초저온 케스케이드 냉동사이클의 중간압력 및 바이패스 유량 최적화 (Optimization of Middle Pressure and Bypass Mass Flow Rate in Cryogenic Refrigeration Cascade Cycle)

  • In this research, cascade liquefaction process was simulated using two-staged direct expansion with inter-cooler. Evaporated gaseous refrigerant which has low pressure and temperature from the inter-cooler is mixed with gaseous refrigerant from outlet of 1st compressor, and flows into 2nd compressor. Therefore this prevents superheating compression. Compressor work of process which includes inter-cooler to all cycles shows the lowest value of 338.68 MW and it is lower 16.34% than that of basic process. Refrigeration capacity shows decreasing tendency as applied inter-cooler and that of process which includes inter-cooler to all cycles shows the lowest value of 449 MW. COP was increased when the inter-cooler was applied, and process which includes inter-cooler to all cycles shows highest value of 1.33. It shows that COP was increased because decrement of compressor work by applying inter-cooler was higher than decrement of refrigeration capacity.

  • 본 논문에서는 천연가스 액화 플랜트 산업에서의 경쟁력 확보를 위한 핵심기술인 2단 압축 인터쿨러 방식을 적용한 액화공정에 대해 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 이 공정들은 기본 케스케이드 공정을 기초로 하였으며, 모든 공정에 2단 압축 방식을 적용하였다. 먼저 프로판, 에틸렌, 메탄 사이클에 각각 인터쿨러를 적용하였으며 성능 특성을 비교하였다. 모든 사이클에 인터쿨러를 적용한 공정의 COP가 13.7 ~ 20.5%로 가장 크게 증가하였고, LNG 단위 생산량 당 소요 에너지는 기본 케스케이드 공정에 비해 23.8% ~ 35%로 가장 크게 감소하였다.

  • In this paper, cycle performance analysis of two-stage compression and two-stage expansion refrigeration system using alternative freon refrigerants is presented to offer the basic design data for the operating parameters of the system. Alternative freon refrigerant for freon refrigerant R22 were used as working fluids in this study. The operating parameters considered in this study included evaporation temperature, condensation temperature, subcooling degree, superheating degree, and mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler. The main results were summarized as follows : The COP of two-stage compression and two-stage expansion refrigeration system increases with the increasing subcooling degree and mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler, but decreases with the increasing evaporating temperature, condensing temperature and superheating degree. Therefore, subcooling degree, mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler of two-stage compression and two-stage expansion refrigeration system using alternative freon refrigerants have an effect on COP of this system.

  • The 3-stage centrifugal compressor is used in order to measure the noise spectra of compressor, and analyze the results. Two cases are investigated for compressor noise components. Case I includes total system such as compressor, inter-cooler, motor, and Case II excludes cooling system. BPF tonal noise is important in compressor, and cooling system including inter-cooler contributes to broadband noise. Also, motor, gear box, and motor cooling fan are the second contributions to total compressor noise. Centrifugal compressor flow-field is calculated using two-dimensional grid and Navier-Stokes equations. Static pressure increases, and total pressure decreases, as air passes through the compressor components.

The operating parameters considered in this study include degree of superheating and subcooling, compressor efficiency, evaporation temperature, condensing temperature, mass flow rate ration into inter-cooler, effectiveness of internal heat exchanger. The main results were summarized as follows : The COP of two-stage compression and 1-stage expansion refrigeration system increases with the increasing subcooling, mass flow rate ration of inter-cooler, evaporation temperature, but decreases with the increasing condensing temperature and superheating degree. Therefore, subcooling degree, mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler of two-stage compression and 1-stage expansion using substitute refrigerant have an effect on COP of this system. The COP of alternative refrigerants was higher than the COP of R22 in this study, although the COP of some mixed refrigerants were lower than COP of R22.

  • 본 논문에서는 규제 프레온냉매 R22의 대체 자연냉매의 후보인 R290(프로판), R600(부탄), R717(암모니아), R1270(프로필렌)을 작동유체로 사용하는 2단압축 1단팽창 냉동시스템의 성능 특성을 비교하였다. $-20^{\circ}C{\sim}-50^{\circ}C$ 정도의 저온을 얻기 위해 사용되는 2단압축 1단팽창 냉동장치에서의 증발온도, 응축온도, 과열도 및 과냉각도의 변화에 따른 성능계수(COP) 변화를 규명하고자 하였다. 성능특성 규명 결과, 과냉각도 및 중간냉각기에서의 냉매유량 증가에 따라 시스템의 COP는 증가하였으나, 증발온도, 응축온도 및 과열도가 증가할수록 COP는 저하되는 결과를 나타내었다. 또한, 자연냉매를 사용하는 2단압축 1단팽창 냉동시스템의 COP는 규제 프레온냉매 R22를 사용하는 경우보다 높기 때문에 자연냉매를 사용하고자 하는 냉동시스템의 안전성이 확보되면 충분히 대체 냉매로서의 경쟁력이 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 천연가스 액화 플랜트 산업에서의 핵심 기술인 액화공정 개발을 위해 두 가지 2단 압축 방식의 액화 사이클의 성능을 시뮬레이션 하였다. Process1은 케스케이드 액화공정을 기초로 하여 프로판, 에틸렌, 메탄 사이클 모두 인터쿨러가 적용된 것이다. Process 2는 위의 공정에 메탄과 에틸렌 사이클 사이에 액-가스 열교환기를 적용하였고, Process 3은 위의 공정에 에틸렌과 프로판 사이클 사이에 액-가스 열교환기를 추가로 적용하였으며, 인터쿨러를 적용한 케스케이드 공정과 성능을 비교하였다. Process 2의 COP는 Process 1보다 14.0%정도 높게 나타났고, LNG 단위 생산량 당 소비 동력은 11.5% 정도 낮게 나타났다.

  • Coefficient of performance (COP) for two-stage compression system is investigated in this paper to develop seawater ice machine. The system performance is analyzed with respect to degrees of superheating and subcooling, condensing and evaporating temperatures, compression and mechanical efficiencies and mass flow ratio in an inter-cooler. The main results are summarized as follows : The COP of the system grows when the mass flow ratio, subcooling degree and evaporating temperature edge up. Contrariwise, the system performance descends in case that superheating degree and condensing temperature increase. The most effective factor for the COP is the mass flow rate ratio. Each refrigerant has different limitation for a value of the mass flow ratio in the inter-cooler because of difference in material property.

  • This study investigates the friction of the roll stands in the high performance multi- holes slate fin machine which pin is using in heat transfer of radiator, oil cooler, inter cooler, condenser and evaporator. The roll stand part is very important to maintain the high performance fin machine. This multi-holes form roll type is the first time in our country so it will be helpful to increases the export and product of heat transfer. It was include the technical of form rolling system which was self development. Then it will be improve the electric home appliances, future motor vehicle device and industrial machine.

한랭지용 열펌프의 저온난방 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Performance of a Heat Pump for the Cold Climate)

  • The present study concerns an experimental study of a R-22 heat pump system consisted of liquid and liquid heat exchangers. The test was performed for various systems of a single-, tandem-, and two stage-cycle at the same environmental conditions of temperature. Various experiments of the heat pump system were peformed to compare the heating capacity and COP, when the outdoor temperature is near $-15^{\circ}C$ and the indoor temperature is $20^{\circ}C.$ As the results of the present study, the system of Tandem(parallel) cycle showed the best heating performance, while the discharge temperature of refrigerant was too high. In case of the system of two stage cycle, the performance characteristics were significantly improved by employing the inter cooler.
