  • Purpose: To evaluate the accuracy of zirconia copings in terms of clinical verified for the clinical application of CAD/CAM. Methods: Zirconia copings (n=5) were prepared using CAD/CAM system and were sintered using the relevant electrical induction furnace, which uses a 2h sintering program with a maximum temperature of $1500^{\circ}C$. The copings placed at the models and the interval values were measured. Results: The meas interval values between the die and the zirconia copings were $44.14{\mu}m$(A), $44.57{\mu}m$(B), $44.72{\mu}m$(C). 51.05 ${\mu}m$(D). Conclusion: The maximum interval values between the die and the zirconia copings were $51.3{\mu}m$ which is acceptable for clinical use. ${\mu}m$ Proper understanding of the test conditions will help enhancing the accuracy of zirconia coping.

  • For the analysis of survival data including covariates whose effects vary in time, the multiprocess discount survival model is proposed. The parameter vector modeling the time-varying effects of covariates is to vary between time intervals and its evolution between time intervals depends on the perturbation of the next time interval. The recursive estimation of the parameter vector can be obtained at the end of each time interval. The retrospective estimation of the survival function and the forecasting of the survival function of individuals of the specific covariates also can be obtained based on the information gathered until the end of the time interval.

  • The goal of a project manager is generally to minimize the cost of the project and also to cope with uncertainty. This paper deals with the problem of project scheduling a set of activities satisfying precedence constraints in order to minimize the sum of the costs associated with the starting times of the activities in the network with imprecise activity durations, represented by means of interval or fuzzy numbers. So far this problem has been completely solved by several authors when the activities durations have crisp values. However, they do not consider the imprecision in activity durations in their models. Here the framework of possibility theory is proposed to solve this problem. In fuzzy arithmetic, usually, the interval calculations are used for the aim of complexity reduction and simplification. Thus the case of interval-valued durations is first addressed, and then extended to fuzzy intervals. A numerical example is used to illustrate the developed concept.

  • A design method of robust controller for the longitudinal autopilot of BTT missile is considered. The difficulties are a set of linearized dynamic models which corresponds to different operating points has a wide range of parameters and it has even Non-Minimum Phase(NMP) zeros. In this paper, such a family of models is expressed by an interval plant. Then a robust control design method using QFT is represented. A simulation result shows that the proposed controller satisfies the given specification well.

  • In discriminant analysis, we consider a special pattern which contains a block of missing observations. We assume that the two populations are equally likely and the costs of misclassification are equal. In this situation, we consider the bootstrap confidence intervals of the error rate in the circular models when the covariance matrices are equal and not equal.

  • In this paper, we present two methods for obtaining prediction intervals for the times to failure of units censored in multiple stages in a progressively censored sample from proportional hazard rate models. A numerical example and a Monte Carlo simulation study are presented to illustrate the prediction methods.

  • Reaching fault tolerance in technological systems requires to detect malfunctions. This paper presents a diagnostic method that is robust with respect to unknown-but-bounded uncertainties of the dynamical model and the measurements. By using models of the faultless and the faulty behaviours, a state-set observer computes polyhedral sets from which the consistency of the models with the interval measurements is determined. The diagnostic result is proven to be complete, i.e., the set of faults obtained by the diagnostic algorithm includes the actual fault. The algorithm is illustrated by an application example.

  • The principle of the FDM(fused deposition modeling) process is based on the layer by layer manufacturing technology, like other RP(rapid prototyping) process. In the FDM process, each layer may have different shape. Therefore, the built model may have stairs shape on its surface. This stairs shape is one of the serious problems in the FDM process. Thus in this study, cube models and spherical models were fabricated by FDM process to investigate the influence of injection amount on surface roughness. Models with various road width were also built to investigate the influence of road width on surface roughness. Surface roughness of the models was measured and analyzed. The result obtained in this study are expected to help selecting the part build orientation for optimum surface roughness.

  • This paper considers redundancy optimization problems of multi-level systems and reviews existing papers which proposed various optimization models and used different algorithms in this research area. Three different mathematical models are studied: Multi-level redundancy allocation (MRAP), multiple multi-level redundancy allocation, and availability-based MRAP models. Many meta-heuristics are applied to find optimal solutions in the several optimization problems. We summarized key idea of meta-heuristics applied to the existing MARP problems. Two extended models (MRAP with interval reliability of units and an integrated optimization problem of MRAP and preventive maintenance) are studied and further research ideas are discussed.

  • Huge amounts of contents are being uploaded every day on various streaming platforms. Among those videos, game and sports videos account for a great portion. The broadcasting companies sometimes create and provide highlight videos. However, these tasks are time-consuming and costly. In this paper, we propose models that automatically predict highlights in games and sports matches. While most previous approaches use visual information exclusively, our models use both audio and visual information, and present a way to understand short term and long term flows of videos. We also describe models that combine GAN to find better highlight features. The proposed models are evaluated on e-sports and baseball videos.
