Purpose. to help them find mental rest and improve school life adjustment by way of a fine art cure program. Methods. two primary schools in Gyeongsangnam-do were chosen where there are plenty of multiple-family kids. 13 children from the families between Korean husbands and foreign wives were divided into 2 groups: experimental group (7, C School), control group (6, H School). The two groups took the KSD (Kinetic School Draw), while the experimental group received a fine art cure program (40 minutes, once a week, 10 times in total). After the program, the KSD was given again to both groups. To prove the effects of this study, the picture projection test KSD was given before and after the experiment. For comparison and analysis, the changes in each individual's attitude, behavior, responses, and emotions were observed and recorded. Results. The fine art treatment program had some effects on the psychological rest of the elementary school children from multiple-culture families. In the pretest before the art cure program, the subjects shrank and cared a lot about others. According to the progress of the program, however, their worries and anxiety began to be gone. They had confidence through mental ease and self-respect. Therefore, the fine art cure program had a positive effect on the improvement of self-respect and sociality of multiple-culture family kids. Their school life was influenced by the newly-attained confidence, achievement, and peer relationship. Conclusions. This research is of some significance in that the fine art cure program was held to reveal its effects on the school life adjustment of the elementary school kids from multiple-culture families, especially because worries grow about the possibility of their maladjustment in the era of multiple-culture families. In addition, this program is expected to give some basic information about the development of programs to make friendly relations and smooth communication among the multiple-culture parents and teachers as well.

This study aimed at examining the career decision level of Clothing and Textile major college students in Seoul area. With the increasing rates of youth unemployment, preparing college students for their future career and guiding them in making career decision is imperative. Students' satisfaction with their major and motivation orientation were considered as influencing factors, as well as their demographic characteristics. A survey was conducted to 282 students majoring Clothing and Textiles at seven universities and 277 completed questionnaires were used for analysis. The questionnaire measured respondents' major satisfaction, motivational orientation, career decision level, and demographics (gender, age, school and department names, class standing, expected graduation date, subjective social status, and GPA). Descriptive statistics, K-means cluster analysis, one-way analysis of variance followed by Duncan multiple comparisons were conducted. The results indicated that Clothing and Textiles majors were overall satisfied with their major, but the satisfaction level was higher for female than male students. Those who were satisfied with their major were less likely to feel anxious about career decision-making. The High-Motivation group and the Intrinsic-Motivation group showed lower anxiety over career decision-making compared to Low-Motivation and Extrinsic-Motivation groups. This study has implications for college advisors in that it provides basic information on students' career decision level and the influencing factors.
Background : Validity of WHO guideline of cancer pain management has been proven and many trials have been done to derive solutions for inadequate cancer pain management. We assessed the severity of pain of terminal cancer patients in a few different ways and patients' characteristics influencing inadequate pain management. Methods : This study was based on 100 adult oncological patients who were confirmed as terminal stage in our institution from 3/1998 to 11/1998. Medical records were reviewed and individual patients were interviewed to obtain demographic information and medical characteristics such as: daily activity performance, metastasis, and drug-adjusted pain severity. Adequacy of prescribed analgesics in accordance with WHO guidelines of pain management and patients' characteristics influencing adequacy of pain management were assessed. Results : Among those cancer patients diagnosed as terminal stage, 85% complained of pain, and 68% of those patients reported pain above moderate severity. 38% of those patients received inadequate pain management resulting in greater severity of pain; the less adequate pain relief was(p<0.01). Sex, age, primary cancer site metastasis, symptoms such as depression and anxiety, and daily activity performance were not significantly related. Conclusions : Despite WHO guidelines for pain management, majority of the terminal cancer patients received inadequate pain management. There is a necessity for education on proper pain evaluation and strict implimentation for WHO guidelines of pain management.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze differences of perceived career barriers based on demographic characteristics of cyber university students. The results of this study will provide a valuable basis for guiding adult learners in their career development. Subjects included 937 adult learners at cyber universities in Seoul, Korea, aged 20 and above. Results were as follows: The level of career barriers perceived by females aged 20-29 who were unemployed and single were higher than that of males aged 30 to 59 who were employed and married. Female students were higher in 'anxiety of future', 'lack of interest', 'lack of job information', 'interpersonal difficulty'. The only component in which subjects aged 50-59 perceived higher than other age groups was 'conflict with important people'. There was no significant differences by grade. These results imply that the perception of the career barriers of adult learners should be considered in customizing career development programs and career counselling.
Pain is a complex perceptual experience that is profoundly influenced by a number of variables, differing in quality as well as in intensity. Therefore we need to understand the actual experience of multiparous women in order to provide basic information for nursing care. The purpose of the study is to explore the experience of labor pain. The data are collected through in-depth interviews of 17 multiparous women in city of Pusan from October 1998 to March 1999. The interviews were conducted 1-2 days after delivery in the admission room. Each interview lasted about 45 minutes on average. Subjects were interviewed one at a time. The interviews were recorded with the consent of the subject. Data were analyzed by means of Giorgi's Phenomenological analysis methods and categorized according to the similarities of its contents. The investigator read the data repeatedly to identify themes and categories. Six categories that were identified were : 1) pain 2) regret 3) acceptance 4) maturity 5) accomplishment 6) newness. Under these categories there were seventeen themes. I. Pain: 1) too dependent on others 2) too painful 3) fear or anxiety from previous painful experience 4) avoidance of pain 5) couldn't control the pain II. Since social network service (SNS) has been widely used as a effective way for people to connect and communication with each other, the use of corporate SNS account also has increased. However, compared to a private SNS account, only few people have a continuous relationship with their corporate SNS account because the use of corporate SNS account tends to be one-time and temporary activity whenever the users just need events and information. Given the psychological side effects of using SNS, the relative lack of empirical studies on the impacts of emotional factor in SNS prevents the deeper understanding of the intention to continuous using corporate SNS account. Therefore, this study aims to explore key determinants of the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account from a habit and emotional perspective. To bridge research gap, we attempt to divide emotional factor into the following 5 factors based on Mehrabian and Russell model (1974): intimacy, enjoyment (positive factor), privacy concern, anxiety (negative factor), arousal (arousal factor) and (dominant factor). The basic model is proposed to explore the effects of habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. We then examine how the effects of habit and emotional factors differ depending on social media types (e.g., facebook and twitter). The results indicates that habit is related to emotional factors, and each emotional factor differently influences the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. The results also confirm that the effects of the habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account differ according to social media types. This study provides practical and useful guidance and the strategic marketing insight for managers in maintaining and improving the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between treatment belief, personal control, depressive mood, and health-related quality of life in patients with hemodialysis based on self-regulation theory. Methods: Data were collected from 220 patients at 27 local hemodialysis clinics in Seoul during 2013 and 2014. The Revised Illness Perception Questionnaire, the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, and Medical Outcomes Study Short Form-12 were used to measure outcome variables. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression using the 'enter' method. Results: Treatment belief and personal control scored 3.58 and 3.54 out of 5 points respectively, on average. Treatment belief and personal control of kidney disease were negatively correlated with depressive mood and positively correlated with health-related quality of life. According to the regression analysis, treatment belief, monthly income, and personal control were discovered to account for 21.8% of the variance in depressive mood, where as depressive mood, monthly income, treatment belief, and age were found out to account for 40.6% of the variance in health-related quality of life. Conclusion: Our study demonstrated significant positive relationships between treatment belief and illness outcome in hemodialysis patients. Interventions aimed to provide the necessary information and trust to maximize the effectiveness of treatment need be developed to improve patients outcomes.
The purpose of this study was to provide information on how to expend participation in and raise awareness of the Green Parking Project. A survey was conducted for this study among two groups. One group consisted of 38 residents of the Green Parking Zone in Nam-gu, Ulsan, and the other group consised 129 residents with no experience with the Green Parking Project. For analysis, the frequency and means were calculated, and t-test, analysis of variance, and chi-square test were performed. The results showed, first, that general residents tended to think that parking on the street in front of one's house is a divine right, while residents living the Green Parking Zone thought that the street is a public space. Second, general residents regarded fences as means of security to protect their private property, while people living in the Green Parking Zone tended to think of their yards as semi-private spaces and allowed access to neighbors. Third, general residents had concerns about maintenance and administration fees, noise and dust, security of houses, and privacy. However, residents of the Green Parking Zone evaluated those conditions positively. Fourth, people who were well-informed about the Green Parking Project had low anxiety about security and invasion of privacy, results from the project. Therefore, effective public relations are very important for expanding participation and raising awareness.
