H2O/LiBr+HO(CH2)3OH계 공냉형 이중효용 흡수식 냉방시스템의 사이클 해석 (Cycle Analysis of Air-Cooled Double-Effect Absorption Cooling System Using H2O/LiBr+HO(CH2)3OH)

  • A cycle analysis was achieved to predict the characteristics by comprehensive modeling and simulation of an air-cooled, double-effect absorption system using a new $H_2O/LiBr+HO(CH_2)_3OH$ solution. The simulation results showed that the new working fluid may provide the crystallization limit 8% higher than the conventional $H_2O/LiBr$ solution. With a crystallization margin of 3wt%(weight%), the optimal solution distribution ratio was found in the range of 36 to 40%. Variation of cooling air Inlet temperature has a sensitive effect on the cooling COP and corrosion problem. The simulation of heat exchangers with UA value revealed that the absorber and the evaporator are relatively important for an air-cooled system compared with the condenser and the low temperature generator. The effect of cooling air flow rate, circulation weak solution flow rate and chilled water inlet temperature were also examined. The new working fluid may provide the COP approximately 5% higher than the conventional $H_2O/LiBr$ solution.

  • Heat and mass transfer behaviors of metal hydride beds were predicted by solving a set of volume-averaged equations numerically both for the gas (hydrogen) and the solid(metal hydride) phases. Time variations of temperature and hydrogen concentration ratio distributions were obtained for internally cooled, cylindrical-shaped beds with metal(aluminum) fins imbedded in them. Also, time variations of the space-averaged hydrogen concentration ratio were obtained. Temperature and velocity of the coolant, hydrogen pressure at the gas inlet, and the fin spacing were taken as the parameters. The hydrogen absorption rate increases with the higher velocity and the lower temperature of the coolant, and with the decrease of the fin spacing. Increasing of the hydrogen pressure at the gas inlet also promotes the rate of absorption though the increasing rate gradually slows down. The amount of the hydrogen storage per unit volume of the bed decreases with the tighter fin spacing despite of the higher absorption rate ; therefore, there should be an optimum fin spacing for a given volume of the system and the amount of the hydrogen storage, in which the absorption rate is the highest.

  • A fundamental study on the under water harvest-type ice storage system and its temperature characteristics in ice storage system was performed experimentally. The experiments were conducted by changing the inlet refrigerant temperature of an evaporator to analyzing the thermal fluid motion inside the ice storage tank. From the experimental results, the cold storage characteristics were investigated by measuring the axial and radial temperature variations inside the ice storage tank with respect to the inlet and outlet refrigerant temperatures of an evaporator. In case of the under water harvest-type ice storage system, thermal fluid motion inside the ice storage tank was shown differently in comparison with that of other ice storage systems. During the cooling storage process, there was no supercooling phenomenon in the ice storage tank. These results show the characteristic of this system and the possibility of application to other fields.

  • 본 연구에서는 대향류 열교환기에 대하여 출력과 효율 등을 계산하는 예를 보 이고, 동시에 최대의 출력을 얻기 위한 조건들을 수치적으로 구하였다. 또한 열교환 기의 장치비용과 열원의 생성비용을 적절히 취급하여 경제적 최적조건에 대해서도 살 펴보고자 한다. 여기서 저온유체의 가용 에너지 획득량으로서 출력은 열전달로 인한 부분만을 생각하기로 한다.

  • 스월 난류연소기에서의 혼합기 유입온도와 스월세기에 따른 연소불안정 발생 메커니즘 알아보기 위하여 Large Eddy Simulation을 수행하였다. 스월각 45도 경우 연료공기 혼합기의 온도를 600K에서 660K으로 증가시켰을 경우 화염분기(Bifurcation)현상이 관찰되었고, 스월 강도가 변할 경우 온도와 관계없이 화염분기가 일어나거나 그렇지 않음을 확인하였다. 벽면근처의 혼합가스 유동속도와 화염속도간의 상관관계는 화염분기현상의 발생에 주요한 인자임을 확인하였다.

열매체유 유동층 열교환기의 전열성능에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Heat Transfer Performance of Heating Medium Oil Fluidized Bed Heat Exchanger)

  • The heat transfer performance of heating medium oil fluidized bed heat exchanger was measured. The operation variables were air flow rate, air inlet temperature, moisture content, water flow rate and water inlet temperature. The outside heat transfer coefficient was determined from the heat exchanger experiment and its experimental correlation was determined as a function of air velocity and viscosity of heating medium oil. Effect of viscosity was well agreed with the previous studies. Errors of the correlation equation was less than about 10% for outside heat transfer coefficient developed in this study when compared with the measured value. Hot water with the temperature greater than $77^{\circ}C$ could be produced by using the heating medium oil fluidized bed heat exchanger.

  • 막냉각이 적용된 액체로켓엔진의 비추력 최적조건을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 구한 엔진의 비추력 성능을 문헌에 소개된 가스발생기 사이클 엔진의 개념설계와 비교하여 적절한 정확성을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 비추력을 극대화할 수 있는 조건으로 최적의 막냉각 유량과 재생냉각 용량의 조합이 제시되었다. 추력이 증가될 경우, 막냉각 유량이 감소하고 연료펌프 차압은 증가한다. 터빈 입구온도 증가에 따라 최적 조건의 막냉각 유량과 연료펌프 차압이 증가한다. 코킹 온도 증가 역시 터빈 입구온도와 정성적으로 동일한 영향을 가진다.

Experimental Investigation of the Thermal Hydraulics in Lead Bismuth Eutectic-Helium Experimental Loop of an Accelerator-Driven System

  • The heat transfer characteristics between liquid lead bismuth eutectic (LBE) and helium are of great significance for the two-loop cooling system based on an accelerator-driven system (ADS). This paper presents an experimental study on the resistance characteristics and heat transfer performance in a LBE-helium experimental loop of ADS. Pressure drops in the LBE loop, the main heat transfer, and the coupled heat transfer characteristics between LBE and helium are investigated experimentally. The temperature of LBE has a significant effect on the LBE thermo-physical properties, and is therefore considered in the prediction of pressure drops. The results show that the overall heat transfer coefficient increases with the increasing helium flow rate and the decreasing inlet temperature of helium. Increasing the LBE Reynolds number and LBE inlet temperature promotes the heat transfer performance of main heat transfer and thus the overall heat transfer coefficient. The experimental results give an insight into the flow and heat transfer properties in a LBE-helium heat exchanger and are helpful for the optimization of an ADS system design.

  • 공기 가열 장치는 크게 연소식과 열교환식 2가지가 있으며, 본 논문은 공기를 오염시키지 않은 열교환 방식인 청정 공기 가열 장치의 설계 방법을 기술하였다. 가열 장치는 크게 연소기 (Burner), 가열로 (Furnace), 열교환기 (Heat Exchanger), 배기구로 구성되어 되며, 가열되는 공기 유량과 입/출구 온도값으로부터 가열원인 연소기의 열용량과 연소기 연료인 LNG의 소요량을 구한다. 열교환기 내부에서 연소기의 뜨거운 연소가스와 가열되는 차가운 공기간의 열매체를 통한 간접 열교환이 이루어지므로, 가열되는 공기의 입/출구 온도에서 열교환기의 용량, 크기, 작동 최대 온도를 얻을 수 있게 된다.

2차 유체 조건 변화에 대한 CO2용 수냉식 열펌프의 성능 특성에 관한 연구 (Performance Characteristics of Water-Chilling Heat Pump Using CO2 on the Variation of Secondary Fluid Conditions)

  • The performance characteristics of water-chilling heat pump using $CO_2$ with respect to variation of inlet temperature and mass flow rate of secondary fluid was investigated experimentally. An experimental apparatus is consisted of a compressor, a gas cooler, an expansion valve, an evaporator and a liquid receiver. All heat exchangers used in the test rig are counter-flow-type heat exchangers with concentric dual tubes, which ate made of copper. The gas cooler and the evaporator consist of 6 and 4 straight sections respectively arranged in parallel, each has 2.4 m length. The experimental results were summarized as the followings : As inlet temperature of secondary fluid in the gas cooler increases from $10^{\circ}C$ to $40^{\circ}C$, the compressor work, heating capacity and heating COP were varied to 37.8%, -13%, -35.9%, respectively. The heating capacity, compressor work, heating COP were turned into 23.3%, 6.42%, 13.1%, respectively when ass flow rate of secondary fluid in the evaporator increases from 70 g/s to 150 g/s. The above tendency is similar with performance variation with respect to temperature variation of secondary fluid in the conventional vapor compression cycle.
