차량 내 FM라디오를 이용한 VMS서비스 개선 연구 (A Study on Enhancing VMS Services by FM Car Radio)

  • 근래 우리생활 깊숙이 자리잡은 유비쿼터스 개념은 과거 산업혁명 당시와 마찬가지로 사람들로 하여금 새로운 수요와 라이프스타일의 변화를 견인하고 있다. 특히, 교통부문은 '이동'이라는 특수한 여건 때문에 더욱 이러한 트랜드에 민감해지기 쉬운 경향이 있다. 이를 가장 잘 반영하는 것이 콘텐츠 시장이라 할 수 있는데, 최근 민간에서는 변화된 수요에 대응하기 위해서 맞춤형 개인교통정보의 개념을 발 빠르게 도입하고 있다. 하지만, 공공에서는 어떠한가? 불특정다수에게의 운전 중에 기본레벨의 교통정보제공이라는 목적을 가지고 도입된 ITS 1세대 산물인 VMS의 경우, 이러한 변화 속에서 능동적으로 변화하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 불특정다수에게 '평등한 정보제공'이라는 '공공의 역할' 속에서, 고급화되고, 점점 개인단말기기를 선호하는 수요에 대응하기 위한 고도화된 VMS시스템(가칭 FM-VMS)에 대하여 기술하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 소개하는 FM-VMS는 차량 안에 장착된 라디오를 정보제공기기로 사용하여 운전자는 누구든지 음성과 문자를 받을 수 있는 장치이다. 핵심기술은 기존의 FM-DARC와 RDS와는 다른 방송중인 FM 주파수에 직접 디지털 신호를 삽입하는 Water Making기술로 이는 현재 방송 및 보안으로 활용되고 있다. Water Making 기술로 구현된 FM-VMS 시스템에 대한 Test를 통한 검지율은 Test용으로 사용한 VMS 주변 200m안에서 음성과 문자 모두 90% 이상의 검지율을 보였다. FM 주파수를 이용하여 공공(Public)이 구축한 VMS정보를 상대적 교통약자(교통정보의 취약계층)에게 실시간으로 음성으로 지역 교통정보를 제공하고 나아가 자동차 제조사와 연계하여 FM 주파수만으로 라디오 액정을 통하여 VMS 문자정보까지 받아 볼 수 있다면, ITS의 혁신뿐만 아니라, 새로운 부가가치를 창출할 수 있는 전기를 마련할 수 있을 것이다.

지형공간정보 생성을 위한 KOPMSAT-2 영상의 활용성 분석 (Analysis for Practical use as KOMPSAT-2 Imagery for Product of Geo-Spatial Information)

  • KOMPSAT-2(KOrean MultiPurpose SATellite-2)위성은 GSD(Ground sample distance) 1m급 전정색(panchromatic) 영상과 GSD 4m급의 다중분광(multispectral)영상을 동시에 제공하는 세계 7번째 고해상도(High-Resolution) 위성으로 지도제작, 국토모니터링, 환경 등 여러 분야에서의 다양한 활용이 기대된다. 그러나, KOMPSAT-2영상은 다중분광센서(MSC : Multi Spectral Camera)의 복잡성과 보안성에 의해 위성궤도 및 자세정보 등 영상 취득 시 기하학적 정보 및 영상이 제한적으로 제공되고 있어 KOMPSAT-2 영상을 이용한 다양한 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 KOMPSAT-2의 스테레오 영상을 이용하여 DEM 및 정사영상 제작실험을 수행하여 KOMPSAT-2 영상을 이용한 지형공간정보 생성 가능성을 타진하고자 하였다. KOMPSAT-2영상을 이용한 DEM(Digital Elevation Model) 및 정사영상을 제작하기 위해서는 먼저 표정해석(orientation)을 수행하여야 한다. DEM을 제작하여 정확도를 분석한 결과, 전반적으로 수치지도에 비해 표고가 높게 추출되었다. 평지부에서는 평균 1.8m, 구릉지에서는 평균 7.2m, 산지에서는 평균 11.9m의 표고오차를 나타냈다. 본 연구를 통해 생성된 정사영상의 수평위치오차 평균은 ${\pm}3.081m$로 1:5,000 수치지도 수평위치오차 허용범위인 ${\pm}3.5m$ 준하는 것으로 나타났다. KOMPSAT-2호 영상을 이용하여 DEM 및 정사영상을 제작한 결과, 1:5,000급의 수치지도제작 및 지형공간정보 생성에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

스마트폰의 지각된 가치와 지속적 사용의도, 그리고 개인 혁신성의 조절효과 (An Empirical Study on Perceived Value and Continuous Intention to Use of Smart Phone, and the Moderating Effect of Personal Innovativeness)

  • With rapid development of ICT (Information and Communications Technology), new services by the convergence of mobile network and application technology began to appear. Today, smart phone with new ICT convergence network capabilities is exceedingly popular and very useful as a new tool for the development of business opportunities. Previous studies based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) suggested critical factors, which should be considered for acquiring new customers and maintaining existing users in smart phone market. However, they had a limitation to focus on technology acceptance, not value based approach. Prior studies on customer's adoption of electronic utilities like smart phone product showed that the antecedents such as the perceived benefit and the perceived sacrifice could explain the causality between what is perceived and what is acquired over diverse contexts. So, this research conceptualizes perceived value as a trade-off between perceived benefit and perceived sacrifice, and we need to research the perceived value to grasp user's continuous intention to use of smart phone. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structured relationship between benefit (quality, usefulness, playfulness) and sacrifice (technicality, cost, security risk) of smart phone users, perceived value, and continuous intention to use. In addition, this study intends to analyze the differences between two subgroups of smart phone users by the degree of personal innovativeness. Personal innovativeness could help us to understand the moderating effect between how perceptions are formed and continuous intention to use smart phone. This study conducted survey through e-mail, direct mail, and interview with smart phone users. Empirical analysis based on 330 respondents was conducted in order to test the hypotheses. First, the result of hypotheses testing showed that perceived usefulness among three factors of perceived benefit has the highest positive impact on perceived value, and then followed by perceived playfulness and perceived quality. Second, the result of hypotheses testing showed that perceived cost among three factors of perceived sacrifice has significantly negative impact on perceived value, however, technicality and security risk have no significant impact on perceived value. Also, the result of hypotheses testing showed that perceived value has significant direct impact on continuous intention to use of smart phone. In this regard, marketing managers of smart phone company should pay more attention to improve task efficiency and performance of smart phone, including rate systems of smart phone. Additionally, to test the moderating effect of personal innovativeness, this research conducted multi-group analysis by the degree of personal innovativeness of smart phone users. In a group with high level of innovativeness, perceived usefulness has the highest positive influence on perceived value than other factors. Instead, the analysis for a group with low level of innovativeness showed that perceived playfulness was the highest positive factor to influence perceived value than others. This result of the group with high level of innovativeness explains that innovators and early adopters are able to cope with higher level of cost and risk, and they expect to develop more positive intentions toward higher performance through the use of an innovation. Also, hedonic behavior in the case of the group with low level of innovativeness aims to provide self-fulfilling value to the users, in contrast to utilitarian perspective, which aims to provide instrumental value to the users. However, with regard to perceived sacrifice, both groups in general showed negative impact on perceived value. Also, the group with high level of innovativeness had less overall negative impact on perceived value compared to the group with low level of innovativeness across all factors. In both group with high level of innovativeness and with low level of innovativeness, perceived cost has the highest negative influence on perceived value than other factors. Instead, the analysis for a group with high level of innovativeness showed that perceived technicality was the positive factor to influence perceived value than others. However, the analysis for a group with low level of innovativeness showed that perceived security risk was the second high negative factor to influence perceived value than others. Unlike previous studies, this study focuses on influencing factors on continuous intention to use of smart phone, rather than considering initial purchase and adoption of smart phone. First, perceived value, which was used to identify user's adoption behavior, has a mediating effect among perceived benefit, perceived sacrifice, and continuous intention to use smart phone. Second, perceived usefulness has the highest positive influence on perceived value, while perceived cost has significant negative influence on perceived value. Third, perceived value, like prior studies, has high level of positive influence on continuous intention to use smart phone. Fourth, in multi-group analysis by the degree of personal innovativeness of smart phone users, perceived usefulness, in a group with high level of innovativeness, has the highest positive influence on perceived value than other factors. Instead, perceived playfulness, in a group with low level of innovativeness, has the highest positive factor to influence perceived value than others. This result shows that early adopters intend to adopt smart phone as a tool to make their job useful, instead market followers intend to adopt smart phone as a tool to make their time enjoyable. In terms of marketing strategy for smart phone company, marketing managers should pay more attention to identify their customers' lifetime value by the phase of smart phone adoption, as well as to understand their behavior intention to accept the risk and uncertainty positively. The academic contribution of this study primarily is to employ the VAM (Value-based Adoption Model) as a conceptual foundation, compared to TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) used widely by previous studies. VAM is useful for understanding continuous intention to use smart phone in comparison with TAM as a new IT utility by individual adoption. Perceived value dominantly influences continuous intention to use smart phone. The results of this study justify our research model adoption on each antecedent of perceived value as a benefit and a sacrifice component. While TAM could be widely used in user acceptance of new technology, it has a limitation to explain the new IT adoption like smart phone, because of customer behavior intention to choose the value of the object. In terms of theoretical approach, this study provides theoretical contribution to the development, design, and marketing of smart phone. The practical contribution of this study is to suggest useful decision alternatives concerned to marketing strategy formulation for acquiring and retaining long-term customers related to smart phone business. Since potential customers are interested in both benefit and sacrifice when evaluating the value of smart phone, marketing managers in smart phone company has to put more effort into creating customer's value of low sacrifice and high benefit so that customers will continuously have higher adoption on smart phone. Especially, this study shows that innovators and early adopters with high level of innovativeness have higher adoption than market followers with low level of innovativeness, in terms of perceived usefulness and perceived cost. To formulate marketing strategy for smart phone diffusion, marketing managers have to pay more attention to identify not only their customers' benefit and sacrifice components but also their customers' lifetime value to adopt smart phone.

Farm to abattoir conditions, animal factors and their subsequent effects on cattle behavioural responses and beef quality - A review

  • The current review seeks to highlight the concerns that have been raised on pre-slaughter stress, contributing factors and its consequent effects on cattle behavioural responses and the quality of beef; inter-linking the activities involved from birth to slaughter. Such information is crucial in light of the consumer concerns on overall animal welfare, quality of meat and food security. Slaughter animals are exposed to different conditions during production and transportation to abattoirs on a daily basis. However; the majority of studies that have been done previously singled out different environments in the meat production chain, while conclusions have been made that the welfare of slaughter animals and the quality of meat harvested from them is dependent on the whole chain. Behaviour is a critical component used to evaluate the animals' wellbeing and it has been reported to have an effect on product quality. Apart from the influence of on-farm, transportation and abattoir conditions, the genetic background of the animal also affects how it perceives and responds to certain encounters. Stress activates the animals' hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal activity, triggering release of various stress hormones such as catecholamines and cortisol, thus glycogen depletion prior slaughter, elevated ultimate pH and poor muscle-meat conversion. Pre-slaughter stress sometimes results to cattle attaining bruises, resulting to the affected parts of the carcass being trimmed and condemned for human consumption, downgrading of the carcass and thus profit losses.

비선형 Tent-Map을 이용한 RFID 인증 프로토콜 설계 (Design of an RFID Authentication Protocol Using Nonlinear Tent-Map)

  • RFID(Radio-Frequency IDentification)시스템은 무선으로 사물을 식별하는 기술로 물류, 운송, 유통, 재고관리 등과 같은 물품관리를 획기적으로 개선할 수 있는 새로운 방법이다. 그러나 무선을 사용하고 있는 RFID는 통신구간에 대한 보안의 취약성 때문에 정보 누출 및 변조 같은 위험성을 가지고 있다. 우리는 이런 RFID 통신 시스템에 복잡계의 대표적인 계인 Tent-Map을 적용하여 새로운 인증 프로토콜을 설계하였다. 복잡계의 대표적인 특징인 초기치 민감성과 불규칙성을 RFID의 Reader 와 Tag에 적용하여 보다 견고하고 간략한 인증시스템을 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 보인 복잡계를 이용한 RFID 인증 프로토콜 설계는 기존의 Hash 함수나 난수에 의존되었던 인증 시스템에 차별화된 새로운 방법으로 그 활용성을 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 전기안전에 대한 부가서비스 같은 저전압 전기설비의 온라인 감시시스템 구축을 위한 국내외 실태조사를 수행하였다. 일본은 미래 정보화 사회를 위해 IT 기본법에 근거한 온라인 전기설비 감시시스템 서비스를 실시하고 있으며, 전기안전뿐만 아니라 지진이나 방범등의 부가서비스를 실시하고 있었다. 미국 및 유럽에서는 전력선 통신을 사용하여, 온라인 감시 및 빌딩군 관리 서비스를 실시하고 있었다. 국내에서도 전기안전과 관련하여 디지털 수배전반 등을 통해 누설전류 측정, 부하관리 등에 대한 서비스를 일부 기업에서 서비스를 실시하고 있었다. 실태조사를 통해, 국내에서도 시장 활성화를 위한 법, 제도적 개선이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

핀테크(fintech) 사용자와 시스템 특성이 지각된 인식과 지속사용의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Characteristics of User and System on the Perceived Cognition and the Continuous Use Intention of Fintech)

  • 본 연구는 핀테크 사용자 및 시스템 특성이 지각된 인식과 지속사용의도에 미치는 영향을 주는 요인이 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 자료수집은 광주광역시에 거주하고, 스마트폰 등을 사용하는 직장인 등을 대상으로 600명의 설문을 수행하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 사용자들은 핀테크 서비스에 대한 자기효능, 혁신성, 적합성은 핀테크 서비스의 지각된 인식과 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 시스템 특성은 핀테크 서비스의 지각된 인식 및 사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사용자 특성과 시스템 특성에서 위험성에 대한 가설은 기각되었는데, 개인정보 및 전자금융거래가 유출에 의한 금융사기 등의 피해사례가 급증함에 따라 개인정보유출 및 보안에 대한 우려를 가장 우선시하는 것으로 보인다. 따라서 핀테크 서비스를 확산시키기 위해서는 기업의 마케팅 전략으로 편리성과 사용의도를 저해하는 위험성 등의 불편사항을 제거해 줄 수 있는 핀테크 서비스 전략이 수립되면 효과적일 것이라고 사료된다.

한국 소방용 방화복의 치수체계 개발 (Sizing System Development of Korean Structural Firefighting Protective Clothing)

  • Sizing system of Korean structural firefighting protective clothing that is national approved should be met for specification of structural firefighting protective clothing that is identified by Ministry of Public Administration and Security(MOPAS). However if you look over the specification of sizing system, the standard is based on only 'height' and the others are indicated as the size of completed product. KS K ISO 13688 and EN 340 which is met on ISO 13688 which indicates sizing system about protective clothing has the standards of height, chest and waist circumference. Also NFPA 1971 that has standards of sizing system is based on chest circumference, cervical to wrist length, waist circumference and inseam. That is different from Korean standards. Therefore, fire fighting protective clothing standards which is based on only height should be compensated and not be relied on foreign standards like ISO. It is indispensable for developing our own sizing system of structural fire fighting protective clothing. In this studying, Korean new sizing system of structural fire fighting protective clothing was developed for providing basic information of ergonomic structural fire fighting protective clothing. The analyzed target age was between 20 and 59 years old fire fighter who extinguish the fire. And it was analyzed by 3D measurement among data of the $5^{th}$ Size Korea. On conclusion, in case of structural fire fighting protective clothing coat, physical dimension was to be chest circumference, cervical to wrist length. Three dimensions as 5cm space of circumference and four dimensions as 2.5cm space of cervical to wrist length were derived, which means that totally 12 dimensions were defined. Dimension standards of pants was based on the analysis of waist circumference and crotch height. Six dimensions as 5cm space of waist circumference and three dimensions as 5cm space of crotch height were derived, which means that totally 14 dimensions were defined.

Evaluation of Corn Production Based on Different Climate Scenarios

  • Agriculture is the lifeblood of the economy in Ghana, employs about 42% of the population work force and accounts for 30% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Corn (maize) is the major cereal crop grown as staple food under rain fed conditions, covers over 92% of the total agricultural area, and contributes 54% of the caloric intake. Issues of hunger and food insecurity for the entire nation are associated with corn scarcity and low production. The climate changes are expected to affect corn production in Ghana. This study evaluated variations of corn yields based on different climate conditions of rain-fed area in the Dangbe East District of Ghana. AquaCrop model has been used to simulate corn growing cycles in study area for this purpose. The main goal for this study was to predict yield of corn using selected climatic parameters from 1992 to 2013 using different climate scenarios. The Model was calibrated and validated using observed field data, and the simulated grain yields matched well with observed values for the season under production giving an R squared (R2)of 0.93 and Nash-Sutcliff Error(NSE) of 0.21. Study results showed that rainfall reduction in the range of -5% to -20% would reduce the yield from 1.315ton/ha to 0.421ton/ha (-21. 3%) whereas increasing temperature from 1% to 7% would result in the maximum yield reduction of -20.6% (1.315 to 1.09 ton/ha.). On the other hand, increasing rainfall from 5-20% resulted in yield increment of 68% (1.315-2.209 ton/ha) and decreasing temperature produce 7% increase in yield ( 1.315 to 1.401ton/ha). These results provide useful information to adopt strategies by the Government of Ghana and farmers for improving national food security under climate change.

가변길이 고속 RSA 암호시스템의 설계 및 하드웨어 구현 (Design and Hardware Implementation of High-Speed Variable-Length RSA Cryptosystem)

  • 본 논문에서는 RSA 암호 알고리즘의 연산속도 문제에 초점을 맞추어 동작속도를 향상시키고 가변길이 암호화가 가능하도록 하는 새로운 구조의 1024-비트 RSA 암호시스템을 제안하고 이를 하드웨어로 구현하였다. 제안한 암호시스템은 크게 모듈러 지수승 연산 부분과 모듈러 곱셈 연산 부분으로 구성되었다. 모듈러 지수승 연산은 제곱 연산과 단순 곱셈 연산을 병렬적으로 처리할 수 있는 RL-이진 방법을 개선하여 적용하였다. 그리고 모듈러 곱셈 연산은 가변길이 연산과 부분 곱의 수를 감소하기 위해서 Montgomery 알고리즘에 4 단계 CSA 구조와 기수-4Booth 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 제안한 RSA 암호시스템은 하이닉스 0.35$\mu\textrm{m}$ Phantom Cell Library를 사용하여 하드웨어로 구현하였고 최대 1024-비트까지 가변길이 연산이 가능하였다. 또한 소프트웨어로 RSA 암호시스템을 구현하여 하드웨어 시스템의 검증에 사용하였다. 구현된 하드웨어 RSA 암호시스템은 약 190K의 게이트 수를 나타내었으며, 동작 클록 주기는 150MHz이었다. 모듈러스 수의 가변길이를 고려했을 때, 데이터 출력률은 기존 방법의 약 1.5배에 해당한다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안한 가변길이 고속 RSA 암호시스템은 고속 처리를 요구하는 각종 정보보호 시스템에서의 사용 가능성을 보여주었다.
