  • Recently organizations identify information security as one of essential means for gaining competitive advantage. However, they do not actively increase investment in this area because they consider spending for information security as a cost rather than an investment. This is because organizations don't have a clear understanding of information security objectives which can be achieved through investment, and they don't have criteria for alternatives which can be considered in information security investment decision-making. In this paper we propose to model the decision-making process of information security investment by the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The results will show that availability is the most important criterion for the decision of information security alternatives, and intrusion detection is the most important information security alternative. We hope that the results of this paper provide a guideline for clear decision-making in information security investment.

  • The presented research is devoted to determining the role of the mechanism of attracting investment resources in innovative development in the conditions of transformation using the process approach. It is proved that the process approach is dominant for this study because investments are considered as a process of investing in innovative development in the enterprise in the context of digitalization, and its application allows to take into account the impact on the mechanism of attracting investment resources. related to the mechanism of attracting investment resources of the enterprise. It is substantiated that the mechanism of attracting investment resources for innovative development in the context of digitalization is a specific way of organizing, mobilizing and using investment resources for innovative development of the enterprise in the context of digitalization under the influence of economic development laws, government regulation. The effectiveness of attracting investment resources in innovative development is ensured by the mechanism that exists in the enterprise. The mechanism of attraction of investment resources in innovative development in the conditions of digitalization gives the chance to define an optimum ratio between sources and volume of attraction of investments in innovation sphere.

  • The interest in economics and efficiency of IT investment is growing as the amount of overall organizational IT investment steadily increases. In order to accurately analyze the economics of IT investment, there is a strong need for organization of IT management process and evaluation index, which can be used to determine whether the expenditure incurs effectively for IT investment. This study discusses the prior researches on concepts regarding the analysis of IT investment effect in an organization as proposed from academic and professional perspectives. This study makes contribution in examining the potential issues and their relevant solutions when implementing the management process/system of IT investment based on the case of Company A. We partly try to distinguish the concepts and realities by understanding the core issues involving the IT investment management process/system and make practical suggestions for the companies that plan to implement the efficient IT investment management process/system in the future.

  • Functional metal prototypes are often required in numerous industrial applications. These components are typically needed in the early stage of a project to determine form, fit and function. Recent R/P(Rapid Prototyping) part are made of soft materials such as plastics, wax, paper, these master models cannot be employed durable test in real harsh working environment. Parts by direct metal rapid tooling method, such as laser sintering, by now are hard to get net shape, pores of the green parts of powder casting method must be infiltrated to get proper strength as tool, and new type of 3D direct tooling system combining fabrication welding arc and cutting process is reported. But a system which can build directly 3D parts of high performance functional material as metal park would get long period of system development, massive investment and other serious obstacles, such as patent. In this paper, through the rapid tooling process as silicon rubber molding using R/P master model, and fabricate wax pattern in that silicon rubber mold using vacuum casting method, then we translated the wax patterns to numerous metal tool prototypes by new investment casting process combined conventional investment casting with rapid prototyping & rapid tooling process. With this wax-injection-mold-free investment casting, we developed new investment casting process of fabricating numerous functional metal prototypes from one master model, combined 3-D CAD, R/P and conventional investment casting and tried to expect net shape measuring total dimension shrinkage from R/P pare to metal part.

  • Even though there are growing numbers of IT utilization in many organizations, they are required to use only constrained amount of resources due to the decrease in IT Investment, following economic recession. Besides, the CEOs in those organizations are required to assess how IT Investment, which has been gradually increased during the industrial growth, affects their organizational performances. Thus, they began to enforce IT governance so as to measure IT efficiency and minimize business risks. As a result, they improved the decision making process of IT Investment, enforced IT value assessment, and established the IT Investment-performance evaluation process as well. In this article, I aimed to make it clear how IT Investment affects the IT Performance by analyzing the effects of the factors constituting the IT Investment managing system and the Process Maturity on the User Satisfaction. This analysis can suggest a practical IT Investment-performance model, which can increase organizational performances.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine changes in the household investment planning according to the family life cycle, to improve the household investment planning process, and to develop research model. The results were as follows : Household investment planning varied with stages of the family life cycle because the stock of resources shifted and financial goals changed as the family life cycle stage changed. The main financial goals of family in each stage of the life cycle were the purchasing of house in the establishing stage, children's education and marriage in the extending stage, and the elderly's economic welfare in the diminishing stage. Also, in the Ⅰ & Ⅱ stage the most important investment goals were the purchasing of house, children's education in the Ⅲ stage, children's marriage in the Ⅳ stage, and the elderly's economic welfare in the Ⅴ stage. Therefore, the financial goals were recognized as the important goals underlain the investment-planning goals, and alternatives for the accomplishment of investment-planning goals were determined. The results of this study can contribute to establish the long-run investment planning process and improve the level of household's financial well-being.

  • This study discusses the prior researches on concepts regarding the analysis of IT investment effect in an organization as proposed from academic and professional perspectives. In addition, we looked at the possible issues that fan arise from implementation stage based on the example of development of IT investment management process at Company A. This study makes contribution in examining the potential issues and their relevant solutions when implementing the management process/system of If investment based on the case of Company A. At Company A, there is much knowledge that Is being adopted directly from suggested principles of the academic and professional fields as employee needs and requirements are met in advance. But, there is customized knowledge as well in order to best describe the specific situation. We partly try to distinguish the concepts and realities by understanding the core issues involving the IT investment management process/system and make practical suggestions for the companies that plan to implement the efficient IT investment management process/system in the future.

  • The presented scientific research substantiates the principles of the mechanism of the investment resources involvement in order to introduce innovations at enterprises in the context of digitalization using a resource-functional approach. The importance of attracting investment resources, which contributes to the modernization of production systems, the creation of a stable economic field of development of economic entities, is justified. The expediency of application of the resource-functional approach on research of the mechanism of attraction of investment resources for introduction of innovations at the enterprises in the conditions of digitalization is proved. The investment process is presented in the form of a chain of interdependent processes which include: attraction of investment resources, investments, increase of investment value, profit. It is proved that the mechanism of attracting investment resources for the introduction of innovations in enterprises in the context of digitalization cannot be considered in isolation from the process, due to the fact that the mechanism is aimed at performing specific functions. The functions of the mechanism include management, complex, coordination, monitoring, performance and control functions. Functions of the mechanism of attraction of investment resources for introduction of innovations at the enterprises in the conditions of digitalization are caused by the purposes of attraction of investment resources for innovative development; the presence of an objective nature; relative independence and homogeneity; implementation of functions in the process of investing in innovative activities of the enterprise.
