Advances in science and technology have led the development of the times, and provide abundant technological means, new tools, and new angles of thought to art and new media, and become an important driving force for creativity and rigidity in art. This study, starting from the trend of convergence creativity between art and science and technology, focuses on the new characteristics of new media art, and combines examples of works in several areas such as characteristics. It has a certain reference value for understanding the characteristics of the times and its development trend to deeply grasp the current new media art while analyzing it in detail.

The purpose of this study was to pave the way to improve the quality of historical clothing and textiles and to search for the advisable direction of future studies by examining and analyzing the interdisciplinary approach of historical clothing and textiles related articles published in The Korean Society of Costume. For this analysis, the data were included 124 historical clothing and textiles research articles published in The Korean Society of Costume from 1980 to 2001 March. The followings show the results of this study. 1. The five dominant interdisciplinary fields of historical clothing and textiles were Identified : anthropology, art history, pop music, archaeology, sociology 2. The interdisciplinary research has been actively approached in historical clothing and textiles. 3. The most frequently approached field of the interdisciplinary researches of historical clothing and textiles was art history 4. The period that has most variety interdisciplinary fields was the present age. The studies of future historical clothing and textiles should be approached in more diverse areas of interdisciplinary way and time periods.

As the sound art field is keep growing and expanding, we shall contemplate from the sociology of the arts and cognitive science point of views to wisely accept and properly appreciate various artistic works and practices. It is because the value evaluation of new arts shall substantially involve analysis and inspections with considerations of today's complex environments, the creative productions, and the consumptions; because, such critiques are necessity for the advancement of new arts. This paper briefly introduces reasoning of including sociological analysis and criticism in evaluating sound arts beyond dichotomy of the fine arts and music fields. It also looks into changes and conditions of cultural arts grants and allowances of the interdisciplinary art genre in South Korea as it has been almost alone a playground for its domestic creative practices of the sound art. This paper is written in a hope to suggest some possible directions for future developments of these contemporary borderless and/or experimental arts.

A new paradigm of technology, based on an interaction o( machines, humans and the environment through korperlichkeit(corporeality or philosophy of Mom), is explored. The issue of interactivity in contemporary art plays a key role in the investigation of interactive technology. This study deals with the expressive characteristics of Installation Art and their applicability to environmental design, and as such, aims to specify a artistic methods from the contemporary art. What Installation Art is search of in their works is "the state of relationships" which is "to replace the concept of form with that of structure, and the concept of space with that of the environment" that is, the terms of relations in the overall environment of time and space. Installation Art essentially relies on a multiplicity of forms and attitudes leading to projects which positively make use of "spatial-temporal process" to reaffirm and "problematise" their open-endedness manifest in complex contextuality and shifting temporality. This study presents a new interpretation of spatial-temporal dimension, site-specificity, and intermedia art that we find in Installation Art and tries to combine that new artistic insight a with environmental design to provide a basis for integrated art. This study places a great emphasis on the interdisciplinary approaches to the environment we inhabit, which I hope will contribute to generating a greater number of creative possibilities for environmental design.

Art & Culture Education for improving quality of life and cultural empowerment through the enjoyment of culture and the arts has spread as a variety of programs. However, Art & Culture Education in school has problems in the aspect of functional and superficial contents and ways of class. To achieve the ultimate purpose of Art & Culture Education and to take place as a effective education, quantitative growth in addition to qualitative depth should be considered. The purpose of this study is to develop the integrated Art & Culture Education model in elementary school curriculum using short animations of Korea, for improving the quality and vitalization of Art & Culture Education. For the interdisciplinary education short animation can be an effective asthetical teaching material, which transmits the world view, personality, social and historical reflection of the director. (2003) is a modern interpretation of a myth, which is Woncheongang Bonfuri from Cheju, and folkore paintings. This film can be such a stuff for the interdisciplinary class Korean and Ethics that language intellect and reflection intellect can be motivated. Moreover the thoughts and feelings about the film can be formulated in text, toon, painting that students can extend their language intellect and space intellect. communicates typically korean emotion and nature with its rural atmosphere and boy figure. With this film we can deliver a interdisciplinary class of science and art.

Sound Art retains heterogeneous and borderless inborn-characteristics on it. Despite it is a non-mainstream art which could not foster fertile soil to bring up many established artists yet, the domestic area is keep growing and expanding. And now it will soon be that time of overcoming the debates between the art world and the music world to widely embrace de-facto artworks and practices, and bringing more quality critiques. This article talks about a concise history of sound art by addressing some singularities and chronicle traces of it which may be helpful information to lead into more opened future discussion forums in the domestic sound art field.
