ satisfies one of the following conditions: (one-sided) unit-regular, strongly regular, (unit, strongly, weakly) ${\pi}$-regular.

  • Let R be a commutative ring, M be a Noetherian R-module, and N a 2-absorbing submodule of M such that r(N :R M) = 𝖕 is a prime ideal of R. The main result of the paper states that if N = Q1 ∩ ⋯ ∩ Qn with r(Qi :R M) = 𝖕i, for i = 1, . . . , n, is a minimal primary decomposition of N, then the following statements are true. (i) 𝖕 = 𝖕k for some 1 ≤ k ≤ n. (ii) For each j = 1, . . . , n there exists mj ∈ M such that 𝖕j = (N :R mj). (iii) For each i, j = 1, . . . , n either 𝖕i ⊆ 𝖕j or 𝖕j ⊆ 𝖕i. Let ΓE(M) denote the zero-divisor graph of equivalence classes of zero divisors of M. It is shown that {Q1∩ ⋯ ∩Qn-1, Q1∩ ⋯ ∩Qn-2, . . . , Q1} is an independent subset of V (ΓE(M)), whenever the zero submodule of M is a 2-absorbing submodule and Q1 ∩ ⋯ ∩ Qn = 0 is its minimal primary decomposition. Furthermore, it is proved that ΓE(M)[(0 :R M)], the induced subgraph of ΓE(M) by (0 :R M), is complete.

  • This paper provides a comparison of the J-integral estimation method under combined primary and secondary stress in the R6, RCC-MR A16 code. The comparisons of each code are based on finite element analysis using ABAQUS with regard to the crack shape, crack depth, and magnitude of secondary load. The estimate of the R6 code is conservative near $L_r=1$, and that of the RCC-MR A16 code is conservative near $L_r=0$. As a result, this paper proposes a modified method of J-integral estimation in the R6, RCC_MR A16 code. The J-integral using the modified method corresponds to the finite element analysis result.
