The security of the data dealt by the smart city system is important because they have many privacy and public information. Therefore, it is necessary to study security in the smart city system. In this paper, we define the security factors for the smart city system composed of three tiers and describe the technologies for each. In addition, the design and implementation of the security layer in the Smart City middleware for the security management of the urban component in the Smart City Infrastructure and middleware, which is one of the most important issues in the Smart City system, is introduced.

This study developed a flowerbed type infiltration system that could control the amount of runoff discharge under a certain level estimated its proper design infiltration rate, and analyzed the effects of its implementation. Analyzing the performance of infiltration system is the one of the essential processes that should be under review to predict its effects after implementation when a rainwater infiltration system is included in a district-based plan. To estimate the unit design infiltration rate of this system, the runoff decrease effect was analyzed by varying the unit infiltration rate of the system applied to the parking lot adjacent to the Korea Institute of Construction Technology laboratory building by using a water balance analysis program. After varying the unit design infiltration to $0.1{\sim}3m^3/m^2.day$ to analyze the variation in the rate of runoff, 80% of the runoff was infiltrated at $1.0m^3/m^2.day$, and the unit infiltration design rate at the time was 0.0416(m3/m2.hr). It was also found that the unit design infiltration rate obtained from a field infiltration test of the developed system was about $0.045m^3/hr$. Based on this study, it was possible that infiltration rate is estimated to consider the economic scale and environmental effect. It is significant to apply the spatial plan of rainwater infiltration system as green infrastructure.

A web-based Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) supporting system is connected with a Product Data Management (PDM) system for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) suffering from the lack of building hardware, software and related experts. An analysis of current business models and worksite requirements provides an improved process model and data to be shared between the PDM system and the CAE supporting system. Since all engineering tasks such as geometric modeling, mesh generation, static stress and modal analysis, and fatigue durability analysis are automated in the CAE supporting system, the user in charge of the CAE have only to configure the concerned values of design variables and result data through the web page. The existing Change Management module of the PDM system is modified for seamless data exchange, i.e. sending the Engineering Change Order (ECO) data to the CAE supporting system and receiving the CAE result data bark. The hi-directional data transfers between the PDM system and the CAE supporting system is made possible by adaptors bused on the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). The current approach will be very helpful for SMEs that only have the PDM system and have no adequate infrastructure for CAE.

It is necessary to take advantage of this information infrastructure for the purpose of developing an engineering education system. But the networking system was expensive or hard to develop. The current international networking is converging to the use of the World Wide Web system. It has become a new standard for global network communication. But there are not a great number of applications which take full advantage of this environment. In this Imper, an interactive education system for engineering education using the World Wide Web will be presented. This can be used as a supplementary kit for engineering education of synchronous machine design. The system is developed using JAVA and can be accessed using Web browsers.

The paper is design and implementation of the system to support security communication between a Web Browser and a CGI program by a Web Server using PKI(Public Key Infrastructure. This system uses GSS(Generic Security Service)-API to communicate with PKI, offers a Web user a Client Proxy, and offers a CGI developer there library functions related with security. TLS(Transport Layer Security) supports security communication between a Web Browser and a Web Server, but the system supports security communication between a Web Browser and a CGI program as the protected data received from a Client Proxy are sent to a CGI program, and the CGI program decrypts the data using the library functions supported by this system.

We designed the template system for cyber education, which is a software infrastructure for knowledge information society. First, we defined the common functions of our system based on the design principles of cyber education and working results of international standardization group. Second, we think that template system will make a big role in order to deploy the cyber education system. Therefore, we designed the template system for cyber education. Our designed template system is able to implement cyber education system easily such as normal education, technical education, re-education, private education etc. Therefore, This paper describes the practical use environment, configuration of system components, design technique, expected effects on our cyber education template system.

The paper is a design and implementation of the Hybrid Messaging System as integrating electronic mail system and common mail system based on PKI(Public Key Infrastructure), A user writes mail through Web Browser and sends the mail to Web Server. CGHCommon Gateway Interface) program sends the mail that was received through the Web Sever to Post Office Electronic Mail Server using SMTP(SimpleMail Transfer Protocol), The End Process program of the Hybrid Messaging System in a Post Office fetches the mail from the Post Office Electronic Mail Server using POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3), prints it and deliver it to recipients, Also, the Hybrid Messaging System is able to sign the mail with a sign private key that the Certificate Authority publics for users and encrypts the mail with a public key of the Post Office Web Server.

Considering the traffic condition of railroad 'KTX' links to lack of service's punctuality in nation's small/ medium cities, design guidelines with practical railroad transportation policies in terms of convenient railroadbus connection and improving comfortable ride is suggested. Following the guideline and policies, operational requirements of current railroad-bus connection system, the system's design consideration, and transportation policies and laws in relation to the bus operating companies should be analyzed to decide the practicality of the railroad-bus connecting infrastructure. Also, in order to achieve practical railroad-bus connection, connecting buses' design guideline is combined with suggested optimization method of the practicality transportation system. Lastly, the design guideline of buses as 'links,' and railroad transportation policies concerning the operation of connecting bus system for nation's small/medium cities are suggested.
