슈퍼컴퓨터센터의 최적 운영환경을 위한 기반시설 용량 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Infra-Capacity Analysis for Optimal Operating Environments of Supercomputer Center)

  • According to the increasing demands of supercomputer, an exclusive supercomputer building is requested to install a supercomputer for promoting high-end R&D as well as creating the public service infrastructure in the national level. KISTI, as a public supercomputer center with the 4th supercomputer (capacity of 360Tflops), is experiencing shortage of infrastructure systems, caused by increased capacity. Thus, it is anticipated that the situation will be growing serious when the 5th and 6th supercomputers will be installed. On this study, analyzed on the 5th supercomputer system through projecting performance level and optimal operating environments by assessing infra-capacity. Explored way to construct optimal operating environments through infrastructure-capacity analysis of supercomputer center. This study can be of use for reviewing KISTI's conditions as the only supercomputer center in Korea. In addition, it provides reference data for planning the new exclusive supercomputer center in terms of feasibility, while analyzing infrastructure systems.

철도와 지역발전 - 대구권 광역전철망 구상과 지역발전 효과 (A Study on Construction of Metro Rapid Transit Network in Daegu Area)

  • Construction of metro transportation infra is a large-scale project requiring tremendous financial resources. This study suggests operation method to use for rapid transit line existing infra such as Gyeongbu line and spare line capacity following second phase KTX construction. Reviewing various constraints of metro rapid transit operation, we found that the conditions for metro rapid transit operation are already satisfied in Daegu area, just like the case of Gyeongbu line in Seoul Metro area. Also, the evaluation of the economic feasibility of metro rapid transit operation in Daegu area shows that B/C is about 2.4, which implies that there is sufficient economic feasibility. According to the result of sensitivity analysis, the project is economically feasible unless the passenger demand decreases 15% and construction costs increases more than 70%. B/C is evaluated large because the utilization of already exiting infra lowers the initial cost. As one of mass transportation system of large capacity, metro rapid transit can generate significant spillover effect: It will strengthen competitiveness of metro area by connecting cities within the area and by extending one-day life zone of the area, to say nothing of the benefit of improving traffic condition. The construction of metro rapid transit network is necessary for the mass transportation system of Yeongnam area as well as Daegu area, and it may work as a starting point for uniting Daegu and Gyeongbuk and strengthening regional competitiveness.

  • The capacity commonly required sensors includes capability of quickly and properly catching the conditions of a fire and discriminating other factors such as noise, interference, etc. IR flame detector which react to the infra-red rays emitted from the flame. This study is aimed to know the characteristic repond to the specified fire plate. Experiment is acted by manufacture's technical data that is explained relation of detective range and sensitivity.

포항지진의 피해 결과를 반영한 기존 저층 필로티 건물의 지진취약도함수 (Seismic Fragility Function for Existing Low-Rise Piloti-Type Buildings Reflecting Damage From Pohang Earthquake)

  • Current seismic fragility functions for buildings were developed by defining damage state threshold based on story drift concerning foreign references and using the capacity spectrum method based on spectral displacement. In this study, insufficient details and dependence on the core location of piloti-type buildings were not reflected in the fragility function because it was developed before the Pohang earthquake. In order to develop an improved one for piloti-type buildings, several types of core were selected, damage state threshold was determined based on the capacity of structural members, and three-dimensional analyses were utilized. As a result, seismic fragility functions based on spectral acceleration were developed for various core locations and different shear strengths of the column stirrup. The fragility of piloti-type buildings significantly varied according to core location, an additional single wall, and whether the contribution of column stirrup was included or not. To estimate fragility more reasonably, it is necessary to prepare the parameters to reflect actual state well.

  • Enhancements of transport capacity in Gyeongbu line are continuous with the operating cost reduction and Korean economic development. Besides, requirements of a people about speed-up and customer service after the opening of high-speed railway(KTX) are being increased nowadays. Therefore, development and effort for speed increase of high-speed railway(KTX) have to be encouraged and supported by the government. In this study, market and technology trends for speed increase of high-speed train in Korea and abroad were investigated. As a result, we suggested to improve the railway infra for speed increase of high-speed train in Gyeongbu line.

고리형 아민이 포함된 메탄 하이드레이트의 튜닝과 가스 저장 연구 (Tuning Behavior of (Cyclic Amines + Methane) Clathrate Hydrates and Their Application to Gas Storage)

  • 이 연구에서는 메탄 가스(CH4)와 함께 사이클로프로필아민(cyclopropylamine, CPrA)과 사이클로펜틸아민(cyclopentylamine, CPeA)을 이용한 하이드레이트의 튜닝효과, 가스 저장량, 그리고 하이드레이트의 열팽창 거동에 대해 논의하였다. 메탄 가스의 저장량을 극대화시킬 수 있도록 하이드레이트 튜닝 효과를 하이드레이트에 투입된 객체 분자의 농도를 달리 함에 따라 알아보았다. (CPrA+CH4) 하이드레이트의 경우, 0.5 mol% 정도의 농도에서 최대 튜닝효과가 발생하였으며, (CPeA+CH4) 하이드레이트는 기존 연구와 유사한 1.0 mol% 정도의 농도에서 최대 튜닝 효과가 발생하였다. (CPrA + CH4), (CPeA + CH4) 하이드레이트 모두 구조 II 하이드레이트를 형성한다고 알려진(테트라하이드로퓨란 + CH4), (사이클로펜탄 + CH4) 하이드레이트보다 더 많은 가스량을 저장하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 100, 150, 200, 250 K의 조건에서(CPrA + CH4), (CPeA + CH4) 하이드레이트의 분말 X-선 회절 분석을 통해 각 온도별 격자 크기를 알아내고 그 차이를 분석하여 열팽창 거동을 분석하였다. 이에 따라, 객체 분자의 크기 차이로 인해(CPeA + CH4) 하이드레이트의 격자 상수가 더 큰 것으로 확인되었다.

High capacity polymer for nickel determination in environmental samples

  • High AA new high capacity sorbent for preconcentration and determination of nickel in environmental samples was synthesized. The sorbent was synthesized by copolymerization of allyl glaycidyl ether / imminodiacetic acid with N,N-dimethylacrylamide as functional monomers in the presence of N,N-bismethylenacryl amid as cross linker and characterized by Fourier transform infra red spectroscopy, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy. A recovery of 93.6% was obtained for the metal ion with 0.1 M, sulfuric acid as the eluting agent. The sorption capacity of the functionalized sorbent was 55.9 $mgg^{-1}$. The equilibrium sorption data of Ni(II) on polymeric sorbent were analyzed using Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Redlich.Peterson models. Based on equilibrium adsorption data the Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin constants were determined 0.87 (L mg-1), 25.87 ($mgg^{-1}$) $(Lmg^{-1})^{1/n}$ and 171.4 ($Jmol^{-1}$) respectively at pH 4.5 and $20^{\circ}C$.

  • 최근 급속히 증가하는 데이터 트래픽을 지원할 수 있도록 네트웍을 관리해야 할 뿐만 아니라 안정적인 인프라를 유지하기 위해 트래픽 엔지니어링을 지원할 수 있는 MPLS가 필요하게 되었다. 트래픽 엔지니어링은 대규모 사용자가 트래픽을 네트웍 상의 특정 노드를 지나는 사전 지정된 경로로 이동시키는 방법으로 트래픽 플로우를 물리적인 네트웍 토폴로지에 매핑시키는 작업이라고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 RSVP의 트래픽 엔지니어링의 단점을 보완하고 보다 안정된 인프라를 구축하기 위해 ERSVP 시그널링 프로토콜에 대한 진화방향을 제시하고져 한다.
