Development of knapsack problem solver using relational DBMS (관계형 데이터베이스를 이용한 배낭문제 해법기의 구현)

  • Knapsack problems represent many business application such as cargo loading, project selection, and capital budgeting. In this research we developed a knapsack problem solver based on Martello-Toth algorithm using a relational database management system on the PC platform. The solver used the menu-driven user interface. The solver can be easily integrated with the database of decision support system because the solver can access the database to retrieve the data for the model and to store the result directly.

  • 생산시스템 기술이 점차 확대/발전되고, 가공시스템의 고 신뢰성, 효율성 향 상에 대한 관심이 집중되면서 시스템 관련하의 다양한 분야에서 체계적인 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그중 공구관리시스템에 관해서는 지금까지 많은 연구 가 되고 있으나 단순히 재고관리 관점에서 운용되거나, 부분적으로 open-loop 상황에서 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 측면에서 생산현 장에 적합하고, 공작기계와의 Interface를 고려하여 IC(Integrated Circuit)를 이용한 공구식별시스템을 구축하므로써 Manufacturing Database에서 운용되 고, 공작기계와도 공구정보를 송/수신할 수 있는 shop floor연계형 TMS(Tool Management System)를 개발하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, MIIS (Medical Image Information System) has been designed and implemented using INGRES RDBMS, which is based on a client/server architecture. The implemented system allows users to register and retrieve patient information, medical images and diagnostic reports. It also provides the function to display these information on workstation windows simultaneously by using the designed menu-driven graphic user interface. The medical image compression/decompression techniques are implemented and integrated into the medical image database system for the efficient data storage and the fast access through the network.

  • This paper discusses the development and use of an integrated system for the design of steel box girder bridges. The system includes pre/post processors designed particularly for the ease of use by adopting GUI(Graphical User Interface). They offer convenient facilities for the management of design data and thus enable the user to draw satisfactory structural designs. In particular, ease of redesign iterations makes better structures possible in this system

  • This paper describes the development of integrated simulator for traction power supply system with GUI (Graphic User Interface). This simulator consists of a lot of calculation modules such as TPS, time table, line constant, and power supply system analysis. Each module has input and output structure respectively. The proposed simulator is tested on both high speed railway line and metropolitan subway line. The test has confirmed the function of the developed simulator.

  • The development of computer-integrated design systems that fully support structural design process needs the computerization of structural design at the preliminary design stage. The objective of this paper is to develop a prototype system for preliminary design of reinforced concrete structures. This study focuses on the development of a natural design process oriented GUI(Graphic User Interface) and a representation of an experienced knowledge. The prototype system has been currently implemented using the objected-oriented programming concepts, the program language(i.e.,Visual C++) and the expert shell(i.e., Intelligent Rules Element).

  • In this study , the system was developed for design procecure of agriultural engineering. For development of the system, design reports of Rural Development Corporation were analyzed, the components using in system were searched, and the user interface was developed. It was found that the development of this system would be used for design procedure using design information based on RDBMS.

  • 최근 무선 인터넷 서비스에 대한 관심이 고조되면서 관련 기술 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 현재 가장 유력한 국제표준 중 하나로 인식되어 가고 있는 WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)의 규격에 따르면 이동 단말과 WAP 서버는 WAP Gateway를 통하여 통신하도록 되어 있다. 본 논문은 리눅스 기반으로 WAP Gateway와 Server가 통합적으로 지원되는 IWAP 플랫폼의 설계 및 구현에 것이다. 제안된 IWAP 플랫폼은 WAP Gateway JABA 기반의 Server 개발환경, WML Tool-Kit 및 MUI(Management User Interface)등 크게 4개의 모듈로 구성되고, 베어러(bearer) 망으로 SMSC(Short Message Service Center)나 CSD(Circuit Switched Data) 라우터를 고려하였다.
