  • A data base design framework for predictive a preventive-maintenance system is presented in this paper in order to effectively control machines and reduce accident rates in the workplace. The data base is designed to meet general management requirements to evaluate different maintenance strategies. There are seven data files: the equipment list maintenace pesonnel, maintenance history, maintenance specification, spare part, maintenance equipment, and maintenance schedules. Each data base file has several record based upon data acquisition.

  • This paper is developed with software system for the construction of periodic maintenance. The system includes records of equipment, maintenance work, failure mode analysis and work standards of maintenability, inspection & repair to establish periodic maintenance system. And the software program is designed with user-oriented to analyze maintenance data and maintenance system of periodic interval times. Also machine operator can easily apply maintenance management system in production & manufacturing field. Visual Basic in the environment of Window system is used as computer program language for graphics and data base management in IBM PC.

  • Delayed repair to the failure of weapon system can cause enormous damages to military operation. Various materials like diagnostic equipment, general and special tools, technical manuals(maintenance manual and illustrated parts breakdown) and drawing documents are required for maintenance. For existing weapon systems the distributed environment of these various materials reduces the maintenance effectiveness of maintenance crew. In this paper, to provide the information of maintenance procedures and supply to the maintenance crew we develope a digital interactive electronic technical manual of the technical documents which can be used easily in computer through question and answer method and improve maintenance effectiveness and minimized repairing time.

Determination of Corrective Maintenance Priorities Using Joint Reliability Importance (결합 중요도를 이용한 사후보수 우선순위 결정)

  • In a large complex system, maintenance priorities for the failed components are important to maintain the sys-tern reliability at required level. Commonly used methods of determining maintenance priorities are based onranking the failed components by using reliability importance measures such as Birnbaum reliability importance,risk achievement worth and F-V importance, etc. In the preceding works, maintenance priorities for the failedcomponents are determined by using such existing measures, In this study, a new method of determining main-tenance priorities, which utilizes the joint reliability importance is proposed. By investigating the sign of thejoint reliability importance, maintenance priorities obtained by the existing methods are adjusted to yield new re-vised priorities. The revised maintenance priorities are shown to be more effective than the existing ones fromthe standpoint of the speed of system recovery, Effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by numericalexamples.

  • Currently, 10% of the domestic aircraft accidents and 9% of delays and cancellations were generated due to poor maintenance. Aircraft maintenance work is divided into works in material warehouse and in hangar. In material warehouse, the problem in aircraft maintenance work is occurred when the serial number of parts are identified and entered. In hangar, work order are duplicatively written. In addition, the maintenance information is not shared and then work order is wrong delivered. In this study, we analyzed the maintenance process and the informations that occurs in the material warehouse and hangar for large airline company to solve the problems. And serial numbers are replaced by QR code. And documented work order and manual are handled using the tablet PC. In conclusion, this paper studied smart work of maintenance process about tire parts. We expect to improve the inefficiency of identification of serial number and total maintenance time is reduced by real-time information sharing.

  • Management of maintenance parts in the aircraft have difficulty because of high cost of part, necessity of separate managements, and very many kinds of parts. The serial number of parts was used in maintenance process and then the results was depended on worker's ability. Also the workers used printed work order and manual at every time in maintenance processes. In this study, we analyzed the maintenance process and the information that occurs in the material warehouse and hangar for large airline company to solve the problems about inventory and visualization. Based on above analysis we developed the maintenance process with integrated by information technologies such as QR code and tablet PC. We expect the reduced errors resulting from visually checking and decreased work hours and maintenance cost and will finally develop the smart work.

  • Products which are sold with warranty, preventive maintenance actions by manufacturers and/or buyers have an impact on the total costs for both parties. In this paper, we develop the models to study the expected warranty cost for products with free repairable warranty with three types of discrete preventive maintenance. We deal with by utilizing the concept that preventive maintenance reduces the virtual age of the system. We assume that the maintenance planning horizon can be segmented into k discrete and equally sized periods. In such a scenario, numerical examples are presented.

  • To keep enterprise's competitiveness on condition of the automatic manufacturing system such as FA, FMS and CIM, all the maintenance problems should be considered seriously in not only production and maintenance but also related industrial safety. As we analyze in the surveys for the maintenance management of domestic enterprises and the causes of Industrial accident, there will be necessity of drawing up countermeasures for prevention of industrial accidents and for ensuring expertise maintenance technologies. Based on these analyses, this study studied the safety information system, maintenance management information system, and the machinery condition diagnosis technique by using of the knowledge-based system under the internet environment. This web based knowledge-based diagnosis system can easily provide not only the knowledge of expert about deterioration phenomenon of industrial robot, but also the knowledge of relating safety and facility on everywhere, everytime. Therefore, when we use this system, it is expected to improve the efficiency of business processes in the production and safety.
