  • Since the 4th industrial revolution was thrown into the world at the Davos World Economic Forum in January 2016, the world has been undergoing major social and economic changes. In this study, the direction of quality management in the 4th industrial revolution era was examined. First, in all the major countries the industrial structural changes and smart business models were confirmed due to the convergence of new ICT such as IoT, robotics, 3D printing, big data, and AI with the existing technologies and industries. Second, we found that although the core technology level of the 4th industrial revolution in Korea is not as good as that of advanced countries, we have been working on expanding smart production methods and creating new industries by utilizing new ICT. Finally, it was confirmed that quality management is a real-time implementation of new ICT that reflects the needs of the market in real time based on big data from the planning and design stage of products or services.

  • Recently, machine learning technology has had a significant impact on society, particularly in the medical, manufacturing, marketing, finance, broadcasting, and agricultural aspects of human lives. In this paper, we study how to apply machine learning techniques to foods, which have the greatest influence on the human survival. In the field of Smart Farm, which integrates the Internet of Things (IoT) technology into agriculture, we focus on optimizing the crop growth environment by monitoring the growth environment in real time. KT Smart Farm Solution 2.0 has adopted machine learning to optimize temperature and humidity in the greenhouse. Most existing smart farm businesses mainly focus on controlling the growth environment and improving productivity. On the other hand, in this study, we are studying how to apply machine learning with respect to harvest time so that we will be able to harvest fruits of the highest quality and ship them at an excellent cost. In order to apply machine learning techniques to the field of smart farms, it is important to acquire abundant voluminous data. Therefore, to apply accurate machine learning technology, it is necessary to continuously collect large data. Therefore, the color, value, internal temperature, and moisture of greenhouse-grown fruits are collected and secured in real time using color, weight, and temperature/humidity sensors. The proposed FPSML provides an architecture that can be used repeatedly for a similar fruit crop. It allows for a more accurate harvest time as massive data is accumulated continuously.

  • As the manufacturing paradigm shifts, various collaborative robots are creating new markets. Demand for collaborative robots is increasing in all industries for the purpose of easy operation, productivity improvement, and replacement of manpower who do simple tasks compared to existing industrial robots. However, accidents frequently occur during work caused by collaborative robots in industrial sites, threatening the safety of workers. In order to construct an industrial site through robots in a human-centered environment, the safety of workers must be guaranteed, and there is a need to develop a collaborative robot guard system that provides reliable communication without the possibility of dispatch. It is necessary to double prevent accidents that occur within the working radius of cobots and reduce the risk of safety accidents through sensors and computer vision. We build a system based on OPC UA, an international protocol for communication with various industrial equipment, and propose a collaborative robot guard system through image analysis using ultrasonic sensors and CNN (Convolution Neural Network). The proposed system evaluates the possibility of robot control in an unsafe situation for a worker.

  • Recently, in response to the Internet age, the demand for hardware devices has been increasing, centering on the rapidly growing smart home field, due to the growth and management of sensor and control technology, mobile application, network traffic, big data management and cloud computing. In order to maintain the sustainable development of the hardware system, it is necessary to update the system, and the hardware device is absolutely necessary in real time processing of complex data (voice, image, etc.) as well as data collection. In this paper, we propose a method to simplify the control and communication method by integrating the hardware devices in two operating systems in a unified structure to solve the simultaneous control and communication method of hardware under different operating systems. The performance evaluation results of the proposed integrated hardware and the cloud control system connected to the cloud server are described and the main directions to be studied in the field of internet smart home are described.

  • The paradigm of military operations has evolved from platform-centric warfare to network-centric warfare and further to information-centric warfare, driven by advancements in information technology. In recent years, with the development of cutting-edge technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT), military operations are transitioning towards knowledge-centric warfare (KCW), based on artificial intelligence. Consequently, the military places significant emphasis on integrating advanced information and communication technologies (ICT) to establish reliable C4I (Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence) systems. This research emphasizes the need to apply data mining techniques to analyze and evaluate various aspects of C4I systems, including enhancing combat capabilities, optimizing utilization in network-based environments, efficiently distributing information flow, facilitating smooth communication, and effectively implementing knowledge sharing. Data mining serves as a fundamental technology in modern big data analysis, and this study utilizes it to analyze real-world cases and propose practical strategies to maximize the efficiency of military command and control systems. The research outcomes are expected to provide valuable insights into the performance of C4I systems and reinforce knowledge-centric warfare in contemporary military operations.

Thereby the quality of living environment and working environment are keep improving. Under the big background of internet era, the timeliness and convenience of smart home system has been improved greatly. While lots of smart products have gradually penetrated into people's daily life. The household appliances are among most popular ones. This paper is intended to compare smart features of household living products among most representative brands in China, Japan and South Korea. The smart features include self-learning, self-adapting, self-coordinating, self-diagnosing, self-inferring, self-organizing, and self adjusting. As result, most smart features of these products showed great similarity. While some features were dominated according to countries such as remote control feature in Korea, energy saving feature in Japan, and one button operation feature in China.

  • In recent years, expansions and advances of the Internet of Things (IoTs) in a distributed MMOGs (massively multiplayer online games) architecture have resulted in massive growth of data in terms of server workloads. We propose a combing Sparse Autoencoder and one of platforms in MMOGs, ProGReGA. In the process of Sparse Autoencoder, data representation with respect to enhancing the feature is excluded from this set of data. In the process of load balance, the graceful degradation of ProGReGA can exploit the most relevant and less redundant feature of the data representation. We find out that the proposed algorithm have become more stable.

  • This study examined ways to improve records management by using the new technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. To do this, we selected four technologies that have a huge impact on the production and management of records such as cloud, big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. We tested these technologies and summarized their concepts, characteristics, and applications. The characteristics of the changed production records were analyzed by each technology. Because of new technology, the production of records has rapidly increased and the types of records have become diverse. With this, there is also a need for solutions to explain the quality of data and the context of production. To effectively introduce each technology into records management, a roadmap should be designed by classifying which technology should be applied immediately and which should be applied later depending on the maturity of the technology. To cope with changes in the characteristics of production records, a flexible data structure must be produced in a standardized format. Public authorities should also be able to procure Software as a Service (SaaS) products and use digital technology to improve the quality of public services.
