A new password authentication scheme using two-way password in Smartphone Banking (이중 패스워드 방식을 이용한 스마트폰 뱅킹 관리)

  • Smart Phone devices offer convenience for users, but present a new set of security issues due to loss or malicious code. In this paper, a mobile cloud system environment is used with existing smart phones in an attempt to solve the problems in a banking environment. In order to prevent financial damages due to loss or personal information leakage by malicious code, a mobile cloud computing service that provides control and protection of personal information in environment that ensures individual authentication is used. Existing ID / Password with certificate, with the way smart phone dual password authentication scheme using the gyro sensors proposed.

  • This study aims to present a direction for securing continuous growth and confidence, centering on two Internet banking companies that started recently. The banking market has been rewriting the history since the emergence of Internet professional banks. In order to improve the credibility and promote the development of the Internet professional banks, I conducted a questionnaire survey and In Depth Interview. As a result of this survey, the overall reliability is still low, and the factors affecting reliability are: 1.Security problem 2.Discomfort of customer service 3.Errors and unnecessary services. This is a start-up business, so the awareness and reliability can be changed soon. Therefore, it is necessary to continue research on this according to the changing user's perception.

  • The purpose of this study is to try to IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) by applying text mining approaches to user review data for korea mobile banking applications, and to derive priorities for improvement. User review data on mobile banking applications of korea commercial banks (Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Woori Bank, Hana Bank), local banks (Gyeongnam Bank, Busan Bank), and Internet banks (Kakao Bank, K-Bank, Toss) that gained from Google playstore were used. And LDA topic modeling, frequency analysis, and sentiment analysis were used to derive key attributes and measure the importance and satisfaction of each attribute. Result, although 'Authorizing service', 'Improvement of Function', 'Login', 'Speed/Connectivity', 'System/Update' and 'Banking Service' are relatively important attributes when users use mobile banking applications, their satisfaction is not at the average level, indicating that improvement is urgent.

On the Security of Public-Key-Certificate-Relay Protocol for Smart-Phone Banking Services (스마트폰뱅킹을 위한 공인인증서 복사 프로토콜의 취약점 분석)

  • Most of banks in Korea provide smartphone banking services. To use the banking service, public key certificates with private keys, which are stored in personal computers, should be installed in smartphones. Many banks provides intermediate servers that relay certificates to smartphones over the Internet, because the transferring certificates via USB cable is inconvenient. In this paper, we analyze the certificate transfer protocol between personal computer and smartphone, and consider a possible attack based on the results of the analysis. We were successfully able to extract a public key certificate and password-protected private key from encrypted data packets. In addition, we discuss several solutions to transfer public key certificates from personal computers to smartphones safely.

  • Non-face-to-face real name verification policy that financial authorities announced, in order to secure a face-to-face or more of accuracy, are in principle of multi check. The business model and legal entities of Internet banks is different from existing Internet banking. Relpacing real name verification from face-to-facd to non-face-to-face while maintaining the structure of identification can not only cause inconvenience to a first time member, but also can be more vulnerable to verious security risks. In this study, to evaluate a service level of a bank of the Internet, and provide an improved identification of the structure such that the registration and use of differentiated services is performed in accordance with the evaluation. In addition, the security that may occur with respect to Bank of the Internet to establish a vulnerability and attack model, the results of the analysis of the safety of the step-by-step security attributes and services of the authentication medium of each attack model, existing the safer than Internet banking, confirmed the usefulness in user registration guide.

Analyzing Factors Affecting Customer Loyalty of Internet Only Bank and their Determinants in China (인터넷전문은행의 고객 충성도에 미치는 영향 요인)

  • Purpose Internet only bank is one of the promising untact businesses which are rising in COVID-19 pandemic. Kakaobank and Kbank have been offering banking services since 2017 in Korea and WeBank and MYbank in China opened the services since 2015. It is necessary to examining determinants of customer loyalty beyond intention to use. The purpose of the present study is to analyze factors influencing customer loyalty and their determinants. A research model integrating the relationships among customer loyalty, service satisfaction, trust, and social influence, and their determinants was proposed. Design/methodology/approach Structural equation modelling for validating the research model was employed. 235 valid data were collected from users of Internet only bank in China. Nine latent variables grouped from 38 indicators were reliable and valid and nine hypotheses were tested by using SmartPLS. Findings All nine hypotheses were supported at significant levels of 0.001 and 0.01. Trust, service satisfaction, and social influence had influenced on customer loyalty. Trust not only affected customer loyalty directly, but also had influence on it indirectly through service satisfaction. Empathy and convenience are determinants of trust. Perceived expertise and dispositions believing acquaints had a positive influence on social influence, whereas users' anxiety for technology or change had a negative influence on social influence. Implications for academics and practitioners were suggested.

  • In service science, it is critical to measure service satisfaction for innovating service processes, which is challenging for service sectors oriented to the usage of IT systems. For that purpose, in this study, a model based on the technology acceptance model and satisfaction measurement model is proposed. The model is empirically tested using data sets from a public service sector (G2B) and a private service sector (internet banking). The purpose of this study is to identify factors which affect the service satisfaction. The result shows that a public service sector is less sensitive to the IT systems on which its services are operated, and that the attitude factor strongly affects the service satisfaction in both sectors.

Analysis of the Password Leaking in Virtual Keyboard (가상키보드 비밀번호 유출 분석)

  • In order to use online financial services, user authentication technology is necessary. Password check through keyboard typing is the most common technique. However, since it became known that key stokes on the keyboard can be intercepted easily, many Internet banking services and easy payment services have adopted the virtual keyboard. However, contrary to the expectation that the virtual keyboard will be safe, there is a risk that key strokes on the virtual keyboard can be leaked. In this paper, we analyzed the possibility of password leaking on the virtual keyboard and presented a password leaking method using mouse event hooking and screen capture in PC operating system. In addition, we inspected the possibility of password leak attacks on several famous Korea Internet banking websites and simple payment services, and as a result, we verified that the password input method through the virtual keyboard in the PC operating system is not secure.

  • The launch of internet-only banks has brought many changes. As the existing commercial banks and internet-only banks have started the infinite competition, the maintenance of relationships with customers or the creation of new customers is important. For this, it is meaningful to understand the aspect of customers' perception of value. Thus, this study conducted the empirical analysis on the attitude of the existing phone-banking users after the launch of internet-only banks. First, the reliability and mobility out of the characteristics of the existing mobile service of commercial banks had effects on the perceived switching value while the reactivity had no effects on it. Second, in the results of understanding the effects of diverse benefits from internet-only banks on the perceived value, the economic benefit and convenient benefit had positive(+) effects on the perceived switching value. Lastly, the perceived switching value had positive(+) effects on the use intention.

  • Mobile service is able to offer the elastic service to anyone regardless of the place and the tin. With this characteristics, the ubiquitous service could be also provided even to the place which the access was limited with the existing line service, which could improve the mutual connection and could result in the service extension Mobile communication companies, which realized the limit of sale only by telephone conversation, have made an effort to develop wireless internet with concentration as its alternation. Especially concentrating their effort both to the development of distinctive and various contents and to tin development of system for mobile service such as the mobile banking, mobile game and etc., they have done their best to secure the number of the people using the wireless internet. This study is to propose the electronic account system based on the mobile as a case study of contents production for such a mobile service. This system has its advantage to perform the financial management immediately when the income and outcome happen without limitation of the time and space. The information could be stored, searched and modified by using of the mobile phone for this system was made up for the weak point of the financial management for wired internet.
