  • In this paper, We Numerically Analyze the Performance of the 802.11 Power Save Multi-Poll (PSMP) Operation. From the Analysis, we have Power Saving Efficiency Indicating how much time is Used for Power Consumption Over the Entire Operation Time. Consequently, we can Estimate the Operational Efficiency of the PSMP Operation.

  • Abstract The DHCP power saving system provides advantage to driving active participation in which users installs the power saving software by restricting IP address through the power management server. However, the problem with this approach is the vulnerability to IP spoofing attacks, therefore we need to solve the mistake that disrupt the entire network system rather than saving electric power. In this paper, we propose the authentication system that can implement the efficiency saving power by providing high security for the members' computer system of the public institutions based on the saving power system.

  • In this paper, the UHF PD(Partial Discharge) sensors for $SF_6$ insulated MV $SF_6$ switchgear have been proposed and related investigations have been performed in order to detect the PD which were produced inside the MV $SF_6$ switchgear. Firstly, the internal type UHF PD sensor based on spiral antenna theory has been developed. This type sensor is highly sensitive and has lowly effect on by on-site noise. Secondly, the external type UHF PD sensor was developed based on log periodic antenna concept. This type sensor is removable and detectable for operating switchgear. These sensors were designed and simulated using RF simulation tool. In order to verify the sensitivity of these sensors, we performed the on-site test using the mock-up switchgears including the artificial defects which were the protrusion on high voltage conductor, free moving metal particle and surface defect on insulator. These mock-up switchgear were installed on the test distribution line.

  • 최근 국내에서 진행중인 스마트 그리드(Smart Grid) 사업 분야에 속해 있는 스마트 운송(Smart Transportation) 사업의 하나로 전기차 운영이 핵심이 되어 진행이 되고 있다. 그러나 실제적으로 전기차를 원활히 운영하기 위해서는 극복해야 할 여러 문제가 있으며 대표적으로 주행 거리를 좌우하는 배터리 용량 문제와 고객이 어디서든 전기차를 사용하고 충전하는데 불편이 없을 만큼 충분한 충전 인프라 구축 문제가 있다. 충전 인프라는 현재, 완속 충전기와 급속 충전기로 구성되어 있으나 본 논문에서는 완속 충전기에 한정하여 서술하였고 인프라 구축에 있어 표준화 일환으로 미국자동차기술학회에서 제시하는 SAE-J1772 규격에 맞추어 개발한 자사의 완속 충전기에 2012년 독일과 미국의 자동차 업체 주도로 발표된 국제표준(ISO/IEC 15118, Vehicle-to-Grid Communication Interface) 기술 규격이며 향후 충전 인프라에 적용 예상이 되는 PLC 통신 방식을 적용한 완속 충전기 개발에 관하여 소개하도록 하였다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the efficiency of government investment in the deployment and technological development of three technological areas - wind power, photovoltaic and fuel cell - of renewable energy in Korea using the DEA (data envelopment analysis). The efficiencies of government investment in renewable energies are measured and compared among three kinds of technologies using the actual data during 2007~2009. In the present DEA model, R&D investment and government subsidies for renewable energy usage promotion are selected as input variables, and the number of patents, supply level, and the production cost as output variable. As a result, it is found that the wind power is the most efficient renewable energy in Korea in the perspective of the efficiency of government investment.

  • In the introduction, this paper introduces LS Industrial Systems' medium-voltage drive installed at Hyundai Green Power, an 800MW gas power plant. In the body, it explains the synchronous transfer technology and new speed search technology applied to Forced Draft(FD) Fan and Boiler Feed-water(BF) Pump, which are power generation facilities. Lastly, it shows the annual energy saving amount and operation status which are applied to each facility and proves that it is a successful application case.

  • As a new Korean grid code which includes LVRT requirement to wind farm of which capacity is greater than 20MW is activated in 2012, this paper developed the analytical model of the Korean LVRT for the simulation based feasibility study of the wind farm interconnection into power systems. The developed model of the LVRT is verified by applying it into the performance evaluation of the wind farm interconnected power systems and the effect of Korean LVRT is analyzed through case studies considering typical disturbances of power systems.

  • In recent years, conventional streetlight is replaced by LED streetlight to reduce power consumption dramatically and to maximize lighting effects. However the characteristic of power LED itself driven by high current to increase the illumination, we need to develop effective heat release device. This study suggests new concept of heat dissipation device using PCM (Phase Change Material) and shows an experiment results to investigate thermal effects of PCM.

  • 본 논문은 100kW 급 비상발전용 ESS 상용화 개발을 제안한다. 비상발전기란 전력계통이 정지되었을 때 발전장치를 구동시켜 전력을 생산하는 자가발전설비를 말한다. 제안하는 시스템은 2Level 전압형 100kW 급 비상발전용 ESS 로써 정상 시 계통 전원과 동기 운전을 수행하는 계통 연계형 전력변환장치이다. 수배전 수용가에 설치되어 운영이 가능하며 일반적인 ESS PCS 기능인 주파수 조정 (Frequency Regulation), 출력 안정화, 첨두부하 저감 (Peak Shaving), 부하평준화 (Load Leveling), 수요반응 (Demand Response)에 추가하여, 자가발전 (Black Start), 무효전력제어 등의 기능을 적용 하였다. 제안된 100kW 급 비상발전기용 ESS PCS 는 시뮬레이션 및 프로토 타입을 이용하여 성능을 검증하였다.

  • To satisfy the requirements of a stable speed control, comfortable ride and precise landing in the high-speed elevator. The induction motor driving elevator is controlled by inverter using vector control method which calculates optimum torque to apply to the Induction motor. This paper describes the control system of high-speed elevator that consists of the voltage-type PWM converter with an unity input power factor and sinusoidal input current and the voltage-type PWM inverter with a precise speed control and sinusoidal output current. The test results of actual elevator are presented.
