With skyrocketing number of people who use smartphone, the technology of wireless internet that is mobile-phone, Wi-Fi, Wibro, HSDPA has been developed remarkably. The environment that one can use wireless internet easily and inexpensively anywhere has been made. So, the customer of railway have needs and desire that could use the wireless internet network as travelling in rolling-stock. Although KTX, KTX-II and some subway agency has built-up wireless internet network and serviced it, it's closed infra and inconvenient environment has been criticized. So, we survey the wireless internet network that is serviced at present and the way to build wirelee internet infra to satisfy the needs of customers.

We have designed an Internet voting system applicable for worldwide voting which is based on Ohkubo et. al,'s scheme[9] combined with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first trial to serve secure Internet voting system to the world. In our system, voter's privacy is guaranteed by using blind signature and mix-net, and robustness is provided through the threshold encryption scheme. By employing Java technology, we propose a way of typical implementation for internet voting system. Furthermore, PKI permits worldwide key distribution and achieve “one certificate/one vote” policy. Therefore, anyone can participate in the voting if he gets a certificate from Certificate Authority (CA). By the joint work between Korean and Japanese teams, the implementation aims to select MVPs in 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea-Japan$\^$TM/ in easy and friendly manner for any Internet user to participate and enjoy Internet voting.

The explosive growth of the Internet brought serious problems to the Internet routing infrastructure. Especially scaling problems is recognized more seriously. The ever increasing user population, as well as multiple other factors including multi-homing, traffic engineering, and policy routing, have been driving the growth of Default Free Zone (DFZ) routing table size at an alarming rate. While it has been long recognized that the existing routing architecture may have serious scalability problems, effective solutions have yet to be identified, developed, and deployed. Recently, several attempts for finding the concrete problems are made. Especially the report of the routing and addressing workshop which the IAB (Internet Architecture Board) held on 2006 is described the problems of the current internet in detail. This document describes those problems and introduces the related activity to solve the problems.

There is a considerable gap in the level of the Internet access charges among countries because of the history of the Internet use, current status of the Internet infrastructure, the Internet penetration rate, and so on. Low Internet access charge increases the number of the Internet users and the Internet penetration rate, which boosts economic activities. This paper empirically explores the impacts of the internet access charges on economic activities using a cross-country analysis based on data from 76 countries for the year 1998-2001. To this end, several versions of the neoclassical growth models, explicitly including the internet access charges, are estimated with the GDP used for a proxy for economic activities and the level of Internet access charges considered as an input to production. Subject to the appropriate caveats, the results show that the level of the Internet access charges make a significantly negative effect on economic activities. In other words, it is concluded that low Internet access charges of a county increase economic activities and the increased economic activities in turn raise the real income of the county.

The Domain Name System (DNS) is a critical Internet infrastructure that provides name to address mapping services. In the past decade, Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks have targeted the DNS infrastructure and threaten to disrupt this critical service. While the flooding DoS attacks may be alleviated by the DNS caching mechanism, we show in this paper that flooding DoS attacks utilizing name error queries is capable of bypassing the cache of resolvers and thereby impose overwhelming flooding attacks on the name servers. We analyze the impacts of such DoS attacks on both name servers and resolvers, which are further illustrated by May 19 China's DNS Collapse. We also propose the detection and defense approaches for protecting DNS servers from such DoS attacks. In the proposal, the victim zones and attacking clients are detected through monitoring the number of corresponding responses maintained in the negative cache. And the attacking queries can be mitigated by the resolvers with a sample proportion adaptive to the percent of queries for the existent domain names. We assess risks of the DoS attacks by experimental results. Measurements on the request rate of DNS name server show that this kind of attacks poses a substantial threat to the current DNS service.

전 세계적으로 초고속 인터넷 망의 확충과 스마트폰의 보급에 따라 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 장점을 극대화 할 수 있는 시대가 도래 하였다. 본 연구에서는 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 활용한 모바일 환경에서의 의료영상 볼륨 렌더링 아키텍처를 제안한다. 해당 아키텍처는 값 비싼 워크스테이션 서버와 스토리지를 대체하기 위해 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스 중 하나인 IaaS(Infrastructure as a Service)를 사용한다. 그리고 모바일 하드웨어의 제약에서 벗어나 안정적인 렌더링을 위해 WebGL을 이용한 가시화 방법을 제안한다. 이번 연구를 통해서 모바일 환경에서의 효율적인 의료영상 볼륨 렌더링 서비스에 적용될 수 있는 기초 연구가 될 수 있기를 기대한다.

정보화 시대가 도래함에 따라 세계 각국의 많은 나라들이 전자정부 구현에 많은 관심을 가지고 있으며, 이미 몇몇 선도 국가들은 다양한 민원서비스 및 행정서비스를 인터넷에서 국민들에게 편리하게 제공하고 있다. 인터넷을 통한 전자정부 서비스는 보다 많은 편리성을 제공하는 반면에 중요한 개인정보나 국가기밀이 누출될 수 있는 보안 취약점을 가지고 있기 때문에 많은 국가들이 개인정보를 보호하기 위해 보안 인프라를 구축하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 여러 선도국가들의 전자정부 구축동향을 알아보고 안전하고 신뢰성 있는 전자정부 서비스를 제공하기 위해 필요한 보안요구사항을 제시한다.

The LED technology advancement introduce cuttingedge technology on Internet of Things (IoT) to connect the physical world to the digital realm, using digital smart lighting infrastructure called Internet of light (IoL). This paper proposes an Integrated IoT agent on networked smart LED lighting controller called IoL Filed Gateway using lighting infrastructure in which a lighting system that can connect to a network and can be monitored and controlled from a centralized system or via the cloud. The IoL Field Gateway defines new world of smart connected intelligence, lighting can become an integral and responsive part of everyday human life environments. The proposed connected lighting gateway uses the concept of multi-hop ad hoc network using visible light communication (VLC) with RF wireless technologies and Wired PLC (Power Line Communication). This connectivity and intelligence integrated into LED-based luminaires form the backbone of smart buildings and cities and make the Internet of Things (IoT) vision feasible and enables the lighting administrator can control numerous lightings easily and visitors can get visual information from the lightings with their smart devices. The proposed IoL gateway design is emulated on Arduino based HW platform with VLC, RF, and PLC connectivity and evaluated with four sensor interface.
