  • We, ICOMM(Information Center Of Machinery & Materials), make efforts to apply the EC to support the Internet Marketing for Small and Medium Enterprises, and at the base of experience are carrying out diffusing the internet minds, applying the CALS, searching the internet information, education for internet and supporting the EC-hosting to count of first importance for 6,000 Manufacturing Industries located in KYOUNGNAM. Traditional Business-to-Business depends on the EDI by using VAN. As the Internet is lively and the Internet users incredibly increasing, the total marketing strategies of Enterprises are cyberized, and Enterprises try finding the new business partner by using Internet technologies, At the base of this Environments, this paper proposes the Internet Marketing Server (that is called EC-Business Server) that consists of the staging server to establish the Mall, the search engine for resembled manufactured goods, and so on. EC-Business Server supports Business-to-Business as in electronic commerce.

Face Detction Using Face Geometry (얼굴 기하에 기반한 얼굴 검출 알고리듬)

  • This paper presents a fast algorithm for face detection from color images on internet. We use Mahalanobis distance between standard skin color and actual pixel color on IQ color space to segment skin color regions. The skin color regions are the candidate face region. Further, the locations of eyes and mouth regions are found by computing average pixel values on horizontal and vertical pixel lines. The geometry of mouth and eye locations is compared to the standard face geometry to eliminate false face regions. Our Method is simple and fast so that it can be applied to face search engine for internet.

  • Extensible Storage Engine (ESE) database is a database developed by Microsoft. This database is used in web browser like Internet Explorer, Spartan and in Windows system with Windows Search, System Resource Usage Monitor. Previous ESE database viewer can display an incorrect result and can't read the file depending on collected environment and status of files. And the deleted record recovery tool is limited to some program and cannot recover all tables. This paper suggests the universal recovery method for deleted records and presents the experimental results through development of tool.

  • Recently, due to the increasing demand for mobile devices, mobile searching market is rapidly growing. However, there is the limit of screen size, when searching for mobile devices, various results should be shown at a glance. The reason is that results are important given that up to 43 percent of people tend to check only first page. In this paper, a set of keywords for searching will be used to find out the users' interests. Users were divided into groups after going through Collaboration filtering. Therefore, the result of this experiment, reduced time for searching and improved quality of searching were confirmed.

  • This study aims to design the structure of User Interface Agent System through finding out the user's intention on internet search engine. When building an agent system by using the intelligent method. we can Introduce the RBR system that is generally accepted as an efficient means of solving the problems in Interface Agent System. The RBR system turned out to be a success due to the modularity, uniformity naturalness and the like, but it also has various problems such as bottle-neck in knowledge acquisition, memory absence and limited application. To get rid of such problems, the CBR cycle was introduced in this study.

  • The Internet today is teemed with not only text data but also other media such as sound, still and moving images in a variety of formats. Unlike text, however, that can be retrieved easily with the help of numerous search engines, there has been few way to access data of other media unless the exact location or the URL is known. Multimedia data in the WWW are contained in or linked via anchors in the hyper-documents. They can most reliably be retrieved by analyzing the binary data content, which is far from being practical yet by the current state of the art. Instead we present another technique of searching based on textual descriptions which are found at or around the multimedia objects. The textual description used in this research includes file name (URL), anchor text and its context, alternative descriptions found in ALT HTML tage. These are actually the clues assumedly relevant to the contents. Although not without a possibility of missing or misinterpreting images and sounds, the description-based search is highly practical in terms of computation. The prototype search engine will soon be deployed to the public service through the prestige search engine, InfoDetective, in Korea.

  • Caching in meta-search engines can improve the response time of users' request. We describe the cache scheme in our meta-search engine in terms of its architecture and operational flow. In particular, we propose a popularity-driven cache algorithm that utilizes popularities of queries to determine cached data to be purged. The popularity is a value that represents the normalized occurrence frequency of user queries. This paper presents how to collect popular queries and how to calculate query popularities. An empirical performance evaluation of the popularity-driven caching with the traditional schemes (i.e., least recently used (LRU) and least frequently used (LFU)) has been carried out on a collection of real data. In almost all cases, the proposed replacement policy outperforms LRU and LFU.

  • Recently, the component technology has played a main role in software reuse. It has changed the code-based reuse into the binary code-based reuse, because components can be easily combined into the developing software only through component interfaces. Since components and component users have increased rapidly, it is necessary that the users of components search for the most proper components for HTML among the enormous number of components on the Internet. It is desirable to use web-document-typed specifications for component specifications on the Internet. This paper proposes to use XML component specifications instead of HTML specifications, because it is impossible to represent the semantics of contexts using HTML. We also propose the XML context-search method based on XML component specifications. Component users use the contexts for the component properties and the terms for the values of component properties in their queries for searching components. The index structure for the context-based search method is the inverted file indexing structure of term-context-component specification. Not only an XML context-based search method but also a variety of search methods based on context-based search, such as keyword, search, faceted search, and browsing search method, are provided for the convenience of users. We use the 3-layer architecture, with an interface layer, a query expansion layer, and an XML search engine layer, of the search engine for the efficient index scheme. In this paper, an XML DTD(Document Type Definition) for component specification is defined and the experimental results of comparing search performance of XML with HTML are discussed.

  • This study is aimed to grasp the organization of Internet information resources and to infer the characteristics of resource search engines so that criteria may be established to classify and evaluate Internet information resources. In addition, the author has compared and analyzed interior design classification systems of directory sites of each subject that provide classification system based on the Internet, foreign sites to be used to search for information, and domestic information-specialized sites in order to set up models of interior design classification systems of directories of each Web subject. The systems have been analyzed against such four measures as comprehensiveness of the subject scope, logicality of classification systems, preciseness of subject terms, and effectiveness of searches. Information of interior designs is mixed with that of related fields, and so its information search and classification are not organized systematically. The author has analyzed such a problem so as to present models of search engine classification systems for interior design information classification after considering both academic and practical aspects.

  • The core technique of ubiquitous computing is the context aware computing and the context aware technique is more like software so the important research work is to develop the core engines first and the adapted device for the engines. When ubiquitous computing era comes, the current existing internet shopping mall, the form of searching the direct goods and ordering the goods by the customers evolves and develops the form of system that recommends the goods by the search engine which combined with the input data and technique of case based reasoning and intelligent agent that is based on the context aware technique. In this paper, search engine which is based on the case based reasoning and intelligent agent is designed and the prototype is implemented to be adapted to the internet fashion expert shopping mall.
