Recently, the web index of Korea peaked at the top 10 among the eighty six countries, and Korea became the only Asian country ranked at the top level. Korea also has been on the top in the field of Internet penetration rate, in terms of both high-speed broadband and wireless Internet. However, such achievements did not guarantee the national level for the effective use of information utilizing Internet. According to OECD, the national informatization index of Korea has not been free from the middle of the OECD countries. Despite of the heightened pressure in practically enhancing effective information use utilizing Internet, the previous research interests and efforts to develop the Internet-related framework or to identify Internet capabilities rarely existed. The study aims to propose the framework, named "Internet Information Orientation" that illustrates the relationship between Internet capabilities and national competitiveness on Internet. The research identified the specific Internet capabilities, reclassified the capabilities based on the research issues provided at the 6^th international conference on Internet held in December 2014, and finally described the rigorous research endeavors on the issues. As a result, 16 papers presented and selected as the outstanding papers at the conference handle issues to be brought together, which include: Wireless Network, Internet of Things, Green Computing, Multimedia Processing, Big Data and Text Mining, Database in Cloud Environment, Business Intelligence, Software Engineering, IT Strategy & Policy, and Social Network Services.

In spite of proliferating E-business success stories, many executives urge that they have not realized the return expected from investments in Internet-based E-business systems, Most of businesses tend to focus on immediate financial payoffs and overlook the improvements in information capabilities and business performance, The purpose of the research is to investigate the effects of Internet-based E-business systems on organizations' information capabilities, business performance, and financial performance, and to illustrate the roles and values of the systems in achieving business goals. Findings illustrate that when an organization's information capabilities are enhanced by Internet-based E-business systems, business performance tends to improve. In addition, the study implies that the business performance improvement may create consumer benefits, which would be indispensable factors to make a profit.

As smartphone users grow, mobile operators are trying to standardize and commercialize Rich Communication Suite (RCS), which is a next-generation messaging service, so that it can replace legacy messaging services. However, it is not enough to spread RCS widely to the users only by publishing an RCS app. To increase the use of RCS, a web-based open API for common RCS capabilities is needed. By using the API, Internet-based developers can create applications that make use of the RCS capabilities with less effort and time. This paper proposes a lightweight Comet-based open API to allow mobile operators to expose useful information and capabilities to application developers. The system architecture of the open API framework and call flow between relevant nodes are defined. In addition, examples of protocol translations on the framework are provided.

This study is to investigate how mobile internet service users recognize that Wibro service providers should be equipped with what type of organizational capabilities. Especially. this stud y, in exploratory point of view, examines the recognition is differed by characteristics of Wibro service users. This study also is to suggest a few of research propositions regarding the relations hips between organizational capabilities and characteristics of Wibro service users from various statistical analyses. To accomplish these research purposes, this study defined characteristics of Wibro service users (sender, age, job) and organizational capabilities of Wibro service provide rs ( accounting/finance capabilities, production/service capabilities, marketing/sales capabilities. research and development/technology capabilities) based on the review of past mobile interne t service related studies. And then, this study performed not only questionnaire survey on latent Wibro service users but also various statistical analyses.

With rapid advances in IT and introduction to the concept of business process reengineering, many companies have used tremendous resources in implementing ERP systems to improve cost saving and operational efficiency, However, researchers and IT professionals have not clearly explained the roles and values of ERP systems in achieving business objectives. The purpose of the research is to analyze the differences of organizations' performances based on the organizations' ERP readiness, and to identify the roles of ERP systems in enhancing the organizatons' information capabilities and improving business performances, The findings illustrate that ERP systems implementation do not guarantee business performance improvements, and imply that the implementation of ERP systems is likely to enhance organizations' information capabilities, and information capabilities enhanced by the implementation of ERP systems can improve business performances.

Korea came to see its first internet bank as 'K bank' obtained the digital-only banking license in December 2016. This paper suggests ways to foster internet banks of Korea in their early stage by analyzing the successful cases of overseas internet banks. The followings are the key success factors identified from those cases across Europe, Japan, China, and USA: Support from the related government authorities; Stable governance structure; Distinct business capabilities based on information & communications technology(ICT). These points lead to the following implications for Korean internet banks. Regulatory restrictions on owning and running internet banks should be lifted to facilitate innovation. Policies to support internet bank industry should be introduced as it is a vital part of the 4th industrial revolution. Finally, internet banks should strive to differentiate themselves by utilizing their ICT capabilities. Subjects of the further research hereafter should include the following: Analyzing the ongoing performance and developments of digital banks in Korea; Deriving success factors from the analysis; Assessing the influence and effects on financial market and economic environment.

Production innovation capabilities are critical to the survival and growth of firms. This paper investigates industrial dynamics and dynamic capabilities of firms by looking at how an industry evolution process influences firms' product innovation strategy and how dynamic capabilities affect firms' product innovation process. Korea Wireless Internet industry shows a full cycle of industry evolution process including introduction phase, growth phase, maturity phase, and decline phase using by dynamic technological and market changes. 7 listed companies in Korea Wireless Internet industry were selected. We have conducted multiple case studies based upon in depth interviews. Empirical results show that different phases of industry evolution influence firms' strategy of product innovation. Dynamic capabilities are also appears to be very important to the survival and growth of a firm.

Discovery is an emerging concept to enhance the search capabilities of library resources with the Next Generation Library Catalog. This paper defined the Discovery feature based on the information search behavior, and then derived the elements that make up its function. After that, the 11 regional representatives libraries' OPACs and 3 Internet bookstores are evaluated and compared against Search & Discovery capabilities. As a result, the Internet bookstores were superior to the libraries' OPACs for all the elements that make up the Discovery functions. This study verified that the public libraries OPACs are still concentrating on known item search, and it is hard for the users to meet a serendipity which is gained through the Discovery functions.

Driven by security and real-time demands of Internet of Things (IoT), the timing of fog computing and edge computing have gradually come into place. Gateways bear more nearby computing, storage, analysis and as an intelligent broker of the whole computing lifecycle in between local devices and the remote cloud. In fog computing, the edge broker requires X-aware capabilities that combines software programmability, stream processing, hardware optimization and various connectivity to deal with such as security, data abstraction, network latency, service classification and workload allocation strategy. The prosperous of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) pushes the possibility of gateway capabilities further landed. In this paper, we propose a software-defined gateway (SDG) scheme for fog computing paradigm termed as Fog Computing Zero-Knowledge Gateway that strengthens data protection and resilience merits designed for industrial internet of things or highly privacy concerned hybrid cloud scenarios. It is a proxy for fog nodes and able to integrate with existing commodity gateways. The contribution is that it converts Privacy-Enhancing Technologies rules into provable statements without knowing original sensitive data and guarantees privacy rules applied to the sensitive data before being propagated while preventing potential leakage threats. Some logical functions can be offloaded to any programmable micro-controller embedded to achieve higher computing efficiency.

The rapid proliferation of wireless networks provides a ubiquitous channel for delivering instructional materials at the convenience of the user. By delivering content through portable devices linked to the Internet, the full spectrum of multimedia capabilities is available for engaging the user's interest. This capability encompasses not only text but images, video, speech generation and voice recognition. Moreover, the incorporation of machine learning capabilities at the source provides the ability to tailor the material to the general level of expertise of the user as well as the immediate needs of the moment: for instance, a request for information regarding a particular city might be covered by a leisurely presentation if solicited from the home, but more tersely if the user happens to be driving a car. This paper presents system architecture to support mobile instruction in conjunction with knowledge-based tutoring capabilities. For concreteress, the general concepts are examined in the context of a system for mathematics education on the Web.
