There are currently about 6000 bacterial species with validly published names, but scientists assume that these may be less than 1% of bacterial species present on the earth. Microbial resource is one of the most important bioresources in bioinderstry and provides us with high economic values. To find missing ones, the studies of metagenome, metabolome, and proteome about microbes have started recently in developed countries. We construct the information system that integrates information on microbial genome resources and manages the information to support efficient research of microbial genome application, and name this system 'Bio-Meta Information System (Bio-MIS)'. Bio-MIS consists of integrated microbial genome resources database, microbial genome resources input system, integrated microbial genome resources search engine, microbial resources on-line distribution system, portal service and management via internet. In the future, we will include public database connection and implement useful bioinformatics software for analyzing microbial genome resources. 차세대 의료 정보 교환 표준인 FHIR는 빠른 의료정보 교환이 가능할 뿐 아니라 효과적인 다양한 의료서비스가 가능하다. 본 논문은 FHIR 리소스를 보안 채널기반의 무선 데이터 방송에 적용하여 사용자에게 효율적으로 리소스를 전달할 수 있도록 하기 위해 FHIR 리소스 기반의 인덱싱 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 인덱싱 기법은 리소스를 받고자 하는 사용자 정보와 사용자에 대한 FHIR 리소스를 유지하여 대량의 사용자가 빠른 시간에 적은 에너지를 사용하여 원하는 리소스를 다운로드할 수 있도록 한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안된 인덱싱 기법이 다른 기법들 보다 우수한 성능을 보임을 보였다.

Considering the need for quality health information and resultant health care services in any society, this study was carried out to look into the status of library and information resources and services provided by medical libraries in Enugu State, Nigeria. The main objective of the study was to find out the information resources and services available for medical library users towards quality health care provision. Five (5) medical libraries of major teaching hospitals were used for the study with 980 registered users as the study population from where 245 users were sampled. Observation checklist was used to collect data on resources while questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents on the services provided. The Medical Library Association Standard guided the analysis of data from observation while frequency counts and mean scores were used to analyze data from the questionnaire. Major findings showed that even though some of the required resources and services are available and provided the medical libraries, most of the required resources and services are not adequately provided by these libraries.

This paper proposes the registration information, the participation information for classifying demand resources participate in demand response program. Modeling demand resources from them, it evaluates values of demand resources. Specially assuming that ignore the loss in power system, they take a role as generation. This paper proposes how to evaluate demand resources' values. Case study shows that demand response operators schedule efficiently demand response program by using index of such as the registration information the participation information of demand resource.

KIGAM(Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources) has finished to digitalize geological maps of 1/50, 000 scales in 1999. This project is supported by the Korea Ministry of Information and Communication under the name of "Knowledge and Information Resources Management Project". And via geo-clearing house, KIGAM has begun to sale the geological maps that are modified more correctly now June, 2002. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the status of digital geological mapping in Korea. And to introduce Clearing House and future plans of KIGAM.

In general, mineral resources prospect is performed in several methods including geological survey, geological structure analysis, geochemical exploration, airborne geophysical exploration and remote sensing, but data collected through these methods are usually not integrated for analysis but used separately. Therefore we compared various data integration techniques and generated final mineral resources potentiality map.

This paper aims to determine the preference and use of electronic information and resources by blind/visually impaired users in the leading National Capital Region (NCR) libraries of India. Survey methodology has been used as the basic research tool for data collection with the help of questionnaires. The 125 in total users surveyed in all the five libraries were selected randomly on the basis of willingness of the users with experience of working in digital environments to participate in the survey. The survey results were tabulated and analyzed with descriptive statistics methods using Excel software and 'Stata version 11'. The findings reveal that ICT have a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities as it helps them to work independently and increases the level of confidence among them. The Internet is the most preferred medium of access to information among the majority of blind/visually impaired users. The 'Complexity of content available on the net' is found as the major challenge faced during Internet use by blind users of NCR libraries. 'Audio books on CDs/DVDs and DAISY books' are the most preferred electronic resources among the majority of blind/visually impaired users. This study will help the library professionals and organizations/institutions serving people with disabilities to develop effective library services for blind/visually impaired users in the digital environment on the basis of findings on information usage behavior in the study.

The objective of this study is to analyze demands and important level of rural amenity resources information in rural development consulting. For this study, the questionnaire survey was implemented to regional development consulting companies and organizations with three parts. The first part is about the methodologies in using for the rural development consulting, particularly, the collect processes of the amenity resources information and methods to establish development strategy are included in the questionnaire. In second part, essential factors for constructing the information system of rural amenity resources are investigated. Finally, the rural development project types were classified, and performed an analysis of important level for the rural amenity resources utilizing AHP technique. According to results of this study survey, the demands from residents are the most important factor for establishing rural development plan, and the relationship among neighboring regions and the amounts of rural amenity resources are also considered as important factors. The most important rural amenity resources are different as rural development project types.

본 연구는 국내 대학도서관의 전자자원 메타데이터와 관련된 현황을 살펴보고, 정보조직 패러다임 및 목록 환경의 변화에 대응하기 위한 방향성을 제시하기 위함이다. 국내 대학도서관의 전자자원 도입 및 조직과 최근 정보자원 조직의 동향을 살펴보았고, 디지털콘텐츠 구축 건수 상위 30개 대학도서관의 홈페이지를 방문하여 현황과 문제점을 조사하였다. 앞으로 전자자원을 포함한 다양한 유형의 정보자원을 통합적으로 관리하고, 접근성을 강화하여 이용자들에게 확장된 목록의 기능을 제공하여야 할 것이다.

최근 인터넷의 급속한 보급과 네트워크 자원을 비롯한 전자자료의 급증, 메타데이터의 출현 등으로 목록분야에 있어 환경이 크게 급변하고 있다. IFLA를 비롯한 관련 기관들이 이와 같은 변화에 대응하여 많은 연구와 함께 규칙들을 정비하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 디지털 전자자료의 목록과 관련하여 시대별로 주요한 흐름을 분석한 후, 전자자료의 목록과 직접적인 관련이 있는 ISBD(ER), AACR2R 2002 개정판, MARC 21, 더블린 코어, 한국목록규칙 제4판을 중심으로 보다 자세하게 살펴보았다. 그리고 오늘날 인터넷 자료를 조직하기 위해 시도되고 있는 대표적인 방법으로 인터넷상의 웹 페이지를 자동으로 색인하는 방법, 웹 자료를 기술하기 위해 고안된 더블린 코어 등과 같은 메타데이터를 이용하는 방법, 도서관에서 전통적으로 시행하고 있는 MARC 형식으로 목록하는 방법에 대해 비교 분석하였다.
