  • As there are needs to search the Web information via wire or wireless telephones, VoiceXML forum was established to develop and promote the Voice eXtensible Markup Language (VoiceXML). VoiceXML simplifies the creation of personalized interactive voice response services on the Web, and allows voice and phone access to information on Web sites, call center databases. Also, it can utilize the Web-based technologies, such as CGI(Common Gateway Interface) scripts. In this paper, we have developed the voice portal service platform based on VoiceXML called TeleGateway. It enables integration of voice services with data services using the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-To-Speech (TTS) engines. Also, we have showed the various services on voice portal services.

  • This paper outlines the concept of real time reference service(RTRS). Then, it analyzes real time reference service in the 13 libraries for effective reference service. As a result, the most used software was AOL instant Messenger, followed by Conference Room from WebMaster, and LivePerson. Hours of service was generally same as reference desk hours. The users were Students. faculty, staff, and alumni, This study also demonstrated how the RTRS in LC works. The results showed that real time reference was able to response to patrons quickly for reference questions with interactive method.

  • Korean wedding service market is composed of various interlinked service elements that must be carefully managed in detail. This thesis introduces a new IT based business model which has been operating in this complex wedding service market for the past ten years. By introducing how each business model has been applied to Service Science, it will set a good example for the subsequent research in the similar fields by providing business's actual operation model and examples. Furthermore, this thesis will contribute to the development of both new study of Service Science and a new business model by illustrating how they beneficially affected each other and advanced as a result of applying outcomes of each business model to the development of the current business model.

  • Cloud computing systems' performance is still a central focus of research for determining optimal resource utilization. Running several existing benchmarks simultaneously serves to acquire performance information from specific cloud system resources. However, the complexity of monitoring the existing performance of computing systems is a challenge requiring an efficient and interactive user directing performance-monitoring system. In this paper, we propose an effective multivariate control framework for monitoring cloud systems performance. The proposed framework utilizes the hardware cloud systems performance metrics, collects and displays the performance measurements in terms of meaningful graphics, stores the graphical information in a database, and provides the data on-demand without requiring a third party software. We present performance metrics in terms of CPU usage, RAM availability, number of cloud active machines, and number of running processes on the selected machines that can be monitored at a high control level by either using a cloud service customer or a cloud service provider. The experimental results show that the proposed framework is reliable, scalable, precise, and thus outperforming its counterparts in the field of monitoring cloud performance.

  • Currently, many kinds of multimedia Services are provided for users using internet and broadcasting infrastructure because of advanced technology Progression of network technology, digital communication and broadcasting technology. In future, Information technology might be important. Information retrieval, Information extraction technology and multimedia service framework standardization make it possible to extract necessary information from a great deal of information. And Interactive service and knowledge library also will provide user-friendly interface technology on soon. In this paper, we describe current standard technology, products and market trends.

  • Indoor location-based services provide a service based on the distance between an object and a person. Recently, indoor location-based services are often implemented using inexpensive depth sensors such as Kinect. The depth sensor provides a function to measure the position of a person, but the position of an object must be acquired manually using a tool. To acquire a 3D position of an object, it requires 3D interaction, which is difficult to a general user. GUI(Graphical User Interface) is relatively easy to a general user but it is hard to gather a 3D position. This study proposes the Interactive LOcation Context Authoring Toolkit(ILOCAT), which enables a general user to easily acquire a 3D position of an object in real space using GUI. This paper describes the interaction design and implementation of ILOCAT.

  • In order to hide their identities, intruders on the Internet often attack targets indirectly by staging their attacks through intermediate hosts known as stepping stones. In this paper, we propose a brute-force technique to detect the stepping stone behavior on a Linux server where some shell processes remotely logged into using interactive services are trying to connect other hosts using the same interactive services such as Telnet, Secure Shell, and rlogin. The proposed scheme can provide an absolute solution even for the encrypted connections using SSH because it traces the system calls of all processes concerned with the interactive service daemon and their child processes. We also implement the proposed technique on a CentOS 6.5 x86_64 environment by the ptrace system call and a simple shell script using strace utility. Finally the experimental results show that the proposed scheme works perfectly under test scenarios.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the direction of developing a new information portal for the disabled by examining the general characteristics, services, resources, and external links of five domestic and foreign information portals for the disabled, and 104 websites of organizations and institutions for the disabled in Korea. Information portals for the disabled examined in this study include the 'Bokjiro' portal and Dibrary Disability portal in Korea, the NARIC portal in the U.S.A., the National Accessibility Portal of the Republic of South Africa, and the National Interactive Portal of India. The following were proposed: (1) Consider both the disabled and the general public as potential users, (2) Identify the specific subject categories appropriate for their needs, (3) Secure information from high quality information sources, (4) Provide the communication and participation channel for the disabled, and (5) Observe Web Accessibility Standards.

  • This study investigated the influence relationship of information service using QR code on customer's service quality perception and loyalty behavior for medical service in the physical environment. As a result of the study, when medical institutions provide location information services about the physical environment by utilizing the usefulness and reliability of QR codes, the perceived quality of customers' QR information will be strengthened, and furthermore, loyalty behavior toward medical services will increase in the future. Considering the spread of smartphones as a popular digital medium today, marketers use QR codes to connect and provide four-dimensional information services without time and place restrictions, thereby strengthening the interactive experience with customers. And these efforts suggest that it can contribute to improving service image and strengthening loyalty beyond simply providing service information to companies.

  • Multimedia service based on interactivity, personalization, multiple channels and community distinguishes IPTV from incumbent TV. But data encoding/decoding time and image frame processing should be considered in digital TV versus analog device. Especially channel zapping time is one of the most important parameters for the service quality of IPTV. This paper proposes the mechanism for decreasing the channel zapping time with multiple decoder and image frame processing. We also implemented the multi-group video community service system using IP multicasting function supporting interactive learning service.
