The objective of this study is to provide a basis for information literacy instruction in college education. For this purpose, assignments and surveys were distributed to the students in a 3 credit course that deals with the characteristics of information society and information literacy competency. Assignments and surveys were about identification of the information needed and access to the needed information, since that is the first step for the information seeking process. The results were analysed by qualitative methods.
New occupational qualification system built on NCS(National Competency Standard) aimed to induce industries, the final appliers of qualification, to play a leading role in designing qualification and to spontaneously apply such qualification standard to employment and promotion so as to reinforce universality of qualification. In this study, we verified the validity of NCS level of qualification categories for 130 occupational fields by redesigning NCS-based new occupational qualification system with a focus on 7 major areas, including mechanical field, which were found to have wide-ranging social ripple effect throughout society and high acceptability in 2014. The results of study on suitability at qualification level suggested the followings: First, there is a difference in number of competency units for each qualification category, depending on area. New qualification covering 7 major areas included 15.3 competency units for each qualification category, which exceeds the number of competency units(about 10 units) in subdivided NCS. By field, some difference was found with 7.9 competency units for cultural field and 22.6 competency units for information and communication area. Second, preference above normal level was observed in the criteria, procedure and method for determining qualification redesigning. However, preference below normal level was exhibited in connection with possibility of linkage with overseas qualifications, although preference was above normal level in relation to the suitability of design/qualification level and qualification categories based on lifelong career development path within scope of NCS as the criteria for determining the redesign of qualification categories. Second, we compared NCS level and SC(Sector Council level, and the results showed that NCS level was found to be somewhat well-defined. For the qualifications with different definitions, it was deemed difficult to determine superiority between NCS level and SC level. However, majority opinion indicated that it would be desirable to follow NCS level because NCS was created through collection of opinions for a prolonged period.
This study is a descriptive research study for investigating the factors influencing clinical reasoning competency of senior grade nursing students. This study was targeted at 160 senior grade nursing students in M city and G city and data was collected from April 15, 2019 to May 15, 2019. The collected data was analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program, and t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were carried out. There was a significant correlation between clinical reasoning competency, critical thinking disposition, metacognition, and empathy. The factors influencing the clinical reasoning competency included metacognition(${\beta}=.48$, p<.001), critical thinking disposition(${\beta}=22$, p=.021), and empathy(${\beta}=-.19$, p=.012). These variables explained 35.0% of the clinical reasoning competency. Based on the results of this study, a demonstration study for developing a convergence education program including metacognition, critical thinking disposition, and clinical reasoning competency and verifying its effect is necessary.
Purpose : This study can provide various implications for the franchisors to expand activities related to franchise support or to develop andoperate an education program for foodservice franchise owners. Research design, data, and methodology : For those purpose, first, the literatureand literature related to the competency of domestic franchise owner were collected and reviewed through the Korea Education and Research Information Service (RISS). Second, the questionnaire was prepared based on the theoretical basis prepared through previous studies. Based onthe foodservice franchise owner's competency model presented by Kim & Lee (2019b), 13 franchise owner's competencies were marked with both 'What is' levels and 'What should be' levels. Therefore, the total questionnaire consists of 26 questions. Third, questionnaires were distributed and collected. This study used data from 55 surveys which were gathered from foodservice franchise owners in Seongnam-si. SPSS 25.0 was used to analyze the collected survey data. Descriptive and frequency analysis were conducted to analyze the demographic characteristics of the study subjects. Next, we conduct a t-test to analyze the difference between the level of 'What is' competencies by the franchise owners and the level of 'What should be' competencies. Descriptive statistics were used to derive the priorities of the 'What should be' competencies. The Locus for Focus model was used to derive the priorities of the required competencies. Result : Four competencies of team leadership, teamwork and cooperation, customer service, technical·professional·managerial expertise were found to be the first to be developed. Conclusions : The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, teamwork and cooperation competnecy, and team leadership competency, which are derived from the core competencies of foodservice franchise owners, are among the leadership competencies required as managers of organizations. Second, customer service competency and ttechnical·professional·managerial expertise competency derived from the core competencies of restaurant franchise owners belong to the job competencies. Third, the results of this study suggest that the foodservice franchisors will be able that will serve as a baseline to support the foodservice franchisors and franchise owners for sustainable mutual growth by encouraging their will and encouraging them to create results.
This study explored the theoretical basis of the teaching competency of university professors in the future society represented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution through literature analysis and the researcher's council. To this end, this study first derived the implications for cultivating of teaching competency of university professors according to the social needs of future social universities. Next, according to the social needs of future social universities, the teaching competency required for university professors was presented. Finally, based on this theoretical argument, the concept of teaching competency of professors in the future society was defined and its sub-elements were presented. As a result of this study, the teaching competency frame of professors in the future society was proposed with 8 capabilities in 3 areas including 2 ability to respond to change, 2 ability to promote innovation, and 4 ability to instruct. Through the theoretical basis proposed in this study, it is hoped that the university professors' teaching competency development plan will be established to prepare for the instability of the uncertain future in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. In addition, it is expected that innovation and change strategies of each university will be established, and class innovation strategies will be established to meet the needs of students.
In Korea, the number of recalled products is steadily increasing annually, but the recall participation rate of consumers is very low. This study looked at recall competency as a necessary factor for active recall participation by consumers. And identify the components of the recall competency and identify the recall competence factors that influence recall experience. To this end, we examined the recall experience and recall capacity of 1,626 adult consumers in Korea. As a result, five factors of recall participation will, recall related skill, recall policy recognition, subjective knowledge and objective knowledge were derived. As a result of comparing recall competencies among recall experience and non-recall experience, there were statistically significant differences in all competency factors. Recall related skill and subjective knowledge competency were significant factors for recall experience. In order to improve the effectiveness of the recall system, it is important to improve the recall information and increase access to information retrieval in order to increase the recall participation rate by strengthening the recall capacity of consumers.

The knowledge-information-processing competency is the most essential competency in a knowledge-information-based society and is the most fundamental competency in the new problem-solving ability. Data-driven science inquiry, which emphasizes how to find and solve problems using vast amounts of data and information, is a way to cultivate the problem-solving ability in a knowledge-information-based society. Therefore, this study aims to develop a teaching-learning model and strategy for data-driven science inquiry and to verify the validity of the model in terms of knowledge information processing competency. This study is developmental research. Based on literature, the initial model and strategy were developed, and the final model and teaching strategy were completed by securing external validity through on-site application and internal validity through expert advice. The development principle of the inquiry model is the literature study on science inquiry, data science, and a statistical problem-solving model based on resource-based learning theory, which is known to be effective for the knowledge-information-processing competency and critical thinking. This model is titled "Exploratory Scientific Data Analysis" The model consisted of selecting tools, collecting and analyzing data, finding problems and exploring problems. The teaching strategy is composed of seven principles necessary for each stage of the model, and is divided into instructional strategies and guidelines for environment composition. The development of the ESDA inquiry model and teaching strategy is not easy to generalize to the whole school level because the sample was not large, and research was qualitative. While this study has a limitation that a quantitative study over large number of students could not be carried out, it has significance that practical model and strategy was developed by approaching the knowledge-information-processing competency with respect of science inquiry.

In this paper, we propose a study to develop and apply competency-based elementary school teacher training programs for maker education according to the steps of the DACUM-based Systematic Curriculum and Instructional Development (SCID) procedure model. According to the stages of the DACUM-based SCID (Systematic Curriculum and Instructional Development) procedure model, the educational goals, contents, objects, time, methods, and prerequisite subjects of the maker education training program were derived, and based on this, a competency-based training program was developed. In addition, the effectiveness of the program was verified by applying the developed program. As a result of applying the developed training program and evaluating its effectiveness, it was confirmed that overall positive results were found. We expect this training program to be of help in strengthening the competency of elementary school teachers in maker education.

In this paper, we analyse empirically the relation between the IT competency of the Group enterprises, and the management performance of the subsidiary IT service firms in Korea. The 24 IT service firms and relative Group enterprises are included for analysis. The various hypotheses established are validated by t-test method statistically. The results shows that IT competency level of the Group enterprises was affected by not only their sales volumes, new investment volume of IT service, but system management(SM) and inner captive market's sales volume of subsidiary IT service firms also. Additionally the sales volume of IT service firms was affected positively by their inner-captive market's sales, system management sales volume, and the sales volume of their Group enterprise. The service competency of the subsidiary IT service firms is shown as more high in the lower intensity of outer-captive and system integration(SI) business, as well as in the upper intensity of inner-captive and SI business.

In this paper, we propose a Leveled Micro-Degree Job Competency Certification Model that considers the level of the job based on the job defined in the NCS. There is a mismatch of manpower due to the problem of university education that cannot keep up with the rapidly changing technological environment caused by the 4th Industrial Revolution. The Nano-Degree and Micro-Degree systems designed to solve this problem are used for job competency certification of cyber security personnel. NCS sub-categorized job field is defined as Micro-Degree and detailed job by ability unit is defined as Nano-Degree, the level of the ability unit defined by level is equally applied to the Micro-Degree. And it is a system that certifies the job competency corresponding to the degree-based university academic background. By applying this system to the curriculum of Cyber Security School, Yeungnam University College, we proposed a method to configure the Nano-Degree course based on NCS duties. The method proposed in this paper can be used as a method for verifying job competency of Nano-Degree and Micro-Degree, which are recently introduced by many universities.
