Generation of Control Signals in High-Level Synthesis from SDL Specification

  • This paper suggests a methodology in which control signals for high-level synthesis are generated from SDL specification. SDL is based on EFSM(Extended Finite State Machine) model. Data path and control part are partitioned into representing data operations in the from of scheduled data flow graph and process behavior of an SDL code in forms of an abstract FSM. Resource allocation is performed based on the suggested architecture model and local control signals to drive allocated functional blocks are incorporated into an abstract FSM extracted from an SDL process specification. Data path and global controller acquired through suggested methodology are combined into structural VHDL representation and correctness of behavior for final circuit is verified through waveform simulation.

Korean Sentiment Analysis Using Natural Network: Based on IKEA Review Data

  • In this paper, we find a suitable methodology for Korean Sentiment Analysis through a comparative experiment in which methods of embedding and natural network models are learned at the highest accuracy and fastest speed. The embedding method compares word embeddeding and Word2Vec. The model compares and experiments representative neural network models CNN, RNN, LSTM, GRU, Bi-LSTM and Bi-GRU with IKEA review data. Experiments show that Word2Vec and BiGRU had the highest accuracy and second fastest speed with 94.23% accuracy and 42.30 seconds speed. Word2Vec and GRU were found to have the third highest accuracy and fastest speed with 92.53% accuracy and 26.75 seconds speed.

  • Public R&D investment information has diverse implications for researching R&D trends. Also, as it is important for the establishment of R&D policy to grasp the current situation and trends of R&D to improve science and technology level, science and technology information service system, such as NTIS (National Science & Technology Information Service), is operated at a national level in most countries. However, since the data forms provided by current NTIS are raw data, it is necessary to develop the R&D performance indicator or to use additional scientometric methods by analyzing scientific papers or scientific R&D project information for grasping R&D trends or analyzing R&D task results. Thus, this study applied public R&D investment information to investigate and monitor R&D trends in the field of information & communication technology (ICT) of meteorology and climatology by using NTIS data of Korea and NSF (National Science Foundation) data of USA.

  • An analog multiplier-divider circuit that realized through the use of OTAs, which does not require external passive circuit elements and temperature compensated, is proposed in this paper. Since the scheme is realized in such a way that employs only OTA as a standard cell, the circuit is simple and can be easily constructed from commercially available IC. The circuit bandwidth is wide and close to the transistor f$\sub$T/. Simulation results that demonstrate the performances of the multiplier-divider circuit are included.

  • In this paper, a next generation high speed QPSK transmitter is designed based on 1.8${\mu}$m design rule. The designed transmitter supports the MPEG2-TS coded packed data for the DAVIC standard. Transmitter is composed of the convolutional coder, the shortened Reed-Solomon coder, and QPSK modulator. The coded packets are modulated in APSK with an RC filter. Especially, Galois Field multiplier with a standard basis is designed with the pipelined parallel architecture. Also, in the QPSK modulator, the RC filter and mixer are simplified into the ROM table, which can improve the performance of the transmitter. The total number of gates for the implemented baseband transmitter is 26,875.

  • 고속철도 시스템은 열차의 운행에 요구되는 각종 제어 신호의 공급을 위해 LTE(Long Term Evolution)를 기반으로 하는 LTE-R(LTE-Railway) 방식의 이동통신 기술을 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 LTE-R 기반 철도통신시스템에서 사용되는 응용서비스를 중심으로 철도통신의 기술 동향에 대하여 살펴보고, LTE-R 기술의 표준화 동향에 대해서도 고찰해 본다. 본 연구의 결과는 LTE-R 및 철도 이동통신의 연구 및 개발에 있어 기본 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • 최근 실내조명으로 사용하는 LED(Light Emitting Diode)와 무선통신 기술을 융합한 가시광통신이 주목받고 있다. 하지만 가시광 통신은 광 신호를 측정할 수 있는 커버리지 내에서만 통신이 가능하고, 비가시선 영역에서 통신이 단절되는 현상이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 가시광 통신의 커버리지 확장과 비가시선 영역에서 통신 단절 현상 개선을 위해 VLC(Visible Light Communication) 릴레이 모듈을 제안한다. 제안하는 VLC 릴레이 모듈은 송신기로부터 전달받은 패킷을 VLC 릴레이 모듈 및 수신기로 전송한다. 1개의 VLC 송신기와 3개의 VLC 릴레이 모듈을 설치하여 실험을 진행하였으며, VLC 릴레이 모듈의 증가에 따른 통신 커버리지 확장과 비가시선 영역에서 통신 단절 현상 개선을 확인하였다. 또한, 이중 샘플링 기법을 사용하여 광 신호 측정 성능이 2.4배 향상됨을 확인하였다.

Designing of Dynamic Sensor Networks based on Meter-range Swarming Flight Type Air Nodes

  • Dynamic sensor network(DSN) technology which is based on swarming flight type air node offers analyzed and acquired information on target data gathered by air nodes in rotation flight or 3 dimension array flight. Efficient operation of dynamic sensor network based on air node is possible when problems of processing time, data transmission reliability, power consumption and intermittent connectivity are solved. Delay tolerant network (DTN) can be a desirable alternative to solve those problems. DTN using store-and-forward message switching technology is a solution to intermittent network connectivity, long and variable delay time, asymmetric data rates, and high error rates. However, all processes are performed at the bundle layer, so high power consumption, long processing time, and repeated reliability technique occur. DSN based on swarming flight type air node need to adopt store-and-forward message switching technique of DTN, the cancelation scheme of repeated reliability technique, fast processing time with simplified layer composition.

개인의 위치를 보호하기 위한 효율적인 더미 생성 (Efficient Dummy Generation for Protecting Location Privacy)

  • 위치기반서비스(LBS; location based services)에서 사용자의 위치를 보호하는 연구가 많은 관심을 받아오고 있다. 특히 k-익명화(k-anonymity)를 이용한 연구가 가장 인기 있는 사생활 보호 기법이다. k-익명화란 k-1개의 다른 더미(dummy) 또는 클라이언트를 선택하여 클로킹 영역을 계산하는 기법을 말한다. 질의자는 신뢰할 수 없는 서버 또는 공격자에게 1/k의 확률로 자신의 위치 노출 확률을 줄일 수 있다. 그러나 더미가 사용자 주변에 밀집되어 있거나 질의자가 존재할 수 없는 곳에 더미가 생성된다면 질의자의 위치가 공격자에게 노출될 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서 우리는 실제 도로환경을 고려해서 더미를 생성함으로서 사용자의 위치보호를 높일 수 있는 시스템 모델과 알고리즘을 제안한다. 실험 결과를 통하여 제안기법의 우수성을 증명하였다.

A Testbed of Performance Evaluation for Fingerprint Based WLAN Positioning System

  • Fingerprint positioning is a main stream and key technique for seamless positioning systems. In this paper, we develop a performance evaluation testbed for fingerprint based Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) positioning system. The testbed consists of positioning server, positioning terminal, Access Point (AP) units, positioning accuracy analysis system and testing scenarios. Different from other testbeds tended to focus on testing in same situation, in the proposed testbed, a couple of scenarios are set to test the positioning system including indoor and outdoor environments. Handset-side positioning mode and network-side positioning mode are provided simultaneously. Variety of motion models, such as static model, low-speed model and high-speed model are considered as well as different positioning algorithms. Finally, some implementation cases are analyzed to verify the credibility of the testbed.
