  • The investment of BTL(Build-Transfer-Lease) projects for the educational facilities has been increased since 2005. However, many trial errors and problems have been occurring due to the lack of inspection criteria in maintenance cost for the lift cycle of the facilities. Thus, purpose of this study is to derive regression equation for the daily inspection and the regular inspection through analysis of CAD data in order to set the inspection criteria. It is possible to calculate economical maintenance cost of BTL project in educational facilities using criteria of inspection time through the regression equation developed in this study.

  • In this paper, we readdress the optimization problem for minimizing the inspection cost in a back-light unit inspection system, which forms a network including a K-stage inspection system, a source inspection shop, and a re-inspection shop. In order to formulate our objective function when the system is in a steady state, assuming that the number of nonconforming items in a lot follows a binomial distribution when a lot is formed for inspection, we make a steady-state network flow analysis between shops, and derive the steady-state amount of flows between nodes and the steady-state fraction defectives by solving a nonlinear balance equation. Finally we provide some fundamental properties and an enumeration method for determining an optimal value of K which minimizes our objective function. In addition, we compare our results numerically with previous ones.

  • For situations where there are several markets with different price/cost structures, economic complete inspection plans are developed for determining the market to ship the product to. Two complete inspection plans are considered; the plan based on the performance variable of interest, and the plan based on a variable which is correlated with the performance variable. Profit models are constructed which involve selling price, cost incurred by imperfect quality, and quality inspection cost. Methods of finding the optimal complete inspection plans are presented and a numerical example is given.

  • This paper presents a model that considers combinations of rework, repair, replacement and scrapping. Policy-Iteration method of inspection is proposed for a serial manufacturing system whose repair cost, scrap cost and inspection cost. when it fails, can be formulated by Markovian approach. Policy-Iteration stops when new inspection policy is the same as previous inspection policy. A numerial example is presented.

  • The objectives of this study is to suggest the rectifying sampling inspection plan considering quality cost. Limiting quality level(LQL) plans(also called LTPD plans) and outgoing quality(OQ) plans are considered. The Hald's linear cost model is discussed with and without a beta prior for the distribution of the fraction of nonconforming items in a lot. It is assumed that the sampling inspection is error free. We consider the design of reliability acceptance sampling plan (RASP) for failure rate level qualification at selected confidence level. The lifetime distribution of products is assumed to be exponential. MIL-STD-690C and K C 6032 standards provide this procedures. But these procedures have some questions to apply in the field. The cost of test and confidence level(1-$\beta$ risk) are the problem between supplier and user. So, we suggest that the optimal life test sampling inspection plans using simple linear cost model considering product cost, capability of environment chamber, environmental test cost, and etc. Especially, we consider a reliability of lots that contain some nonconforming items. In this case we assumed that a nonconforming item fail after environmental life test. Finally, we develope the algorithm of the optimal sampling inspection plan based on minimum costs for rectifying inspection and RASP. And computer application programs are developed So, it is shown how the desired sampling plan can be easily found.

  • Inspection policies deal with stochastically failing systems in which failures cannot be detected without inspection. In this paper, we considered an effective inspection policy to detect system failure under imperfect inspection. Approximate total expected cost is derived and a simple algorithm to determine inspection schedule is Presented. Numerical examples showed that the inspection policy is easily applicable and cost effective.

  • Due to advances in automated manufacturing systems and automatic inspection equipment, complete inspection has drown increased attention recently and has become a widespread practice. In a complete inspection plan all of the items are subject to acceptance inspection If an item fails to meet the predetermined specifications, it is rejected. In this paper, economic complete inspection plans are developed in situations where rejected items are reworked Complete inspections based on the performance variable of interest or a variable which is correlated with the performance variable are considered. Cost models are constructed which involve cost incurred by imperfect quality rework cast and quality inspection cost Methods of finding the optimal complete inspection plans are presented and numerical examples are given.

  • Recently, interest in the safety and maintenance of the structures is growing. However, due to the low-cost order placed by the ordering organization, the safety diagnosis specialized institution becomes insolvent and many problems have arisen due to insufficient inspection and diagnosis. Therefore, in this study, the current status of bid cost was examined through the survey of the practitioners and case analysis. As a result, Precision safety inspection is deemed that it is necessary to increase the efficiency of the criteria cost and to strengthen the rigidity of the criteria cost rather than adjusting the criteria cost. Precision safety diagnosis, the criteria cost for structures with a floor area of less than $10,000m^2$ is lowered to 80 % from the current standard. For structures larger than that, the current criteria cost are applied, but it is deemed necessary to strengthen the rigidity of the criteria cost.

  • This paper deals with an economical sampling plan, recently being concentrated on and, namely, investigates how to determine the basic concepts to settle the sampling plan of a minimum cost. On an inspection of sampling, a Linear Cost Model of a cost function which is concerned with the representative cost dements, is established and by the investigation of its possible solution economical single sampling plan for recitying inspection by attribute is suggested.
