Development of BIM-based 3D Modeling Instruction Materials and its Application Analysis for Professional Drafting Subject of Specialized Vocational High School (특성화고 전문제도 과목을 위한 BIM 기반 3D 주택설계 수업자료 개발 및 적용)

  • As the BIM designing technology has been applied recently in the construction field, architectural design education in the field of work and university has been changing to 3D modeling. Nevertheless, architectural design & drafting education in the construction specialized vocational high school is not responding appropriately to change. Despite the fact that students need to have 3D modeling design ability, there is a very lack of 3D housing design instructional material that can satisfy the change. The purpose of this study is to develop BIM-based 3D modeling instruction material and apply to analyze effect on interest and task performance ability on Housing Design. The 3D modeling instruction material used in this study was developed through four stages of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation according to the PDIE model procedure. Also, the experimental design model for hypothesis testing was used nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Based on the experimental design model, BIM-based 3D modeling instruction material was performed in the experimental group and 2D CAD-based standard instruction material was taught in the control group. Experimental treatment was conducted on the students of construction specialized vocatinonal high school, and applied to the subject of Professional Drafting in the 12 hours. Before and after the experimental treatment, the interest and task performance ability on Housing Design were tested. Based on the test results, we analyzed the effects of the 3D modeling instruction material through the independent samples t-test. The results of the study are as follows. First, BIM-based 3D modeling instruction material was developed of 'Housing Design & Drafting' unit on the subject of Professional Drafting in construction specialized vocational high school. Second, the application of 3D modeling instruction material has shown to be effective in improving students' interest. Third, the application of 3D modeling instruction material has shown to be effective in improving students' task performance ability on Housing Design.

Nurses and Nursing Students' Recognition of Good Instruction (간호사와 간호대학생의 좋은 수업에 대한 인식)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify and assess from nursing students and nurses in the clinical field what constitute good instruction, through the review of nursing students' opinions and clinical field demands. Methods: The study design was used Creswell's exploratory sequential design by collecting and analyzing qualitative data obtained from interviews and then analysis of quantitative data. The participations were 79 seniors in nursing schools and 85 nurses with less than three years of clinical experience. The data were collected through individual interviews and analyzed based on Elo and Kyngas's content analysis method. The quantitative data were collected using the questionnaire developed based on qualitative results and analyzed by SPSS 23.0 program and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Results: The results showed that IPA extracted seven items with high importance but low satisfaction: "nursing fads and trends," "teacher-learner communication and reflection," "materials used in clinical settings such as monitoring results and test results," "special presentations by experienced practitioners," "instruction assures learners' comprehension," "accurate and detailed evaluation standards" and "feedback on homework and exam." Conclusion: The factors comprising good instruction were verified, and the necessity for additional efforts to improve high importance and low performance factors was noted. Therefore, this study can serve as a guide for nursing education facilities and educators in developing of a thorough education system with excellent instruction designed to achieve an ideal nursing education.

The Professors' Perception of Blended Learning through Network Analysis of Keyword: Focusing on Reflective Journal (키워드 네트워크 분석을 통한 블렌디드 러닝 수업에 대한 인식연구: 성찰일지를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore professors' perception of blended learning. For this purpose, the reflective journals written by 56 university professors was analyzed using the keyword network analysis method. The results of this study are as follows: First, as a result of keyword frequency analysis for the blended learning, the keywords showed the highest frequency in the order of (1) 'instructional design', 'student', 'instructional method', 'learning objective' in the area of learning, (2) 'importance', 'instruction', 'feeling', 'student' in the area of feeling, and (3) 'semester', 'plan', 'weekly', and 'instruction' in the area of action plan. Second, the results of analyzing the degree, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality of network connection are as follows. (1) The keywords 'instruction', 'instructional method', 'instructional design', and 'learning objective' in the area of learning, (2) the keywords 'instruction', 'importance', and 'necessity' in the area of feeling, and (3) 'instruction', 'plan', and 'semester' in the area of action plan showed high values in degree, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality. Based on the research results, implications for blended learning and professors' perception were discussed.

  • Currently, Reading instruction has a problem that it's separating subject matter and emphasizing only an activities after reading. This study designed a web-based reading instruction system in which teachers, students and teacher librarians can actively participate to help students to develop the integrated reading ability. Existing reading system have been analyzed to find requirement of web-based reading instruction system. Supposed reading instruction system composed of 6 menus, reading guidance ,reading level diagnosis, book selection, reading strategy, reading presentation, reading discussion.

  • The smart education recognized new educational paradigm is going to be introduced in earnest in the field from 2015. We develop the instructional design model for smart education to be able to provide a guide to design the instruction which has a speciality compared to current instruction. Furthermore, we did an expert assessment to recognize the validation and applicability of developed instructional design model and then apply this model to the field. As a result, we drew a positive conclusion for this instructional design model, which provides a base of systemic instructional design in smart education environment and focuses on expanding the ability of students living on 21st century. We expect that this study will be useful for teachers in the field who perform the smart education.

This Papers: NOVA Emulator designed by use of MMI-6701. As a result of this studies, quantity of IC changed with about a third part by NOVA exchanged with Microprocessor. Micro Instruction of PROM consist of 32bit that designed Instruction Format of four kinds.

Development of STEAM Instructional Materials using Arduino for Creative Engineering Design Class in High Schools and Its Application (일반계고의 창의공학설계 수업을 위한 아두이노 기반 STEAM 수업자료 개발과 적용)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop the Arduino based STEAM instruction materials for creative engineering design class. PDIE model was used in this study. We developed a STEAM lesson plan and a STEAM lesson worksheet for a total of six sessions through the steps of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation. The validity of the instruction materials was evaluated by the 10 experts using a survey. The instruction materials were applied to the class (52 students attended) of the creative engineering designs unit in technology and home economics subject. The class satisfaction and the creative solving-problem ability were examined after the calss. The class satafacition was high as the average of 10 item was 4.57 (out of 5). The paired t-test was conducted to compare the means of the creative solving-problem ability. It was observed that 'understanding and mastery of knowledge, thought, function and skills in a specific domain', 'divergent thinking', 'critical and logical thinking' and ' motivational factors' were significantly increased after the class. The instruction materials develped in this study were successfully designed to enhance the creative solving-problem ability by designing creative tasks and to intrique the interest by adding visual and auditory stimuli with the Arduino.
