  • 근래에 원격지 감시와 제어하는 기술이 발달하고 있다. 또한 홈 네트워크 서비스의 보편화와 초고속 통시망의 폭넓은 확대로 인하여 디지털 비디오 기술을 이용한 감시체계가 점차 늘어나고 있다. 웹에서 제공하던 감시 체계를 사용자가 좀 더 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 기존의 웹을 기반으로 하던 디지털 감시 체계에 개인 단말기를 이용하여 사용자가 이동 중에도 인터넷이 되는 곳에서 이 모듈을 제어할 수 있도록 구현하였다.

서울지역 노인들의 근린시설 이용실태와 근접정도에 대한 분석 (The analysis of elderly using behavior and propinquity of neighborhood facilities)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine elderly using behavior and propinquity of neighborhood facilities and to analyze the relationship of propinquity and using behavior of each neighborhood facility. The results of the study indicated that the elderly are using more frequently and living more close to leisure facility such as sports/health facility, hobby/education facility, and entertainment facility. Age and health status of the elderly were the important factors on the use and propinquity of neighborhood facilities. On the other hand, the elderly having higher education and economic status were more likely to use and live close to leisure facilities. For the elderly, the need of physical propinquity to neighborhood facilities and providing information about the facility location were required. For the mid-aged people, the education about leisure culture of the later-hood years were suggested since the use of neighborhood facility is depending on one's habit.

  • Scientists planning research that involves the use of animals are required by international and/or national law to examine the possibilities for the implementation of Replacement, Reduction and/or Refinement (the Three Rs principles of Russell and Burch) in experiments for research, testing, and education. There are two Korean laws legislating humane use of animals and ethical review prior to animal experiments. This report reviews current practice of the literature search by the researchers and protocol review by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees on the Replacement, Reduction and Refinement alternatives in Korea. The promotion and protection of the laboratory animals are one of the core competencies of investigators exploring the ethical conduct of research and good science.

  • In the article, in connection with the goal and the hypothesis put forward, the following tasks were formulated: Based on the analysis of literature and existing pedagogical experience, the possibilities, features and pedagogical conditions for the use of educational telecommunication projects were specified. The selection of topics and content of educational telecommunication projects for use has been carried out. Research methods: theoretical analysis of psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature, projects of educational standards in computer science and information technology, study of the state of the problem in teaching practice, questioning.

대학생의 정보리터러시에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (Information Literacy: Identification of Factors Affecting Undergraduate Students)

  • 선행연구를 고찰하여, 정보리터러시 관련 교육에 대한 노출, 각종 정보원에 대한 경험, 정보 이용 관련 교수진의 조언, 개인적 배경 등을 정보리터러시에 영향을 미치는 독립변인으로, 정보리터러시 태도와 실제 능력을 종속 변인으로 추출하고, 대학생을 대상으로 한 측정도구를 고안하여 조사를 수행한 후, 관련 요인의 현황과 요인간 관계 및 영향력 정도를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 정보리터러시의 개인별 집단별 차이, 낮은 도서관이용교육 노출과 교수진의 조언 등이 문제점으로 드러났으며, 컴퓨터와 인터넷 교육, 각종 정보원 이용 경험 성별과 전공계열 등이 정보리터러시에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 입증되었다. 연구결과에 기초하여 정보리터러시 향상을 위한 사회의 인식전환, 이용교육의 실질적 변화, 고등교육기관 및 관련 협회의 유기적 협력과 노력 등이 제안되었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정보 이용 교육의 이론적 배경과 미국의 정보 이용 교육과정을 살펴보고, 우리 나라 초${\cdot}$중등 학교 교육에서 적용할 수 있는 정보 이용 교육과정을 개발, 실천한 사례를 교과 교육의 관점에서 고찰하는데 있다. 정보 사회의 학교 교육은 정보능력의 개발과 이를 위한 정보 이용 교육과정의 필요성이 요구되고 있다. 급속히 변화하는 정보 사회에서 학교에서 배우는 지식은 그 유용성이 짧기 때문에 새로운 정보와 지식을 다루는 정보능력 교육의 중요성이 증가하고 있는 것이다. 정보능력은 문헌 정보, 영상 정보, 전자 통신 정보 체험 정보 등 각종 정보 매체를 통한 정보의 접근, 분석, 적용, 평가 능력을 의미한다. 정보이용 교육과정은 자신이 가지고 있는 지식과 새로운 정보를 탐구하여 모든 정보 과제를 해결하고 새로운 정보를 창조할 수 있는 정보능력을 함양하기 위한 교육과정이다.

  • The Purpose of this study was to develop a data base system for the information on science education research and development. As a part of this study, an analysis of papers on science education included in five selected jounals related science education was done by the use of the authors classification system for the research and development materials of science education. A total of 640 papers from the first issues to the 1991 issues of the journals were classified and analyzed. The selected five journals were Journal of the Korean Association for Research in Science Education (published by The Korean Association for Research in Science Education, 148 papers), Teaching Physics(published by Korean Physical Society, 164papers), Chemical Education (published by The Korean Chemical Socity, 98 papers), The Korean Journal of Biological Education(published by The Korean Society of Biological Education, 148papers), and Journal of Science Education (published by Science Education Center.College of Education, Seoul National University, 82 papers).

잡지 의류광고의 정보원 이용과 의복관여도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship of Use of Clothing Advertisements in Magazines as an Information Source to Clothing Involvement)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of use of clothing advertisements in magazines as an information source to clothing involvement. Questionnaires were administered to 131 women living in Sangju City during April of 2000. Data were analyzed by using factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe test. Attitude toward clothing advertisements in magazines was factor analyzed resulting three factors such as quality information & degree of use, fashion & brand information, and communication. Clothing advertisement was not considered as a useful information source and was not understood the message of advertisement clearly. There were significant differences between high involvement group and low involvement group in attitude toward clothing advertisements as information sources. High involvement group considered clothing advertisements as information sources more positively and used advertisements to search information about fashion and product quality. Also, significant differences were shown according to marriage state, age, and education level.

How Do Low Achieving Students in an Urban High School Learn with Information?: An Exploratory Study

  • This study investigates how high school students with low academic achievement seek and use information. Participants were seven US students in an American Literature and Composition course of the $11^{th}$ grade Remedial Education Program who completed a class project that required comprehensive information seeking and use. Data were collected through comprehensive observation and individual interviews with each student, the teacher, and two library media specialists. Additionally, we gathered and analyzed the instructions the teacher and the two library media specialists provided and all documents each student produced to complete the class project. The process of data analysis was supported by QSR NVivo. The findings of the study implied that students experienced cognitive and affective challenges for their information seeking and use required for the tasks and suggested that technological and individual conferencing would motivate the students to continue their information seeking and use. We then conclude the study with some important implications that can be used as a basis for designing information literacy instructions for students with low academic achievement.

  • 요즘 거론되는 이공계의 위기는 국가 경쟁력을 저해하는 중대한 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 이공계의 위기를 구체적으로 정량화하기 위해, 구조방정식모형을 이용하여 전공과 인성적 측면에서의 학생들의 공학교육 만족도 지수를 산출하였다. 도출된 지수를 바탕으로 공학 교육의 현 주소를 데이터 마이닝 기법을 활용하여 분석하고 그 결과를 토대로 공학 위기 극복을 위한 발전적 전략을 제시하였다.
