A Study on the Formation of Architectural Design Education (건축설계교육의 형성에 관한 연구)

  • The architectural design methodology had been changed under control of Modern life. At that time, architectural design education was formed directly by modern architects for their professional characteristics, introducing the architectural design education to our college education of architecture on various sides. The purpose of this study is to explore the formation of architectural design education and its origin meaning on the basis of subjects and learning factors in the institute of architectural design education. The spacial subjects and learning factors can be studied in the aspect of process and method that molds architectural design education. As a result of this study, two properties in the architectural design education were revealed. One property is creation that was revealed by Ecoles des Beaux-Arts' architectural design education. Another property is that rationality that was revealed by in Ecole Polytecnique's architectural design education.

  • The foundation courses of industrial design from Bauhaus to today is, a delivery room of modern industrial design, played an essential role of the image formation in the current German design. In the foundation courses of industrial design that is required in our society, not only the concept gestalt should be understood, approached to industrial design through the integrated meaning of science and culture. In this paper, the historical establishment background of gestalt universities that contributed enormously to the development of German industrial design was analyzed, and then tried to understand the fundamentals of German design education. Also the results of the foundation courses at Bauhaus, Vim university and current German gestalt universities are compared to the products, which illustrates a typical German Image. With this comparison, the importance of the role of the basic design education was recognized, and using the results the necessary direction of the foundation courses in Korean industrial design was presented.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference of educational institutions and majors on Learning Participatory Motivation of Lifelong Education Organizations of Universities and Job Technical Colleges that are operating academic degrees on bachelor of fashion and associate of industrial arts in Academic Credit Bank System. The significance of this study is to provide basic information for educational institutions to promote efficient operation and devise a strategy for reinforcing educational competitiveness according to individual Learning Participatory Motivation and purpose of learners. In this study, educational institutions were classified into Lifelong Education Organizations of Universities and Job Technical Colleges operating academic degrees in Academic Credit Bank System. Degrees were divided into bachelor of fashion and associate of industrial arts, and majors were divided into fashion design and fashion business for bachelor of fashion and fashion design and fashion business for associate of industrial arts. Looking at Learning Participatory Motivation of learners, factors selected by learners as considerations for registration and selection of currently affiliated educational institution were found to be 'acquisition of degree at a university' and 'acquisition of degree' for Lifelong Education Organizations of Universities and fashion design major, and 'for employment' and 'acquisition of new knowledge and skill' for Job Technical Colleges and fashion business major.
