The data used in this work is from various sources like UN, CIA, World bank, OECD reports and the home pages of each country. The purpose of the study is to evaluate what resources are most influential to the wealth of a country, to the well-bring of the country, or the status of the country's development. For this, data visualization method is applied. Data visualization technique, although powerful for exploratory purposes, is dependent upon the users expertize and the interpretation is also dependent on the of the users. For objective methods of investigation, mutual information based on the Shanon's entropy theory is applied here. All the statistical methods employed in this paper are processed with DAVIS (Huh and Song, 2002)

  • Web technology has allowed the rise of services such as blogs or YouTube that make possible the sharing of opinions, perspectives, and experiences with other users through contents. Online services that promote such sharing of information and communication are known as social media. Recently, the explosive growth of these services displays the carry-over of the natural sociality that all humans possess as social creatures. This study took an exploratory approach in investigating what influential relationships are involved in forming new relationships through sharing and participation, as sharing and participation are core keywords of social media. In order to do this, relationship formations were observed in actual usage environments with the use of the diary study method and in-depth interviews. This study sought to deduce necessary elements in relationship formations and examine the influences of weak ties on participation and sharing.

  • Objectives : The concurrent use of Korean Medicine (KM) and Western Medicine (WM) for the management of disease are increasing. In this study, the factors determining the choice of concurrent use of KM and WM was investigated based on national survey data for the public. Methods : Survey data from 1239 people with experience treating diseases with KM were utilized for this study. The national survey data were gathered using e-mail and face-to-face interviews between December 2007 and January 2008. Results : Among people who had been treated with KM, 819 (66%) used both KM and WM to the treat same disease. Multivariable analysis revealed that concurrent users of KM and WM were significantly associated with age 40-69 (OR=1.43, 95% CI=1.12-1.82), university education or higher (OR=1.34; 95% CI=1.05-1.71), enhanced health status (OR = 0.47, 95% CI=0.35-0.62) and unsatisfied with WM (OR = 1.71, 95% CI=1.02-2.87). The respondents that reported KM was more effective than WM among concurrent users of KM and WM were significantly associated with being an office worker (OR=1.78, 95% CI=1.25-2.53), age 40-69 (OR = 0.62, 95% CI=0.44-0.86), unsatisfied with WM (OR=2.61, 95% CI=1.51-4.50) and overall satisfied with KM (OR=8.38, 95% CI=5.65-12.44) Conclusions : This study showed that two-thirds of KM user were concurrent user of KM and WM, and some influential factors determined the choice of a concurrent use of KM and WM. Therefore, Korean Medicine Doctors should consider the possibility of concurrent use, need to know the information on the benefits and risks of concurrent use.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine what motivates users to adopt one of the emerging applications for collaborative consumption of sharing economy. Using the self-determination theory, motivation theory and TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) as the theoretical framework, this study illustrates important factors that influence adoption of collaborative consumption service. We develops the ICTs(Information and Communications Technologies) initiatives and motivation model to collaborative consumption. Design/methodology/approach This paper makes use of a quantitative methodology using survey questionnaire that allows for the measurement of the eight constructs(System Availability, Contents Quality, Design & Personalization, Security & Privacy, Emotional & Social Value, Economic Value, Attitude, Adoption & Consumption) contained in the hypothesized theoretical model on the basis of the prior literatures. Data collected from a sample of 227 respondents who have used the collaborative consumption services and provided the foundation for the examination of the proposed relationships in the model. Findings This study has the following implications for the users and providers of CC platforms and services. The ICTs initiatives (System Availability, Contents Quality, Design & Personalization, Security & Privacy) are the influential factors that motivate the emotional and social value to CC. On the other hand, The ICTs initiatives (System Availability, Contents Quality) are not very significant factors of economic value to CC. The empirical analysis result indicate that there are significant causal effect among emotional & social value, economic value, and adoption to CC. This study provides important theoretical implications for innovation adoption research through an empirical examination of the relationship between ICTs initiatives, motivation factors to collaborative consumption in the sharing economy.

  • In line with the increase in consumer demand for mobile games, game companies face stiff competition. For a more successful marketing strategy, many game companies actively adopt Cross Promotion. The Cross Promotion marketing strategy in the mobile game is regarded as a low cost and high efficiency marketing method because the game companies provide new experiences to game users by utilizing existing game infrastructure and absorbing current users of game companies. Despite the advantages of Cross Promotion, there has been little practical study on the relationship between Cross Promotion and mobile game acceptance. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to determine the influential factors of Cross Promotion on the acceptance of mobile games. After reviewing previous research, a structural model was established, a survey was performed and the model was analyzed. The managerial implications are suggested along with the concluding remarks.

  • This study has surveyed the professors and graduate students of school of medicine at K university, to analyze the medical library users' service quality perceptions on electronic journals and their effects on the customer satisfaction. Two groups of faculty members and graduate students has statistically significant different perceptions on the service quality of electronic journals. Among four sub-dimensions of service quality, there are no statistically significant differences in the perceptions between two groups in convenience of use, accessability, and content resources, but there is significant differences in supportiveness between two groups. In the perceptions on the satisfaction and value, faculty group has significantly higher perceptions on both of them. The most influential dimension of the service quality of the electronic journal for the perception on the satisfaction is supportiveness followed by convenience of use and content resources. Moderating effect of value on service quality, its sub-dimensions, and satisfaction is not proved statistically.
