시뮬레이션을 활용한 교과교실형 운영 중학교 학생 이동행태 분석 (An Analysis about the Moving Behavior of Students by Simulation on Variation Type in Middle School)

  • This study was carried out to observe movement behavior of students about a change of physical condition in moving space of variation type using simulation technique. The moving pattern of students was checked by SIMULEX program. The width of corridor was adjusted to 2.4m, 3.0m and 3.9m and a flow coefficient of simulation was estimated with the change of width. The wider the width of corridor was, the lower a flow coefficient was, and the difference was large when the width of corridor was narrow. It was also observed that the flow coefficient was relatively high in all types of corridor setup individual locker. Unit occupation area with the change of width was additionally measured, as shown in the results, the occupation density was low when the width of corridor was wide and a stationary time was short.

  • As the faithful performance of ISPS of IMO, nowadays actually applicable an integrated safety and security system in and out of vessel should be organized in views of seafarers. Therefore, this paper is aimed to design a fundamental system for ship's integrated safety and security. The system of integrated grabbing will affect efficiently in any maritime field of material and human flow. Therefore this research will be expected to affect economical side by securing all the risk of maritime issues. In addition to the passenger ship and merchant vessel, it is applicable to other public and private vessels either. As a result of this paper, the system designed collecting various data through integrating the system including RFID reader, PIR sensor, and CMOS camera by putting an individual number into each unit that could be control at easy.

  • In the chemical industry, in the pharmaceutical industry, and in a number of other industries separation processes are necessary to separate and purify products and raw materials [1,2]. Separation processes are also widely used in other applications such as in recycling valuable materials from waste streams. Unit operations for separation processes can be classified in phase separation techniques and component separation techniques based on the nature of the feed mixtures to be separated. The former techniques are used for the separation of heterogeneous mixtures, in which the feed is already present in two or more separated phases on a micro-scale. The latter are suitable for the separation of homogeneous mixtures such as gaseous mixtures and mixtures of completely miscible liquids. tn these cases the separation into individual components is generally achieved by utilizing the differences in physico-chemical properties of components, and is much more difficult compared to phase separation techniques. Separation processes such as distillation, evaporation, liquid-liquid extraction, and crystallization belong to this class.

  • The SSPA makes the power level of EIRP up to 16W, and compensates for temperature to the SSPA´s maximum stability. The up and the down converters are dually conversed like as individual synthesizers for selecting of independent transmit-receive transponder. The function of the up-converter is to convert the 70MHz IF signal modulated in the indoor unit modem into a 14.0 ∼ 14.5 GHz Ku-band up-link signal to be sent to the antenna. The down-converter converts the 12.25 ∼ 12.75 GHz Ku-band down-link signal or a trouble malfunction of SSPA may be a fatal factor to operation of the whole satellite communication network.   • This study is a part of "Early Warning Service for Weather Risk Management in Climate-smart Agriculture", describes the delivery techniques from 840 catchment scale weather warning information using 150 counties unit special weather report(alarm, warning) released from KMA(Korea Meteorological Administration) and chronic weather warning information based on daily weather data from 76 synoptic stations. Catchment weather hazard warning service express a sequential risk index map generated by countries report occurs and report grade(alarm, warning) convert to catchment scale using zonal summarizing method. Additional services were chronic weather warning service at crop growth and accumulated more than 4 weeks, based on an unsuitable weather conditions, representing a relative risk compared to its catchment climatological normal conditions (normal distribution ) in addition to special weather report. Service provided by a real-time catchment scale map overlaid with VWORLD open platform operated by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Also provide a foundation for weather risk information to inform individual farmers to farm located within the catchment zone warning occur.

Novel Single-inductor Multistring-independent Dimming LED Driver with Switched-capacitor Control Technique

  • Current imbalance is the main factor affecting the lifespan of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting systems and is generally solved by active or passive approaches. Given many new lighting applications, independent control is particularly important in achieving different levels of luminance. Existing passive and active approaches have their own limitations in current sharing and independent control, which bring new challenges to the design of LED drivers. In this work, a multichannel resonant converter based on switched-capacitor control (SCC) is proposed for solving this challenge. In the resonant network of the upper and lower half-bridges, SCC is used instead of fixed capacitance. Then, the individual current of the LED array is obtained through regulation of the effective capacitance of the SCC under a fixed switching frequency. In this manner, the complexity of the control unit of the circuit and the precision of the multichannel outputs are further improved. Finally, the superior performance of the proposed LED driver is verified by simulations and a 4-channel experimental prototype with a rated output power of 20 W.

Technology Innovation, Human Capital and R&D Effects on Economic Growth

  • This paper analyzes the economic effects of the S&T Innovation, R&D, human resources and investment on the economic growth using 18 countries. We have obtained the somewhat mixed results on the existence of unit root roots in variables. While most of Pedroni cointegration tests show that there are no panel cointegration among the variables, Kao cointegration test shows that there is the panel cointegration among the variables such as GDP, human capital, R&D investment and patent. Kao cointegration test result shows that human capital, R&D investment, patent economic growth seem to have the panel cointegration or the long-run relationship among them as a whole. The estimation results of individual OLS and panel estimation show that the human capital, R&D investment and technology innovation or patent had positively significant effects on economic growth or GDP.

Is it possible to forecast KOSPI direction using deep learning methods?

  • Deep learning methods have been developed, used in various fields, and they have shown outstanding performances in many cases. Many studies predicted a daily stock return, a classic example of time-series data, using deep learning methods. We also tried to apply deep learning methods to Korea's stock market data. We used Korea's stock market index (KOSPI) and several individual stocks to forecast daily returns and directions. We compared several deep learning models with other machine learning methods, including random forest and XGBoost. In regression, long short term memory (LSTM) and gated recurrent unit (GRU) models are better than other prediction models. For the classification applications, there is no clear winner. However, even the best deep learning models cannot predict significantly better than the simple base model. We believe that it is challenging to predict daily stock return data even if we use the latest deep learning methods.

Impacts of Reward Accrual Effort on Redemption Behavior in a Multi-Vendor Loyalty Program

  • This research explores two key facets of behavior (reward point accrual and redemption) that consist of a loyalty program. It focuses on assessing the impact of accrual effort level on three types of redemption behavior: speed, unit size, and hedonic preference at the individual level by using large scale transaction data from a multi-vendor loyalty program providing flexible environment for point accrual and redemption. Findings from this research demonstrate that customers tend 1) to speed up point redemption, 2) to enlarge the size of redeemed points, and 3) to prefer utilitarian rewards as the level of effort at the accrual stage of reward point increases.
