Exploring the Phenomenon of Consumers' Experiences of Reading Online Consumer Reviews

  • This paper aims to explore the analysis of the meanings and processes of reading online consumer reviews and to construct a substantive theory that explains the process involved with the phenomenon of reading consumer reviews. In order to explore the phenomenon, this study employs a qualitative methodology. Following the grounded theory perspective, the researcher conducted interviews with 17 participants, who have subsequently shopped online and utilized online consumer reviews for shopping, and decidedly employed in-depth interviews with those participants. Through coding and making constant comparison, several themes emerged: improving confidence, trusting reviews, getting a sense of who reviewers are, seeking balance, processing and handling negative reviews, experiencing vicariously, increasing searchability, getting a sense of who they are in terms of similarity, and seeking benefits and the usage situations from consumer based reviews. Among the emerging themes, improving confidence can be considered a core category, which is influenced by the analysis of trusting reviews and the consumer vicarious experiences with a product. Moreover, this study discusses the relationships among the themes. This study concludes with a discussion of the results, implications, and limitations.

  • This study discussed for library development of the 3 dimensional design system for the progressive developmental world wide plant industry. Its previous background had spatial limitation by utilizing 2 dimensional CAD. This work presented an effective mode for improving man-hour by applying with 3 dimensioal design system through theoretical definition, category, and means of basic man-hour. We researched an effective method for reducing man-hour through applied example on the actual project by comprehending affection of extra development for library on man-hour.

  • As the flexible displays have been considered as a breakthrough to make a new electronics category, transparent electrodes have also confronted with an emerging issue, i.e., they also need to be mechanically flexible. For this to be made possible, a transparent electrode capable of withstanding large amounts of strain must be developed. Indium tin oxide (ITO) has been one of the most widely adopted transparent electrodes for displays and other transparent electronics, mainly supported by its high electrical conductivity and optical transparency. However, its brittle nature has forced the display industry to search for other alternatives. Recently, advances in nano-material researches have opened the door for various transparent conductive materials, which include carbon nanotube, graphene, Ag and Cu nanowire, and printable metal grids. Here we reviewed recently-published research works introducing flexible displays, all of which are employing the novel candidates for a conducting material.

식품산업에 있어서 포장두부의 전과정평가 사례연구 (Case Study on the Life Cycle Assessment of the Packaged Bean-curd in Food Industry)

  • This study has been analyzed an execution example of the life cycle assessment on the packaged bean-curd of P company, the first case of the regular life cycle assessment on the processed foods in Korea and considered on the significance and directions of the life cycle assessment on the foods. It is possible to divide the potential environmental impact through the life cycle of the bean-curd into six categories and analyze the environmental impact on the production, use and disposal phases of the product. The values of each environmental impact have been quantified from the strength of the potential impact fur the corresponding category of impact. In the future, it is expected that the result of the lift cycle assessment will be increasingly used fur many areas such as Climate Change Convention and ISO22000, etc. and it is required to promote a project to make database through the assessment on the individual corps or types of businesses for it from now on.

  • The paper is based on data collected from the Amazon website (specific in the Handmade's Category) to understand and analyze Vietnamese artisans' business context. Data analysis is also applied to determine the factors that bring success Handmade products and compare products of the same industry among competitors to find out potential products. By collecting data from Amazon and analyzing the data, we extracted useful information for online business developers. Besides, the list of potential products in Handmade sector can be referred to improve the business and compete with competitors. This paper also proposes solutions to help Vietnamese products become more appealing to international customers on the Amazon website.

Classification of ultrasonic signals of thermally aged cast austenitic stainless steel (CASS) using machine learning (ML) models

  • Cast austenitic stainless steels (CASSs) are widely used as structural materials in the nuclear industry. The main drawback of CASSs is the reduction in fracture toughness due to long-term exposure to operating environment. Even though ultrasonic non-destructive testing has been conducted in major nuclear components and pipes, the detection of cracks is difficult due to the scattering and attenuation of ultrasonic waves by the coarse grains and the inhomogeneity of CASS materials. In this study, the ultrasonic signals measured in thermally aged CASS were discriminated for the first time with the simple ultrasonic technique (UT) and machine learning (ML) models. Several different ML models, specifically the K-nearest neighbors (KNN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) models, were used to classify the ultrasonic signals as thermal aging condition of CASS specimens. We identified that the ML models can predict the category of ultrasonic signals effectively according to the aging condition.

인터넷 영화의 유통구조와 인터넷 영화산업의 공간적 집적화 (The Distribution Structure of the Internet Movie and Spatial Clustering of the Internet Movie Industry)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인터넷이 발달함에 따라 최근 주목받고 있는 인터넷 영화산업의 공간적 분포와 입지적 특성을 파악하고, 인터넷 영화산업의 가치사슬과 인터넷 영화의 유통구조를 분석하고, 인터넷 영화 사업체들의 연계성과 이들의 공간적 집적화 현상을 파악하려는 것이다. 인터넷 영화산업은 영화 콘텐츠와 관련된 기술의 발달, 인터넷의 광대역화와 초고속통신망의 확충 및 영화 컨텐츠에 대한 수요 증가로 인해 급성장하고 있다. 우리나라 인터넷 영화산업의 74$\%$는 서울에 집중하고 있었으며, 서울에서도 강남구와 서초구 일부지역에 집적하고 있다 인터넷 영화산업의 입지선정에 영향을 준 중요한 요인으로는 동종$\cdot$유사업체의 근접성, 교통의 편리성, 장소의 지명도, 기술관련 업체와의 근접성 순으로 나타났다. 인터넷 영화산업은'콘텐츠 공급 $\rightarrow$ 콘텐츠 유통 $\rightarrow$ 서비스 공급'이라는 가치사슬로 이루어져 있자만, VOD판권 소유자, VOD판권 유통대행사, 서비스 공급자들이 가치사슬 전반에 참여하면서 매우 복잡한 유통구조를 형성하고 있다. 인터넷 영화사업체들은 인터넷 영화를 서비스하기 위해 영화 콘덴츠 제공업체 기술 $\cdot$ 운영지원업체, 주요 고객업체, 그리고 협력 $\cdot$ 제휴업체들과의 긴밀한 네트워킹을 구축하고 있으며, 이들은 국지적으로 집적하여 공식적, 비공식적인 모임을 통해서 시너지 효과를 창출하고 있다.

지역사회 중심의 산욕기 산모 추후관리 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초조사 (A Preliminary Study with the Objective of Developing a Community based Postpartum Women's Follow-up Program)

  • The purpose of this study was to discern the level of satisfaction of postpartum care in hospitals. the level of importance of traditional postpartum care and the need for home health care for postpartum women. The study's design was to obtain data needed to develop a community-based postpartum care program and to improve the quality of nursing for postpartum care recipients. Data for the study was collected from 1 March to 31 June 2000 from 116 postpartum care recipients treated in Chung-Buk, Korea. Data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, t-test, and ANOVA. using SPSS win program. The results the of analysis were as follows: 1) The level of satisfaction of postpartum care in the hospital (mean 1.31) was very low. The most laudable items of nursing care by category were: moderate satisfaction with 'perineal wound care' (2.04) and 'afterpain observation'(2.09). The overall level of satisfaction of postpartum care in the hospital. however, was very low. 2) Among other items of postpartum care in the hospital, 'postpartum exercise' $(25.9\%)$. 'assessment and support for postpartum depression' $(25.9\%)$, 'operation wound care for women who underwent Caesarean sections' $(24.5\%)$. and 'contraception and family planning' $(20.4\%)$ showed a need for home health care for postpartum care recipients above $20\%$. 3) The level of importance of traditional postpartum care (Sanhujori) was relatively high (mean 2.72). The importance of Sanhujori by category was as followed: 'the fourth principle: protecting the body from harmful strains' was the highest (2.88), 'the third principle: eating well', 'the first principle: invigorating the body by augmenting heat and avoiding cold', 'the second principle: resting without working', 'the fifth principle: keeping clean' and 'the sixth principle: handling with the whole heart' showed 2.85, 2.80, 2.70, 2.51 and 2.46 respectively. 4) The need for home health care with Sanhujori was very low. 5) The relationship between demographic factors and the level of satisfaction with postpartum care in the hospital was as follows: the satisfaction levels were significantly different among' delivery frequency' and 'health status' alteration after delivery'. 6) The relationship between demographic factors and the importance of the Sanhujori category was as follows: There were no significant differences in the level of importance of the first and the forth principle of Sanhujori. The level of importance of the second principle of Sanhujori was significantly different among 'income' and 'family type'. The level of importance of the third principle of Sanhujori was significantly different among 'having a boy'. The level of importance of the fifth principle of Sanhujori was significantly different among 'income' and 'feeding type'. The level of importance of the sixth principle of Sanhujori was significantly different among 'education background' and 'feeding type'. In conclusion. the findings of this study illustrate the nursing needs of postpartum care recipients. It provides a challenge to caregivers in the healthcare industry to develop a continuous postpartum care program and integrative postpartum care system that embodies the oriental and western paradigm for the promotion of women's health.

Identifying Characteristics of Incidents at Hazardous Material Facilities

  • 안전 및 품질 평가시스템은 유해물질 재난을 예방하기 위해 유해물질의 생산 저장 수송 취급에 매우 중요하다. 현재 유해물질은 플라스틱, 가정의 세척제, 비료 또는 석유관련제품으로 우리의 일상생활 어디에서든지 존재하고 있다. 그러나 유해물질은 인간이나 환경에 누출되었을 때 매우 위험한 물질이다. 유해물질은 석유기반 경제시대에 매우 폭넓게 사용되고 있다. 우리나라의 환경부는 전세계적으로 유해물질의 유형이 약 십만개가 넘을 것으로 추산하고 있다. 또한 매년 4백개 이상의 새로운 물질이 개발되고 있다. 따라서 유해물질 관리측면에서 우리는 유해물질 사고로부터 안전한가에 대해 의문이 제기될 수 있다. 1984년에 발생해 6,400명이 넘는 사망자와 3만명 이상의 부상자를 낸 인도 보팔사고는 이러한 우리의 유해물질 안전에 대한 불안을 증폭시키는 대표적인 사례이다. 우리나라는 최근 산업의 고도화로 각종 유해물질 사고가 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 따라서 낙후된 유해물질 관리시스템을 자기관리가 가능한 안전시스템으로 전환하기 위한 위험평가시스템의 구축이 우리사회에 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 유해물질 위험평가시스템 구축을 위한 기반을 제공하기 위해 지난 10년동안 유해물질 관련시설에서 발생한 사고사례들을 연구의 대상으로 하여 유해물질 시설사고의 특성을 빈도분석, 교차분석 등의 통계기법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 사고시설 유형과 연도, 계절, 발생지역, 사망자 발생간 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

철강산업 트렌드 분석을 위한 텍스트 마이닝 도입 연구 : P사(社) 사례를 중심으로 (A Pilot Study on Applying Text Mining Tools to Analyzing Steel Industry Trends : A Case Study of the Steel Industry for the Company "P")

  • 기업은 생존을 위해 수많은 정보 속에서 빠르게 상황을 인식하고 미래를 예측하기 위해 정량데이터 분석뿐만 아니라 비정형데이터 분석에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으나, 철강산업에서는 아직 활발하게 활용되지는 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 글로벌 철강회사인 P사(社)의 사례를 중심으로 텍스트 마이닝을 이용한 산업트렌드 분석을 시도해 경쟁사 전략, 관심국가의 시장변화, 해외사업장 여론 등을 파악 하는데 기여할 수 있다는 가능성을 발견하였다. 사례 분석은 철강산업을 10개의 카테고리로 분류하고 각각 10개의 주제를 선정하여 분석을 시도하고, 이중 의미 있는 변화를 발견하면 심층 분석하는 형태로 진행하였다. 이번 P사(社)의 사례를 통해 텍스트 마이닝을 통한 산업트렌드 분석이 더 의미 있기 위해서는 목적을 명확히 하고, 관련 키워드를 체계화한다면 경쟁사 전략 파악, 리스크관리, 정량데이터 예측 보정 등 많은 부분에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
