Simulation Study on the Effect of Pre-blow Timing on the Injection Stretch Blow Molding

  • Research on the reduction of plastic use to prevent environmental pollution is urgently needed. Accordingly, studies on reducing the weight of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles are currently being conducted. PET bottles are fabricated by injection stretch blow molding. In this study, stretch blow molding for fabricating PET bottles using preform studied through a computer simulation. Blowing characteristics are analyzed by varying the start time of the pre-blow, which is one of the process conditions of stretch blow molding. Simulation results and the preform inflation process are presented, and the parameters of stretch ratio, stretching path, thickness distribution, and weight distribution of blown PET bottles are investigated.

A Clinical Study of Trigger Point by Blocking Methods (유발점 차단에 의한 임상적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is the evaluation of the degree of post injection soreness, symptom duration, factor and autonomic symptoms after trigger point injection in patients with trigger points. We devided the subjects of the study into four groups Such as, only dry needling, needle-TENS, with massage-stretch, massage-stretch only, including 100 patients, and measured the visual analog scale before treatment and after treatment. Before treatment, The VAS mean scores were $6.2{\pm}1.03$ in needle-TENS with massage-stretch group ; $6.2{\pm}1.75$ in needdle-TENS group, and $6.3{\pm}1.85$ in dry needling group, and $6.8{\pm}1.03$ in massage-stretch group. In post injection 3rd day, The VAS mean score were $0.9{\pm}1.78$ in needling-TENS with massage-stretch group, $1.1{\pm}1.52$ in needling-TENS group, $1.7{\pm}1.10$ in dry needling group, and $3.9{\pm}3.01$ in massage-stretch group. As for a causative factor of activities for trigger were overload with 37.0%, overwork with 35.0% and fatigue with 13.0%. Symptoms for trigger were tenderness with 28.0%, numbness and tingling with 24.0%. ROM limit with 17.0% and tightness with 17.0%. As a result, needling-TENS with massage-stretch group showed less soreness and effect than other group.

The thickness distributions, haze, and transmittance are well accepted for the preform. Also, flow characteristics of the resin between a core and cavity could be analyzed through computer simulation.

  • This study presents the preform injection molding and the blow molding of the injection stretch-blow molding process for PET bottles. The numerical analysis of the injection molding and the blow molding of a preform is considered in this paper using CAE with a view to minimize the warpage and the thickness. In order to determine the design parameters and processing conditions in injection/blow molding, it is very important to establish the numerical model with physical phenomenon. In this study, we appropriately predicted the warpage, deformation and thickness distribution along the product walls.

  • Forming of PET bottle was performed by injection-stretch blow molding. Blow molding is process of contacting the dies with air of materials by pressing. In this paper, the aim was to improve reliability of technical stabilization for the PET bottle that is last productive product and process technology which was able to do maximization by a preform performance enhancement of the uniform thickness that took temperature and a characteristic of materials. Preform design and dies manufacture were conducted using injection blow molding analysis results. Therefore thickness error of 5% for PET bottle can be obtained in this paper.

  • In this study, visualization of in-cylinder spray behavior and spark channel stretching by air flow characteristics depending on engine operating conditions were investigated. For in-cylinder spray behavior, increase in engine rpm did not alter the counter-clockwise air flow direction and location of in-cylinder dominant air flow but increased average air flow velocity, which hindered spray propagation parallel to the piston surface. When injection timing was retarded, direction of in-cylinder dominant air flow was changed, and average air flow velocity was reduced resulting in an increase in spray penetration length and change in direction. For spark channel stretching, increase in air flow speed did not affect spark channel stretch direction but affected length due to increase in spark channel resistance and limitation of energy ignition coil can handle. Change in air flow direction affected spark channel stretch direction where the air flow was obstructed by ground electrode which caused spark channel direction to occur in the opposing direction of air flow. It also affected spark channel stretch length due to change in air flow speed around the spark plug electrode from the interaction between the air flow and ground electrode.

  • 본 연구는 성형해석 및 실험적 방법을 통하여 페트 패키징 제품의 두께편차를 최소화 하기 위하여 프리폼 설계 및 블로우 성형공정 변수를 변화보았다. 블로우 성형과정을 정확하게 묘사하기 위하여 쉘(shell) 모델을 이용하여 블로우 성형해석을 수행하였으며, 이 결과를 토대로 프리폼 설계변수 및 공정 변수를 최적화 하였다. 제품 형상이 점점 복잡해지고 요구되는 제품의 품질이 높아질수록 실험적으로 최적의 결과를 도출하기가 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 수치적 해석을 통하여 사전에 발생될 수 있는 파악함으로서 시행착오를 줄이고 최적의 금형을 제작함으로써 설계 불량, 제작시간 단축 및 비용 감소등 최적의 결과를 빠른 시간에 도출할 수 있음을 알 수가 있었다.
