태양대기모델 계산법 (CALCULATION METHODS OF SOLAR ATMOSPHERIC MODEL)

  • We have investigated the numerical methods to calculate model atmosphere for the analysis of spectral lines emitted from the sun and stars. Basic equations used in our calculations are radiative transfer, statistical equilibrium and charge-particle conservations. Transfer equation has been solved to get emitting spectral line profile as an initial value problem using Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method with accuracy as high as 12th order. And we have calculated above non linear differential equations simultaneously as a boundary value problem by finite difference method of 3 points approximation through Feautrier elimination scheme. It is found that all computing programs coded by above numerical methods work successfully for our model atmosphere.

  • Purpose: It can deduce improvement plan that recognizes any risk factors in initial production and mass production by using FMEA and through this process, the appropriate criteria for defence items can be established. Methods: It proposes two methodology - Apply DT/OT data achieved from the beginning mass production stage based on FMECA data of the design stage, to risk management, and risk management plan that reflected line and field faliure data in case of is offered. Results: It proposes the risk management plan through Bayesian method and the risk identification that considered MTTF estimated value in case of initial production process. In case of mass production process, both risk identification by using fault occurrence frequency scores and Byaesian method, In case of the Initial production and mass production, it proposes use both two methods. Conclusion: A more realistic risk identification method can be applied, and by this method the quality improvement effect is expected.

  • The conventional CCPU(Cable Covering Protective Unit) modeling methods which are used by Type 99 and Type 92 in EMTP simulation are firstly discussed in this paper, and then some problems of them are also investigated. Modeling method using Type 99 causes unstable characteristic at initial transient of CCPU operation. Time delay has also effect on the output of CCPU modeling. So, in this paper, a new modeling method for CCPU is designed by DBM(Data Base Module) of EMTP. The characteristic of Type 92 is used for the new modeling method. The reliability of this one is proved by comparing simulation with measured data. Specially, at initial transient, the waveform of the new method shows more stable result than that of conventional method using Type 99. Also, the peak value is similar to measured data.

The investigation of pH threshold value on the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete

  • The aim of this study is to investigate the pH threshold value for the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete. A method was designed to attain the pH value of the pore solution on the location of the steel in concrete. Then the pH values of the pore solution on the location of steel in concrete were changed by exposing the samples to the environment (CO25%, RH 40%) to accelerate carbonation with different periods. Based on this, the pH threshold value for the corrosion of steel reinforcement had been examined by the methods of half-cell potential and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS). The results have indicated that the pH threshold value for the initial corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete was 11.21. However, in the carbonated concrete, agreement among whether steel corrosion was initiatory determined by the detection methods mentioned above could be found.

  • Purpose: To evaluate RBM surface implant which has its good character like that good initial stability, early bone formation. Material and Methods: In this study fixures have divided in 2 group: Machined(Group I), RBM(Group II). Total 10 fixtures were implanted on rabbit which sacrificed on week 2 and week 4 for the histological specimens. By these specimens polarized microscopic view, micro CT view, ISQ value were measured, compared and analysed by each group to figure out the evidence that clinical use of RBM implant. Result: ISQ value had no significance differences between 2 groups, However in each group 4, 8 weeks had higher ISQ value than 2 weeks. In polarized microscope, calcification level was following: Group II, Group I. In micro CT, formation of cancellous bone level was following: Group II, Group I. Conclusion: RBM implant was the most excellent on the early bone formation and good initial stability.

경계요소법의 탄소성문제에 대한 초기응력법의 적용 (Application of Initial Stress Method on Elasto-plastic Problem in Boundary Element Method)

  • The BEM, known as solving boundary value problems, could have some advantages In solving domain problems which are mostly solved by FEM and FDM. Lately, in the elastic-plastic nonlinear problems, BEM could provide the subdomain approach for the region where the plastic deformation could occur and the unknown nodal displacement of this region are added as the unknown of the boundary integral equation for this approach. In this paper, initial stress method was used to establish the formulation of such BEM approach. And a simple rectangular plate having a circular hole was analyzed to verify the suggested method and the result is compared with that from FEM. It is shown that the result of two methods are showing similar stress-strain curves at the root of perforated plate and furthermore the plastic deformation obtained by BEM shows more reasonable behavior than that of FEM.

Apple Quality as Affected by the Precooling Rate and $O_2$ Pulldown Rate in Controlled Atmosphere Storage

  • Quality attributes of apple are greatly affected by the cooling rate and environmental conditions during storage. Studies were conducted to evaluate the effect of cooling rate on different quality attributes of apple. The effect of $O_2$ pulldown rate of the CA chamber on the quality of apple was also determined. Two methods were used viz. conventional CA procedure and rapid CA procedure. Apples stored by medium and slow cooling methods lost its flesh firmness significantly from an initial level of 4.55 kg to 2.83 kg and 2.27 kg, respectively on 35 days after storage whereas, in rapid cooling, the firmness level changed from 4.55 kg to 3.20 kg on 35 days after storage. At the end of 35 days of storage, titratable acidity decreased insignificantly from an initial value of 0.24l% to 0.239% in the case of rapid CA whereas in the case of conventional CA it dropped significantly to 0.215% from its initial level. The initial flesh firmness of 4.55 kg also changed significantly to 4.05 kg on 35 days after storage in conventional CA whereas in rapid CA it changed to 4.36 kg, which was found to be non-significant at 5% level of significance. Total soluble solids increased from an initial level of $12.43^{\circ}$Bx to $12.60^{\circ}C.$ Bx on 35 days after storage in rapid CA whereas it increased to $13.07^{\circ}$ Bx in conventional CA. Ascorbic acid content of apple juice decreased insignificantly from 6.67 mg/100 mL to 5.87 mg/100 mL on 35 days after storage in rapid CA whereas in conventional CA, it decreased significantly to 5.27 mg/100 mL from its initial level.

중복근을 갖는 비비례 감쇠시스템의 고유치 해석 (Solution of Eigenvalue Problems for Nonclassically Damped Systems with Multiple Frequencies)

  • 본 논문에서는 중복근을 갖는 비비례 감쇠시스템의 고유치 해석 방법을 제안하였다. 2차 고유치 문제의 행렬 조합을 통한 선형 방정식에 수정된 Newton-Raphson기법과 고유벡터의 직교성을 적용하여 제안방법의 알고리즘을 유도하였다. 벡터 반복법 또는 부분공간 반복법과 같은 기존의 반복법에서는 수렴성을 향상시키기 위해 변위법을 적용하였으며, 이 값이 시스템의 고유치에 근사하게 되면 행렬분해 과정에서 특이성이 발생한다. 그러나 제안방법은 구하고자 하는 고유치가 중복근이 아닐 경우에, 변위값이 시스템의 고유치 일지라도 항상 정칙성을 유지하며, 이것을 해석적으로 증명하였다. 제안방법은 수정된 Newton-Raphson기법을 이용하기 때문에 초기값을 필요로 한다. 제안방법의 초기값으로는 반복법의 중간결과나 근사법의 결과를 사용할 수 있다. 이들 방법중 Lanczon방법이 가장 효율적으로 좋은 초기값을 제공하기 때문에 Lanczon방법의 결과를 제안방법의 초기값으로 사용하였다. 제안방법의 효율성을 증명하기 위하여 두가지 예제 구조물에 대해 해석시간 및 수렴성을 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 부분공간 반복법과 Lanczon방법의 결과와 비교하였다.

경사법에의한 최적제어 (Optimal Control by the Gradient Method)

  • The application of pontryagin's Maximum Principle to the optimal control eventually leads to the problem of solving the two point boundary value problem. Most of problems have been related to their own special factors, therfore it is very hard to recommend the best method of deriving their optimal solution among various methods, such as iterative Runge Kutta, analog computer, gradient method, finite difference and successive approximation by piece-wise linearization. The gradient method has been applied to the optimal control of two point boundary value problem in the power systems. The most important thing is to set up some objective function of which the initial value is the function of terminal point. The next procedure is to find out any global minimum value from the objective function which is approaching the zero by means of gradient projection. The algorithm required for this approach in the relevant differential equations by use of the Runge Kutta Method for the computation has been established. The usefulness of this approach is also verified by solving some examples in the paper.

양단고정 변단면 도호아-치의 수치해석에 관한 연구 (Numerical Analysis of Tapered Circular Arch with Fixed Ends)

  • The governing differential equations for the tapered circular arch with fixed ends have been derived, and a numerical procedure for the solution of these equations have been developed. The governing differential equations were solved numerically by an initial value integration procedure and Shooting Methods for boundary value problems. The Rungekutta fourth order integration technique was used. The methods was programmed for a Cyber 73-18 computer System, and all esults were obtained on this computer. A detailed study has been made for a fixed arch with an angle of opening equal to 0.7 radian, and the results are presented in detail in tables and curves. It is hoped that the results presented herein is applied to the deformations of gives point from the tri-axial direction of tapered circular arch with fixed ends, bending moment, and torsional moment, and that at the same time results to be used for archwise structures in steel structure.
