설비배치계획에서의 개미 알고리듬 응용 (Ant Algorithm Based Facility Layout Planning)

  • Facility Layout Planning is concerned with how to arrange facilities necessary for production in a given space. Its objective is often to minimize the total sum of all material flows multiplied by the distance among facilities. FLP belongs to NP complete problem; i.e., the number of possible layout solutions increases with the increase of the number of facilities. Thus, meta heuristics such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Simulated Annealing have been investigated to solve the FLP problems. However, one of the biggest problems which lie in the existing meta heuristics including GA is hard to find an appropriate combinations of parameters which result in optimal solutions for the specific problem. The Ant System algorithm with elitist and ranking strategies is used to solve the FLP problem as an another good alternative. Experimental results show that the AS algorithm is able to produce the same level of solution quality with less sensitive parameters selection comparing to the ones obtained by applying other existing meta heuristic algorithms.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop rational layout model for small and medium scale industry in Korea. The methodology of this paper is to light the importance of small and medium scale company. Moreover, to overcome the problem of layout in non-massing jobbing production shop this paper is proposed four techniques. So proposed layout model is obtained analytically in single, multiple facility location problem The result of this paper is as follows : First, alternatives to overcome abnormal layout in small and medium company are 1) GT (Group Technology) 2) SLP (Systematic Layout Planning) 3) OR (Operations Research) 4) Computer Second, in single facility location problem, Gradient method and square weighted average method are studied. Lastly in multiple facility location problem, heuristic method is obtained.

Reliability Design Based on System Performance-Cost Trade-off for Manufacturing facility

  • The objective of this paper is to provide a model for effective implementation of costing RAM management in the design and procurement of production facility considering the system cost-performance trade-off. This research proposes a two-step approach of costing RAM design and test of system RAM for production facility. In Step 1, a static model is proposed to find an initial system configuration to meet the required performance based on system RAM and LCC and analyzes the trade-off relationships between various factors of RAM and LCC. In the second Step, we developed time and failure truncated models for system reliability test and analysis. For the computational purpose, we developed computer programs and have shown the sample results. By the sample test run, the proposed model has shown the possibilities to provide a good method to analyze system performance evaluation for both design and operational phase, This model can be applied to a wide variety of systems not only for costing RAM of the production facilities but also for the other kinds of equipment.

다중 베이 제조시스템의 설비배치 (Layout Design Problem in Multi-bay Facility)

  • This paper addresses the facility layout problem in multi-bay environments, where the bays are connected at one or both ends by an inter-bay material handling system. In most previous studies, the main concern is to allocate facilities or departments to the bays whose widths are fixed. In this research, we suggest the efficient models that provide the optimal layout solution under flexible bay width environments. We also suggest a mathematical model that provides the optimal solution using two-way facility allocation approach instead of one-way allocation technique. This paper also shows the approach of TABU search to the assignment and layout design of the departments. The results generated from TABU search are compared to the result from the mathematical model. Models are developed using mixed integer programming for various test problems and solved by CPLEX.

  • A deterministic capacity expansion planning model for a two-capacity type facility is analyzed to determine the sizes to be expanded in each period so as to supply the known demands for two distinct capacity type(product) on time and to minimize the total cost incurred over a finite planning horizon of T periods. The model assumes that capacity unit of the facility simultaneously serves a prespecified number of demand units of each capacity type, that capacity type 1 can be used to supply demands for capacity type 2, but that capacity type 2 can't be used to supply demands for capacity type 1. Capacity expansion and excess capacity holding cost functions considered are nondecreasing and concave. The structure of an optimal solution is characterized and then used in developing an efficient dynamic programming algorithm that finds optimal capacity planning policy.

A Two-Process Two-Product Inventory Model on a Single Facility with By-Product

  • This study is concerned with a single-facility production system in which two kinds of products, product 1 and 2, are produced by two different processes, process 1 and 2. Product 2 is produced either by process 2 or by process 1 as by-product, while product 1 is obtained only through process 1. The repeating sequences of the two processes and their associated lot sizes are determined which minimize the total inventory related cost. A solution algorithm is developed and is illustrated with numerical examples.

  • This paper focuses on the problem of scheduling wafer lots with limited waiting times between pairs of consecutive operations in a semiconductor wafer fabrication facility. For the problem of minimizing total tardiness of orders, we develop a priority rule based scheduling method in which a scheduling decision for an operation is made based on the states of workstations for the operation and its successor or predecessor operation. To evaluate performance of the suggested scheduling method, we perform simulation experiments using real factory data as well as randomly generated data sets. Results of the simulation experiments show that the suggested method performs better than a method suggested in other research and the one that has been used in practice.

공업고 전기과 '전력설비' 과목에서 LT협동학습이 학업성취도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of LT Cooperative Learning on Academic Achievement of 'Electrical Facility' Subject in Industrial High School)

  • The purpose of the study was to identify the effects of LT cooperative learning and traditional competitive learning on academic achievement by the level of learning ability in industrial high school students. The results of the study were as follows; the score of posttest of the experimental low grade group was significantly higher than that of control low grade group (p<.05), and the score of posttest was significantly higher than that of pretest in the experimental low and middle grade group (p<.05). Based on these results, it was concluded that LT cooperative learning had positive effect on the enhancement of industrial high school student's academic achievement than the traditional lecture learning. Its effect on high grade students was negative, but its effect was significantly positive on both middle grade and low grade level students.

건설 사업장 휴게시설이 재해감소에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on effects of resting facility on the Reduction of Disasters in Construction Projects)

  • This researcher selected basic variable to investigate the effective relations of establishment and management of resting facility on reduction of constructional disasters and safety accidents and improvement of working efficiency for construction workers. Based on the measured variables, this researcher investigated phenomenon, recognition and satisfaction for using and demanding resting facility by long-term construction in construction site for workers of huge construction site in Seoul, conducted survey of total 219 questionnaires so as to grasp implications of workers' resting facility demanded in long-term huge construction site and effects on reduction of disasters and conducted structural equation analysis. As a result, resting faciity factor, management factor, and hygienic service factor were significant and resting and food factors were not significant. Therefore, it's expected to reduce personal disaster by improving quality of constructional resting facility, hygienic service, and resting facility management and especially, resting facility management factor makes lots of effects on prevention of personal disasters, so it was a strongly main factor. By suggesting the guideline of establishment and management service of proper resting facility through this research, positive recognition and constructional disaster reduction can be expected in construction site.
