The collaboration of art and technology has been gaining much popularity recently. However, during the collaborating process, proper interactions between these interdisciplinary areas often do not occur. Recent collaborations by ASTA(Arts, Sciences & Technology in Asia), an interdisciplinary project team of artists and engineers, are introduced to explore some desirable virtues for the successful practices of interdisciplinary.

과학기술의 진보는 시대의 발전을 인도했고, 예술과 뉴미디어에 풍부한 기술적 수단과 새로운 도구, 새로운 사유 각도도 제공하며 예술의 창의성과 경질의 중요한 추진적인 힘이 된다. 본 연구는 예술과 과학기술의 융합적인 창의성의 추세에서 출발하여 뉴미디어아트가 나타난 새로운 특징을 중심으로 논술하여 작품의 사례를 결합해서 특징 등 방면에서 상세하게 분석하면서 현재의 뉴미디어 예술을 깊이 파악하는 시대적 특징과 그의 발전추세를 이해하는 점에 대해서 가치를 발견하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to pave the way to improve the quality of historical clothing and textiles and to search for the advisable direction of future studies by examining and analyzing the interdisciplinary approach of historical clothing and textiles related articles published in The Korean Society of Costume. For this analysis, the data were included 124 historical clothing and textiles research articles published in The Korean Society of Costume from 1980 to 2001 March. The followings show the results of this study. 1. The five dominant interdisciplinary fields of historical clothing and textiles were Identified : anthropology, art history, pop music, archaeology, sociology 2. The interdisciplinary research has been actively approached in historical clothing and textiles. 3. The most frequently approached field of the interdisciplinary researches of historical clothing and textiles was art history 4. The period that has most variety interdisciplinary fields was the present age. The studies of future historical clothing and textiles should be approached in more diverse areas of interdisciplinary way and time periods.

예술의 새로운 표현양식으로서 또는 매체와 장르의 형식적 실험이라는 측면에서 회화와 사진은 영향을 주고 받으며 발전해 왔다. 최근 연극, 영화, 미술, 사진, 문학, 무용, 음악등의 다양한 예술분야가 혼합된 혼성장르 또는 개념으로서의 다원예술(Interdisciplinary Art)은 문화적으로 남용되고 있으며 내용보다는 무분별한 디지털 프로세스 기반의 융합을 통한 시각적 표현작업들이 다원주의적 예술로 인식되고 있다.

사운드 아트 분야의 성장과 확장이 활발해질수록 우리는 다양한 예술적 작품들과 활동들을 현명하게 향유하고 적합하게 감상하기 위해 예술사회학적(sociology of the arts) 그리고 인지과학적 관점을 수용하여 고려해야 할 필요가 있다. 그 이유는 현 시대에서 창작되는 새로운 예술의 가치평가는 오늘날의 복잡한 환경, 예술 생산, 그리고 소비에 대한 분석과 검증을 바탕으로 평가와 비평을 되어야 하기 때문이며 이러한 평론이 신예술의 중흥을 위해 필요하기 때문이다. 본 논문은 음악계과 미술계의 관점을 넘어서 사회학적으로 사운드 아트를 분석하고 비평하여야 하는 이유, 그리고 그동안 국내 사운드 아트 실천의 유일한 활동 무대였던 다원예술분야의 지원등이 어떻게 변화되었는지를 간략히 짚어서 앞으로 이러한 탈경계적(borderless)이거나 실험적인(experimental) 예술 분야의 발전을 위해 나아갈 방향을 모색해보고자 한다.

A new paradigm of technology, based on an interaction o( machines, humans and the environment through korperlichkeit(corporeality or philosophy of Mom), is explored. The issue of interactivity in contemporary art plays a key role in the investigation of interactive technology. An interactive system is proposed and implemented to explore the Proposed interactive technology Paradigm. Also, recent collaborations by ASTA(Arts, Sciences St Technology in Asia), an interdisciplinary project team of artists and engineers, are introduced to demonstrate these explorations.

This study deals with the expressive characteristics of Installation Art and their applicability to environmental design, and as such, aims to specify a artistic methods from the contemporary art. What Installation Art is search of in their works is "the state of relationships" which is "to replace the concept of form with that of structure, and the concept of space with that of the environment" that is, the terms of relations in the overall environment of time and space. Installation Art essentially relies on a multiplicity of forms and attitudes leading to projects which positively make use of "spatial-temporal process" to reaffirm and "problematise" their open-endedness manifest in complex contextuality and shifting temporality. This study presents a new interpretation of spatial-temporal dimension, site-specificity, and intermedia art that we find in Installation Art and tries to combine that new artistic insight a with environmental design to provide a basis for integrated art. This study places a great emphasis on the interdisciplinary approaches to the environment we inhabit, which I hope will contribute to generating a greater number of creative possibilities for environmental design.

문화예술교육은 전 국민의 문화예술향유를 통한 삶의 질 향상과 국가의 문화 역량 강화를 지향하는 교육으로서, 지금까지 다양한 프로그램들을 통해 그 범위가 확산되어 왔다. 그러나 실제로 학교수업을 통해 진행되는 학교문화예술교육은 표면적이고 기능적인 교육에 그치는 등 수업 내용과 방식에서 한계를 보이고 있다. 학교문화예술교육이 원래의 목적을 달성하고 학교 안에서 체계적이고 안정적인 부분으로 자리 잡기 위해서는 양적인 성장에 더하여 질적 심화의 측면을 고려해야 할 시점에 와있다. 이 논문에서는 학교문화예술교육의 질적 제고와 활성화를 위해, 초등학교 교육과정에서 한국단편애니메이션을 활용해서 기존 교과와 문화예술교육을 통합할 수 있는 문화예술통합교육 모형을 개발하였다. 단편애니메이션은 감독 개개인의 세계관과 개성, 개인의 삶과 사회적 관계 및 역사적 성찰에 이르기까지 다양한 주제를 독창적인 미학으로 표현해내고 있어, 풍부한 미적 경험과 더불어 주제중심통합교육을 위한 단초를 제공한다. <오늘이>(2003)는 제주도의 원천강 본풀이라는 신화적 소재와 민화라는 전통적 소재를 현대적으로 재해석한 작품이다. 이 작품은 국어(언어지능)와 도덕(대인/자성지능)을 통합적으로 구성하여 자신의 생각을 글, 만화, 그림으로 표현하게 함으로써 언어지능과 공간지능을 발휘할 수 있다. 이러한 문화예술통합교육 모델을 통해 개별교과 로 이루어지는 분과교육과정의 한계를 극복하여 정규 교과의 경계를 확장해서 전반적인 교육의 질을 개선하고자 한다.

사운드아트는 태생적으로 이종적(heterogeneous)이고 탈경계적인 특성을 지닌 예술 활동을 통해 진화했다. 창의적으로 인정받는 예술가들이 마음껏 활동할 수 있는 비옥한 토양이 형성되기 어려운 비주류 예술분야임에도 오늘날 국내 사운드아트 분야의 성장과 확장은 계속 진행되고 있다. 그리고 앞으로는 미술계와 음악계 사이의 진영논쟁을 넘어 탈제도권적인 작품들과 활동들까지도 폭넓게 수용하면서 다양한 비평을 열 수 있는 시대가 올 것이다. 본 논문은 사운드아트의 역사사적 특이점과 발자취를 간단히 살펴서 향후 사운드아트를 위해 개선된 토론장을 만들어가는 데 참고자료로 도움이 되게 하고자 한다.
