  • The major entity supplying the supporting infrastructure of the venture creation is the venture capitalists, university(and research center), and government. Especially, the role of the university and academic entrepreneurs is the key factor in the process of the technology transfer. The capacity(or role) of the academic entrepreneurs to craft a vision, and then to lead, inspire, and persuade key members makes an enormous difference between success and failure. And the supporting model of academic entrepreneurial venture creation requires that the systematic supporting system as well as the institutional framework for handling the conflicts among the members of a committed venture team. Among the a variety of organization, the university needs to supply the, formal supporting program such as technology transfer, university-industry cooperation, venture development, and the perception of the mere presence of policies and programs designed to encourage entrepreneurial activities for fostering economic development. Besides, careful consideration must be given to the role universities should play in the regional economy and what policies are appropriate to allow it to play that role effectively. On the basis of the above literature review results, this article suggests the supporting model for the venture creation by the strategic alliance composed of the industry, university, and government considering both of the entities's role and the motives of academic entrepreneurs in venture creating process.

  • The Korea Textile and Fashion Industry-Academic Association, which was established in 2004, has been operating without its own homepage until now. In 2019, it was judged that it was urgent to manage new members and build an installed homepage. Therefore, the program provided by 'I'mweb' was used by comparing domestic and overseas website manufacturers, and the reason is as follows. First, 'I'mweb' provides a web builder solution that allows individuals to easily create web sites without IT expertise such as program development, use of photoshop, and coding. Second, it faithfully provides bulletin boards and member management functions necessary in Korea, such as internet homepage builders and shopping mall production services. Third, there is an advantage in that it is easy to manage the homepage because it is convenient to use Q&A service through the administrator when building the web. However, it provides a responsive web function, but it is regrettable that the compatibility between PC and mobile is not smooth. This study is expected to be used as basic data for related research that needs help in opening a website in the future.

  • The graduation project, which is the final results of the capstone design course, is not only the highest peak in university major education, but also criteria of the practical skills of fourth grader who is supposed to get a job in the future. Therefore, it is needed to operate a capstone design course that reflects industry requirements and its support system for cooperation with industry. In this study, we present a case of the capstone design course and the industry-academic capstone design program at the department of Information and Communication Engineering in Sungkyul University. At the time being transitioned from offline to online class due to COVID-19, we evaluate results of the capstone design class over the past three years and induce improvements for the further operation of the class. This study may contribute to be a practical reference for ICT-related departments that attempt to apply social demands in their capstone design course through industry-academic cooperation

  • To enhance the university-industry collaboration, a novel program named as Internship & Capstone Design Integrated program (ICIP) is developed by Dongguk University. Senior students must take one Capstone design class for graduation. By participating in summer Internship and one-year Capstone Design work, practical problems given by businesses are solved. The ICIP is a Project and Internship-based course. By participating in summer internship and one-year Capstone Design work, practical problems given by businesses are solved. The internship course requires students to work in teams under mentors who work in the partner company proposed project themes. Students apply their academic experiences in constructing real projects at work under the supervision of their site mentors and academic advisor. In this regard, this study attempts to present a case study on the assessment of program outcomes using the Internship.

  • In order to develop a new fashion business curriculum, this study attempts to evaluate fashion business curriculum in both domestic and foreign schools and to analyze their existing training programs. The results of this study shows that the analysis of domestic fashion business curriculum shows that 'in the field' knowledge is in need for the new fashion education program where students can be more exposed to the industry environments especially in the area of markets, sales, distribution and management. Also, the analysis of fashion marketing curriculum of F.I.T and PARSONS school of design demonstrates their emphasis on practical as well as academic programs in marketing, distribution and merchandising. In addition, the research on sales person training program reflects that future sales persons will need stronger knowledge in customer analysis, product display and shop management. Based on these findings, this investigation proposes a revised second year fashion business undergraduate program. The academic program in this updated module will place heavier emphasis on such fields as marketing, distribution, product planning and sales management. Also recommended is that the second year students will be exposed to real-world experience by participating in various internships and workshops offered by major companies in the fashion field.

  • KOREATECH has operated a Co-op program called 'Industry Professional Practice (IPP)' that allows students to work full-time in relevant industries for at least four months since 2012, and also developed a systematic performance evaluation model on the basis of Kirkpatrick's four-stage assessment model. This study aims to share KOREATECH's Levels 3 and 4 evaluation results which are clearly what practitioners and academic investigators of cooperative education want to know the most. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted for KOREATECH graduates and their superiors to examine influence of IPP experiences on employment and job performance. A total of 730 alumni who graduated within last 5 years participated in the survey, with 213 (29.2%) having IPP experiences, and 162 superiors rated their subordinates on seven performance criteria. The analysis results were mixed. On the one hand, employment rate of IPP participants was 89.7%, compared to 86.8% of alumni without field experiences. Participants of the IPP program were more satisfied with their salary and felt less unfair about their career and promotion opportunities than alumni without field experiences. On the other, superiors rated their subordinates without IPP experiences slightly more positively than IPP participants in terms of job performance. These contrasting results are judged to show strengths and weaknesses of the IPP program at the same time. The limitations of the study and future research directions are discussed at the last part.

  • This paper presents several case studies of asian colleges's co-op program for successful operation of KOREATECH IPP(Industry Professional Practice) program. The IPP program is a new educational model that combines academic study and industrial work through university-industry cooperation. The IPP experience will lead the university graduates to improve their employment competencies and will be a key to solve the problems of the labor mismatch between university and industry. We will discuss and analyze the strengths and the weaknesses of the Co-op programs of the Kyoto sangyo university, the Hong Kong polytechnic university and the suranaree university in thailand. Based on these case studies, we summarized several benchmarking points for the successful operation of IPP program.

To enhance their competitiveness and have differentiation, it is emphasized for each department to manage and teach their students well. Therefore this study aims to examine self-efficacy and academic adjustment of aviation-related college students and investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and academic adjustment. To achieve the objectives, it conducted a survey of aviation-related college students in C university from Apr. 27th. 2015 to May. 22th. 2015. A total of 225 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 statistical package program and frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, correlation analysis and one-way ANOVA were conducted. The result released that general self-efficacy was recognized higher at the department of aviation operation than aviation maintenance and aviation service and social self-efficacy was recognized higher at the department of aviation service than aviation maintenance and aviation operation. Also general self-efficacy had an influence on the motivation, application and performance and social self-efficacy affected motivation, performance and academic environment. The implication of these findings would help to manage aviation-related college students, develop their departments and provide the directions for future research.
