  • In this paper, from the pervious studies investigating the current status of distance learning due to COVID-19, the needs of teachers for effective distance learning were analyzed. As a result, it was found that support related to distance learning contents was necessary. Specifically, it is necessary to establish a platform specialized for content production for distance learning, expand teacher training related to content production and operation, and improve the copyright system related to content production. In addition, since distance classes differ from those of back-to-school classes in system and characteristics, it is necessary to supplement the institutional aspects for distance classes. It is judged that it is necessary to support the evaluation method suitable for distance learning, the authority to operate the curriculum, and the learning management system. In addition, it was analyzed that it is necessary to expand the infrastructure for distance learning, and a structure and platform for self-directed improvement programs and self-directed distance learning are needed to prevent the learning gap problem from repeating due to distance learning.

  • The purpose of the study was to identify the untact medical services campaign awareness in COVID-19 era using Q methodology. We used subjective analysis for this purpose and examined 1) what are the types of untact medical services campaign awareness? and 2) what are the homogeneous characteristics and implications between each type? We composed a Q concourse through interviews with university students to write Q statements, selected a P sample, and used Q-sort obtained from the sorting process to analyze it through Q-factor analysis in the PC QUANL program. Q methodology was used to examine the subjective tendency of untact medical services campaign awareness in COVID-19 era. As a result of the analysis, four types were identified. 1) Type 1 (N=7): Belief & official announcement type, 2) Type 2 (N=4): Governmental notice type, 3) Type 3 (N=3): Medical information public notice type, 4) Type 4 (N=2): Sympathetic information type. An insightful analysis was derived in that the analysis could identify factors in the schema of respondents related to untact medical services in COVID-19 era.

  • This study aims to examine satisfaction of nursing students with online classes during first semester of 2020 after COVID-19 pandemic and the difference in satisfaction according to general and online-related characteristics. An online survey was conducted for all nursing students, and subsequently 627 responses were analyzed by t-test and ANOVA with SPSS WIN. Result reveals that students ability to use IT devices was above average, and most of them used laptop computers. Pre-recorded video lecture format was used the most, and improvement of online content was demanded the highest. Overall satisfaction with online classes was scored 3.0/5.0, with the highest satisfaction for anytime and anywhere learning, and the lowest satisfaction in recommending online classes to others. There were significant differences between self-evaluation on own grade, ability to use IT devices, format of online classes, and satisfaction about online classes. Through this study, it would be possible to suggest a plan to increase satisfaction of online class and basic data to establish university policy for online classes after COVID-19.

  • This study compared the behavior of using the reading room of the university library before and after COVID-19 and confirmed the changes and characteristics. As a subject of the study, 579,555 reading room usage data for the 2019-2021 school year, three years before and after the outbreak of COVID-19, were collected and analyzed for reading room utilization. In addition, the purpose of visiting the library was compared based on 120,090 data usage logs, and the relationship between the characteristics and usage rate of each reading room was analyzed. Ultimately, it is intended to suggest a way to increase utilization by reflecting the needs of users derived from changes in usage behavior during the COVID-19 period in the reading room space of the university library. It is hoped that the results of this research will be used as basic data for the operation of library reading rooms and the establishment of space reconstruction policies to cope with the New normal era after pandemic.

  • Purpose: A change is expected in the pattern of respiratory viruses including human coronavirus (HCoV) after the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. Accordingly, identifying the distribution of respiratory viruses before the COVID-19 outbreak is necessary. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the results of samples of nasal swabs collected from children under aged ≤18 years who were hospitalized at Myongji Hospital, Gyeonggi-do due to acute respiratory infections from 2017 to 2019. Viruses were detected by real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results: Out of 3,557 total patients, 3,686 viruses were detected with RT-PCR including coinfections. Of the 3,557 patients, 2,797 (78.6%) were confirmed as PCR-positive. Adenovirus and human rhinovirus (hRV) were detected throughout the year, and human enterovirus was most detected during summer. Respiratory syncytial virus, influenza virus, and HCoV were prevalent in winter. In patients with croup, parainfluenza virus was most frequently detected, followed by hRV and HCoV. The PCR positive rate in summer and winter differed significantly. Conclusions: Respiratory virus patterns in northwestern Gyeonggi-do were not much different from previously reported data. The data reported herein regarding respiratory virus epidemiological information before the COVID-19 outbreak can be used for use in comparative studies of respiratory virus patterns after the COVID-19 outbreak.

The subjects were the 43 PATPs performed in 4 Community Health Centers of Gimcheon, Jeongeup, and Pyeongtaek. The basic data was collected by official documents, expenditure budget, the homepage of the centers, national information disclosure portal, telephone interview, and e-mail with the person in charge of the programs. All the data were classified to the administrative districts, the health-related fitness variables, and the life cycles. The American College Sports Medicine Guidelines were used to evaluate the PATPs. As a results, the number of the PATPs was too small compared to the population of the regions. Also, the PATPs were not considered to the characteristics of participants such as Life-Cycle and regional facilities so on. The organization and management of the PATPs were principally deficient in improving health-related fitness variables. In 2020 as the period of COVID-19 pandemic, the number of programs and participants with face-to-face PATPs was significantlry decreased compared to 2019, while that was increased with non-face-to-face PATPs. In conclusion, PATPs should be increased and operated in accordance with scientific exercise prescription guidelines. Also, the programs should be considered with the proportion and characteristics of Life-Cycle population. Further, the various with non-face-to-face PATPs should be developed and screened with based on scientific data for post-corona virus pandemic. Further, non-face-to-face PATPs programs should include a kind of practical way to promote the individual physical activity.

First, it is inevitable to urgently execute the project from the perspective of cities and counties in Gangwon-do, where the promotion of urban regeneration projects has been delayed due to COVID-19 incident. As a result, it is highly likely to cause the employees overloaded and have negative effect on achieving the goals of urban regeneration, so, it is necessary to provide support measures at the government and provincial level, such as the actual execution index and the adjusting time of start and completion of particular business. Second, as the uncertainty of COVID-19 continues, it needs to strengthen the operation and monitoring of urban regeneration support centers in Gangwon-do and examine the changes in business operation plans in advance. In particular, the decrease in visitors to traditional markets and restaurants is expected to have a direct effect on small business owners engaged in the service industry. Therefore, it is necessary to actively consider the utilization plans of smart city regeneration, such as online shopping and non-contact payment. Third, it is necessary to phase in smart urban regeneration training focused on information weakness to narrow the digital gap, in preparation for general lifestyle changes such as contactless and non-face-to-face interactions. At a time when new light is being shed on local areas, which are quieter than heavily populated cities, a project that reflects the regional characteristics and culture of Gangwon-do is necessary.
