This study has examined multiple influences of several variables on parenting behavior by looking into illustrative studies. This study provides support to the view that various factors influence parenting and that parenting behavior is multiply determined. Characteristics of parents, children and the context in which parent-child relations occur cause different childrearing patterns among parents. This study can be summarized as follows: 1) Parental behavior is influenced to a large degree by what the parent brings to the situation. In other words, characteristics of the parent including personality characteristics, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, level of maturity, values and childrearing beliefs contribute to individual differences in parenting. 2) The parent's relationship history influences the personality characteristics that the parent brings to his or her adult roles. To understand who the parent is today, we have to look at who the parent was, and what the parent was doing in the years prior to parenthood. That is, we need to see the life course of the individual before parenthood. 3) Contextual variables including the immediate context and the larger context have proved to influence parental behaviors. Characteristics of the immediate context such as the quality of marital rationship can influence the parent's psychological well-being and his or her behavior toward the childen while characteristics of the larger context such as the economic situation and the neighborhood can influence the level of stress experienced by the parent and cosequently how the parent relates to his or her child. 4) In order to understand the development of the parent-child relationship we need to look at the characteristics of the child. Children may elicit positive behaviors from their parents, or they may possess characteristics that the parents find aversive thus leading to difficulties in the relationship. Therefore, much depends on the fit beween the characteristics of the parents and characteristics of the child. By examining multiple contemporaneous influences on parenting, this study could deepen the understanding of why parents have different childrearing patterns, why some parents fail to meet their children's demands and why parents act in certain ways. What we ultimately hope is that as we learn more about parenting and the development of parent-child relationships, we will be better able to provide parents with the supports they need to achieve their parenting goals.
The purpose of this study is to provide direction of medical education by analysing medical school student's perception structure about 'happy doctor'. In particular, this study compared perception structure between two groups of students before clerkship and after clerkship. The subject of this study were 1~4 academic year students in medical school. Students' text about 'happy doctor' were collected by open-ended questionnaire and analyzed by using sematic network analysis. Based on the result of network analysis, perception structure of each groups were confirmed. The network of each groups have 'Professionalism' group including words such as 'patient', 'treatment', 'worthwhile' in common. Three groups, 'Professionalism', 'Quality of life' and 'Self-realization' constituted the before clerkship network. And five groups, 'Professionalism', 'Time with family', 'Balance between work and household', 'Interpersonal relationship', 'Physical and psychological health' constituted the after clerkship network. The results of this study is expected to contribute for developing the basic medical education curriculum for 'happy doctor'.
This study aimed to find ways to reduce self-censorship by identifying the conflict and attribution to the motivation for self-censorship during the curriculum of the College of Arts. The analysis confirmed the significance of each relationship by conducting a correlation and regression analysis between the variables, and the analysis of the effects was based on the significant factors among them. The analysis showed the external locus of control toward self-censorship and interpersonal conflict had a partial mediation effect. In other words, as the degree of conflict in the educational environment increases, art college students are aware of the cause of the problem due to external characteristics such as others, task difficulty, etc., and thus confirmed the conclusion that frustration and shame caused by it become the motive for self-censorship.
Purpose: This quasi-experimental study used a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design with clinical nurses to develop a compassion improvement program and verify its effects on compassion competence and empathic communication. Methods: The Triandis Interpersonal Behavior model (Triandis, 1980) was used as a theoretical framework, and a compassion improvement program was developed based on the ADDIE model. The experimental treatment in the program was conducted for 120 minutes per session, once a week, for a total of six sessions. The data collection and research period ranged from September 7 to November 16. It involved a pre-survey of measured variables, six sessions of experimental treatment, a post-survey, and a follow-up survey in sequence. The collected data were analyzed using the statistical program SPSS/WIN 25.0 and then based on a t-test and repeated measures ANOVA to verify the effectiveness of the program. Results: Clinical nurses participating in the compassion improvement program showed improved compassion competence (F=8.00, p=.001) due to the cultivation of insight, sensitivity, and communication skills. In addition, the improvement in attentive listening (F=3.32, p=.024) indicated that the program was partially effective in empathic communication. Conclusion: The compassion improvement program for clinical nurses, which was developed in this study, is expected to be useful in nursing practice. In other words, the compassion improvement program may contribute to creating a positive atmosphere in the workplace for nurses and an empathic relationship between nurses and healthcare recipients through improvement in the compassion competence of nurses. If the compassion improvement program is continuously implemented as a facilitating condition, it will greatly help prevent the turnover of clinical nurses, assist them in adapting to hospital life, and enhance the quality of nursing care.
One of the most common feelings in everyday life is anger. Anger plays an important role in activating emotional energy and increasing intolerance when confronted with hardships, frustration and improper treatments. And it provides us with controlling interpersonal behavior, organizing internal, physiological, psychological process and various adaptive functions. If anger is not properly expressed, it brings about offensive attitude, leading to not only physical impairment but also anxiety in interpersonal relations and maladaptive to everyday life. For elementary school students, frequent quarrels, abusive words and defiant attitude toward adults are also caused by students' anger. Therefore, students' anger is one of the most difficult problems to be dealt with not only psychologically but also in elementary schools. In this respect, after investigating frequently experienced anger- inducing situations and inventing anger-inducing situation questionnaire, we postulated specific situations changing irrational belief into rational one. Based on these situations, we accounted for how to cope with anger inducing factors and change irrational belief into rational one, introducing several strategies needed to control anger, invented cognitive behavioral anger control program and tried to clarify the relationship between anger inducing experience and anger regulation ability. In order to derive usual anger-inducing situations, we made 180 students with fifth and sixth grade to record the reason why he/she got angry, mood, thought, behavior and result. Through this process, we could derive 47 situations bringing about anger and prepared anger-inducing situation questionnaire. It can be divided into 3 anger inducing situations by using factor analysis into 500 elementary students of fifth and sixth grade. Cognitive behavioral anger control program used in this study consists of 13 sessions. From first to fifth session, it is composed of 10 anger control methods to make students be aware of and control their anger. From sixth through thirteenth session, the relationship between irrational belief and anger inducing is introduced is focused on how irrational belief is changed into rational one. To examine the effects of the program, high anger students and the students lacking anger control are selected. Thirty students through pre-test using anger-inducing questionnaire and anger control ability questionnaire are taught the goals and procedures. Volunteer students and students with parents' consent allocated to experimental group (12 students) and the rest of the students are control group (12 students). Cognitive Behavioral Anger Control Program are applied every 50 minutes twice a week for 7 weeks and 4 weeks before and after this program, anger-inducing situation questionnaire and anger control ability questionnaire are practiced. Data collected in this study analyzed by SPSS and Kwakstat. In the middle of this program, quarterly reports and satisfaction measuratings were evaluated to examine whether there is verbal and non-verbal behavior change and students feel satisfied with the program. The results of this study are as follows: First, Cognitive-behavioral anger control program used in this study effectively reduced anger experience and lasted for 4 weeks. Second, cognitive behavioral anger control program increased students' ability to control anger inducing situations and also effective for 4 weeks. And its effect on verbal and non-verbal behaviour was very impressive Students come to realize that irrational belief is the cause of their anger and actively apply cognitive-behavioral anger control technique to themselves as well. Students became improved in their peer relations and felt confident in everyday life. The overall evaluation of this program can be listed as follows; "very satisfactory (91.67%)", "satisfactory (8.33%)", "very helpful (91.67%)", "helpful (8.33%). In this study we first investigated several anger-inducing situations and invented anger-inducing situation questionnaire and then applied cognitive behavioral anger control program in order to control their. anger and not to experience it. By creating workbooks and manuals this method can easily be used in school education settings.

This study was conducted to figure out characteristics of the children of problematic drinkers by reviewing the studies on those children reported in nursing studies in Korea and incorporating the results. The research method was integrated literature review, and for the study, eleven articles were selected by searching with key words such as 'problematic drinking', 'alcoholic', 'alcohol dependence', 'children', and 'nursing' in three research databases, spanning between 2000 and 2014. The research results are as follows: For the domestic nursing studies on the children of problematic drinkers, there were many descriptive research using survey method, requiring introduction of various research methods in order to know characteristics and lives of the children of problematic drinkers in depth. For main characteristics of the children of problematic drinkers, they have lower ability to cope with, many of them suffer from psychological and mental health problems, are very sensitive in interpersonal relationships with higher hostility. In addition, it is reported that the children of problematic drinkers are likely to have more problematic drinking, show higher depression and lower emotional perception and expression, social support, and social competence. Based on the results of this study, considering the fact that there are extremely few studies on the children of problematic drinkers, it requires more active studies and researches in nursing. Through the study with accurate results, it will contribute to nurses' capability in both clinical settings and local community as a guideline.

This study used a structured questionnaire to analyze the effects of oral habits and stress on temporomandibular disorders in high school students. A total of 339 students attending high schools in Ulsan agreed to participate in the study. Data was analyzed using the SPSS Statistics ver. 18.0 for Windows program, t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation, and regression analysis. Our results reveal that the temporomandibular disorder index is statistically correlated with the oral habit index, school life stress index, family life stress index, interpersonal stress index, and egosphere stress index (p≤0.01). The oral habit index had maximum influence on the temporomandibular disorder index. Moreover, higher the stress level in egosphere stress, greater significant differences were observed in the temporomandibular disorder index (p≤0.01). In other words, persistence of oral habits and non-addressal of stress increased the likelihood of experiencing temporomandibular disorders in adulthood. This was determined by the regression formula Y (temporomandibular disorder index) = 2.563 + 0.550X1 (oral habit index) + 0.134X2 (egosphere stress index). Thus, bad oral habits and stress in adolescence can be the potential cause of jaw joint disorders in adulthood. We believe that measures are needed to actively recognize and improve oral habits, and properly cope with stress during adolescence.
Purpose - This study aimed to (a) investigate the effects of emotional intelligence on customer orientation, (b) examine the impact of customer orientation on customer relationship management (CRM) performance (including CRM-related variables such as 'relationship commitment,' 'image of corporation,' and 'customer loyalty'), and (c) identify the conceptual framework of emotional intelligence. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected using a questionnaire given to a sample of employees of luxury hotels in the metropolitan area. To test the hypotheses, AMOS were conducted for the 271 respondents of the sample using the SPSS Win 17.0 software. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar of many leaders and managers over the past few decades. Emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thoughts, and interactions with others. Emotional intelligence consists of four factors: understanding the self's emotion, understanding other people's emotions, emotion utilization, and emotion control. Understanding the self's emotion means to understand of my own emotions. Understanding other people's emotions is to understand of the emotions of the people around me and to know how my friends feel based on their behavior. The concept of emotion utilization means to set goals for myself and then try to achieve them, encouraging myself to do my best. The concept of emotion control means I can control my temper, handle difficult situations rationally, and calm down quickly when I am very angry. Results - As a result of the analysis, three factors (understanding the self's emotion, understanding of other people's emotions, and emotion utilization) were shown to have a significant effect on customer orientation. Emotion control had an insignificant effect on customer orientation. Only emotion control makes it difficult to solve customers' problems because it is a passive behavior. In order to solve the customers' problems, hotel employees have to show a positive attitude. Second, customer orientation had a significant effect on customer relationship management performance (customer relationship commitment, corporate image, and customer loyalty). In other words, customer orientation increases commitment to customer relationships. For example, employees who have a customer-orientated perspective provide good service to their customers, while employees who don't have a customer-orientated perspective can't satisfy their customers. Customer orientation can also generate a good image among customers, because they evaluate the image of a hotel through the behavior of hotel employees. So it is very important for employees to show excellent customer orientation. Conclusions - It is very important for hotel CEOs to manage their employees' emotional intelligence. In order to increase their employees' emotional intelligence abilities, CEOs have to manage the overall corporate culture and reward programs to achieve what they want. This is because the system can lead to a customer-orientated mind-set and CRM performance among employees. As a result, the hotel CEO has to pay attention to the emotional intelligence of employees to achieve strong CRM performance. The sentence as originally written was a bit unclear. If this edit does not retain your intended meaning please consider: "Only emotion control does not have a significant impact on customer orientation, and therefore on the ability of an employee to solve customer problems, because it is a passive behavior." Please use the version of the sentence that best captures your original meaning.
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of the leisure constraint of a private security guard on his/her task stress and life satisfaction. The subjects of this study were chosen among the private security guards working in Seoul based private security firms in 2009, and by going through judgement sampling, 300 cases were applied in the final analysis. Collected data went through factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis by using SPSSWIN 17.0. In reference with the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach's $\alpha$ was over .600. The conclusion of this study is as following. Firstly, the leisure constraint of a private security guard affects his/her task stress. In other words, when peripheral and individual constraint increase, task stress is intensified, while task stress winds down when interpersonal constraint decreases. Secondly, the leisure constraint of a private security guard affects life satisfaction. That is, when individual constraint goes down, life satisfaction is improved. Thirdly, the task stress of a private security guard affects life satisfaction. when compensation and career development increase, life satisfaction rises. On the other hand when task characteristic is weakened, life satisfaction gets lower. Fourthly, the leisure constraint of a private security guard has a causal influence on task stress and life satisfaction. Accordingly, it becomes apparent that the task stress is a significant variable which intermediates the relation between leisure constraint and life satisfaction.
A service involves a human interaction between a consumer (customer) and a provider (service worker). In particular, services in today's intangible economy are understood as creative activities that exercise human capital as related goods. Since most service activities are human activities, not objects, they depend on direct interaction between users and service workers, and funeral services are understood as human activities provided by service providers to service targets (deceased, families, condolences). In other words, the funeral service is a service for the deceased, survivors, and condolences in a special situation of death, and can be viewed as a human activity that is exerted by the integration of the interactions between service workers, survivors, and condolences. Functions of funeral services expand for convenience of consumers through the smooth provision of funeral supplies and a variety of complex interpersonal services so that the deceased can perform solemn funeral ceremonies. In this study, the concept and role of funeral services were studied in order to find the direction of funeral services centering for next of kin(families) and condolences, who are the subjects of services from a service-oriented logic perspective. In order to derive meaningful results of people-centered funeral services, funeral services and funeral supplies are classified from the perspective of dynamic resources, guarantees consumers a wide range of funeral choice, and customer dissatisfaction and improvement requests are handled transparently. It suggested a possible plan. Now, in order to improve the quality of life, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the quality of funeral services that improve the quality of death.
