A Development Methodology of the Interactive Ubiquitous Service Model for a Mixed-Use Complex in u-City (u-City 활성화를 위한 복합단지의 인터액티브 u-서비스 모델 개발 방법)

  • As the ubiquitous technology has been widespread, the u-service development driven by the private sector is increasing these days. In this paper, a new development methodology of interactive u-services for a mixed-use complex in u-City is proposed. The current state-of-the-art IT, Web2.0, assumes that information must be communicated in both way, not only from service provides to users but also from users to service providers. Here the user-driven u-service will be utilized for service providers to customize user services. By this interactive u-service paradigm, the information users become the information providers so that the mixed-use complex will take advantage of massive information. Also, admitting that the mixed-use complex is limited in terms of the space size, the network effect of information and shared contents created through the interactive u-services can be maximized.

  • 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 유비쿼터스 테크놀로지 도입으로 인해 제품개발, 주거, 상업시설 등에서 시작하여 최근 유비쿼터스 환경 구축의 일환으로 u-City 구현에 중점을 두고 많은 연구 진행되고 있다. 그 중 가로환경 디자인은 공공 시설로서 유비쿼터스 환경 구축의 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 그러나, 오늘날 가로 공간은 그 수가 양적으로 팽창되었을 뿐 각각의 특색에 맞게 조성되고 있지는 못하며, 물리적 환경개선에 중점을 두어 단순한 가로정비 수준에 머물고 있다. 이로 인해 지역주민과 이용자 중심의 참여에는 부족한 면이 많았다. 이에 본 연구는 유비쿼터스 테크놀로지를 도입하여 보다 실용적이고 현실 참여적인 공간으로 디자인함으로써 새로운 u-Street 디자인을 제안하고자 한다. 또한, 이와 같은 공공장소에서의 서비스가 이용자들과 어떠한 인터렉티브 커뮤니케이션을 가질 수 있을지에 대해 살펴보고 이를 디자인에 반영하여 공간이 인간과의 상호작용을 원활히 하고 감성적인 공간 디자인이 될 수 있도록 u-Service 를 개발하는 데 중점을 두고자 한다. 본 연구는 부산 광복로를 사례로 진행되었으며, 그 결과 다음과 같은 측면에서 기대효과를 예측할 수 있다. 첫째, u-City 의 기반 시설로서의 u-Street는 수평적이고 친환경적인 가로 경험을 통해 사람이 직접 여러 서비스와 인터렉션할 수 있다. 둘째, 본 연구에 제안된 u-Service 는 이전 광복로의 침체되고 비활동적인 공간을 활동적이고 생동감있는 공간으로 재활성화시키는데 중요한 매개체로서의 역할을 하게 될 것이다. 셋째, 주민과 이용자들의 적극적인 참여를 유도하여 지속적인 공간을 만들어 내는 데 크게 기여할 것이다.

Exploring Interaction between Interactive Services and Presenteeism of Korean Service Workers: The Moderating Effects of Supervisor Support (서비스직 근로자의 고객응대업무와 프리젠티즘: 상사 지지의 조절효과)

  • Purpose: This study delves into the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism among Korean service workers, aiming to discern the moderating effects of supervisor support on the relationship. Methods: Utilizing secondary data from the sixth Korean Working Conditions Survey, involving 7,628 service workers, this study conducted logistic moderated regression analysis to scrutinize the moderating effects of supervisor support on the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism. Results: Approximately 10% of workers experienced presenteeism in the previous 12 months. Females, low-educated, elderly, those working long hours, and low-wage workers were more likely to perceive presenteeism. Notably, a statistically significant U-shaped curvilinear relationship was observed between interactive service duration and presenteeism. The results also underscore the moderating role of supervisory support in shaping the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism. Conclusion: The study highlights the significance of supervisor interest and support in promoting workers' health, thereby not only improving the wellbeing of individual workers but also fostering organizational productivity by reducing presenteeism.

  • Digital Content Marketplace based on Interactive Media is defmed as the marketplace for content service between contents supplier and consumer through iDTV environment. This Marketplace is increasing interest to u-Life service with Digital Environment. To Interactive Media, it can contribute to enhance its effectiveness by developing various contents and service model in the initial phase of broadcasting-communication convergence. This study designed metadata using Digital Content marketplace based on Interactive Media. Specially the matadata designing include recommendation-tag for supply supplementary content. It can support self-directed action. Through basic metadata with weight value, it is designed to support supplementary content customer to want on the marketplace. Recommendation-System can be built by many method and to recommend the service content including explicit properties using collaborative filtering method can solve limitations in existing content recommendation.

  • This study draws out the implications based on the analysis of the U.S. Army's practices(Army Military Human Resource Record(AMHRR) and interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System(iPERMS), Archival Information Service) and applies it to our military by paying attention to the importance of military personnel records and the thorough records management that are the foundation for promoting the welfare service projects of those who have committed to the nation. Through these, it is expected to contribute to the smooth promotion of veteran welfare projects and to create a climate that honors the military at the bottom of society in the future.

  • In VOD(Video-on-Demand) system, the real-time interactive service is one of the most important factor to determine the degree of QoS(Quality of Service). In this paper, we propose the head-end system consisted of switching agent and head-end node, which needs to receive the only video stream for multiple users which have requested the same video, to serve the unlimited interactive service which has no service delay and block. The unlimited VCR services can be served by storing the video stream with buffer at client and head-end node. And the proposed algorithm presents the method to enhance the efficiency by buffer, offer the true interactive VOD services to users because all of service requested by clients are processed immediately. In this paper, we implemented the VOD system which has the VCR functions without service delay and block. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm has better performance in the number of service request and time interval.

  • 새로운 미디어와 창의적인 발상으로 유비쿼터스 기반 상거래에 대한 요구는 날로 증가하고 있다. 사용자 참여형 U-commerce 비즈니스 시나리오를 구성하고, 이에 따라 디지털 아이템 상거래에 필요한 요구사항을 정의한다. 이를 위하여, 각 단계 별로 수익모델을 중심으로 서비스 흐름을 고찰하고, IPTV를 비롯한 휴대폰, 텔레매틱 단말, PDA 등 각종 U-Commerce 서비스가 가능한 단말에서의 양방향 서비스를 고찰하며, 설계된 분류체계를 SOA 기반 U-commerce의 실질적인 운영에 이를 활용가능하게 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히, 본 논문에서는 UCC와 같은 P2P를 중심으로 하여 SOiVA(Service Oriented interactive Video Application)를 활용한 U-commerce 운영 서비스 요구사항을 연구하였다.

  • By the developing of Internet. the environments of the company have rapidly been changed. Especially. managers in the Internet shoppingmall have been try to provide excellent e-Services to their customers. e-Service i~ defined comprised of all interactive services that are delivered on the Internet uSing advanced telecommunications. information, and multimedia technologies. but according to study of e-Satisfy. com[2000]. customer service through internet is still neither effective nor efficient and poor service will impact on company's profit but excellent service can improve their value and quality of the service or product. In order to customer-oriented e-Services. this study suggested the QFD linked with e-Service quality model for the Internet shoppingmall service system. which can help determine design characteristics being relevant to customer's e-Service quality requirements. this hybrid model have two stages. In the first stage. we do measure service quality and find priorities of service quality attribute by purchase process. and in the second stage. on the basis of priority of e-Service quality attributes, we find design characteristics to maximize customer satisfaction. From this study, we provide internet shoppingmall managers with the implications for improvement of service quality, measuring quality of e-service, providing design characteristics for customer-oriented service quality.

  • Home Networking will be implementing the interactive network by home appliances over wireless/wireline network framwork. That is, Home appliances, which are being operated within home space configure the network through wireline/wireless network infrastructure for interworking and interacitive services by external internet access. Based on home networking, smarthome is home space where can use automatic telecommunication and interactive service by home appliances. we can call smarthome based on home networking infrastructure as the conceptual gateway for evolving future converged space like u-city. From simple home control service to home automation service over home networking infrastructure, smarthome service is evolving to up-to-date intelligent life environment in growth of IT technology. however, its service model development was based on supplier-centered based on advanced IT technology. because of this situation, smarthome service has not been acknowledged IT underprivileged people as well as IT early-adaptor. so, this research paper will consider and try to find out what will be the feasible factors to make the best service for IT underprivileged people.

  • To construct distance learing servers and provide their service using the WWW(World Wide Web), it is necessary that we use a real-time processing mehtod rather than the processing after downloading method for multimedia data transmission and their processing.To fulfill such requirements, we developed a real-time processing muduloe for distance education which can process multimedia data in AVI and WAV formats in distrbuted eviroments.We in turn developede a real-time WWW server that can provide real-time services of hypertxt and motion poctures data in temsw of adding the real-time porcessing modute to the MuX framework and intergarting them with WWW. We frnally developed as distance lerming system for real-time interactive chinese character learming, bassed on the results from the pre-vious steps.
